I don't know if it's my wifi or what but my time seems to tick by "faster" than my opponent. It makes me wonder if there's a delay between when I start my turn and the actual time that my opponent finished their turn. If that makes any sense.
I have been dealing with time trouble in rapid as well, it's tough! Let me know if you find a solution, although I got a feeling that condition is chronic :) Some feedback on your overlay, those rotating socials in the bottom are quite distracting, these sudden movements in the corner of the eye while looking at the board. Could just be me though. Maybe consider static socials, or a slower/smoother rotation.
The feedback is well received! I’ll see if I can slow the animation down, I’ve even considered just adding some opacity to that rotator so it’s less distracting (I know because I see it out of the corner of my eye in OBS while I’m streaming lol). Thank you for the comment. Regarding time pressure, I say every time I’m going to do better and then end up in the same place!!
