What I don't like about songs like this one is that they are supposed to be about female empowerment yet still feel the need to shit on other women. Of course, a woman is not just there to sit still and look pretty, don't get me wrong I like and agree with this sentiment, but if you "want a diamond ring" aka if you want to get married that's great as well. Breaking down outdated gender roles is fantastic, but it's about recognizing that not all women are the same. It's not that no women should like jewellery or clothes or make up, it's about saying you don't have to like these things, not all women like these things and it's okay and great if you're not like that, but that also means that it's absolutely okay if you do like traditonally feminine things. Also, Merida struggled for her freedom. Ariel struggled for a sexy guy she had never had even 1 conversation with. I am so glad Eilonwy (hope I spelled it right) is included. She isn’t even considered a Disney princess 👑, and yet she is literally a princess 👸 in her movie. She’s strong, independent, and doesn’t need anyone. Heck, if I remember correctly, she’s the reason they even escape in the first place, because she was in the process of escaping first! She and Kida from Atlantis the lost empire need more screen time and love. I love this!!❤❤❤
