This game and Need for Speed Most Wanted were my childhood. Most wanted gets lots of love by the community with so many mods but this patch remasters the game. Thank you so much for this!
as someone who still plays the old CMR games, using a hex editor to have widescreen (with many menu glitches), seeing this patch (especially coming from you of all people) has made me so happy, you don't even know! i seriously wasn't expecting this game to be patched like this, especially with how obscure it is but oh my god it looks perfect!!! the menus, the UI, just everything. thank you, genuinely. CMR 2005 doesn't have an issue with widescreen at all, but 04 definitely does. it's similar to 3 seeing as the menus are wacky. are you going to fix 04 in the future as well, maybe for its 20th anniversary as well 👀

Much appreciated is the fact that you also made the patch for the Polish version, as it must have put you through a lot of additional work for a small portion of people, but it was what I needed, for I have the Polish release. As a Scotsman thank you for this! I just tested and there is a couple of bugs I noticed 1. id you plug in a controller at the controller select screen it crashes 2. once you setup the controller you can only scroll left at the screen to pick all the options
Sounds annoying, but you can probably remedy this by disabling the change remapping menu navigation from the analog stick to dpad, by adding this to the very bottom of the SilentPatchCMR3.ini file: [Advanced] ANALOG_MENU_NAV=1
CMR 04 has at least broken dynamic music themes change in menu. Also no widescreen, only non-working leftovers from Xbox. Maybe another bunch of rare bugs.

Jeżeli szukasz wyzwań to proponuję oryginalną wersję Alien Nations II, które na nowych procesorach ma bardzo mało fps i ogólne problemy ze spritami i kursorem. Wersja Gold z goga działa trochę lepiej, ale nadal niezbyt dobrze. Jest też legendarny Robin Hood Legenda Sherwood, który również kuleje na nowych systemach

But what about the EAX sound? No, very cool update/patch. Im playing through uploading all Codies games from 05 - 15. Why? I cant bloody compete in these new modern rally games. So narrowwwwwwwww. GG's. Nice to see Colin MCrae Rally 3 getting some love.
@@KvltKommando Yep it is! You can try Dirt Rally 2.0, it's certainly the best mix between arcade and realism I've ever seen. But overall, I still think Richard Burns Rally is the best for pure rally. When it comes to hillclimbs on tarmac/asphalt (whatever it's called in English, I have no idea), Assetto Corsa is my favorite though.
awesome job, man! i have a question, though. i've been playing these games for a long time and had no issues, but since i changed my pc, cmr 3, 04 and 2005 all freeze during a race randomly and eventually crash. i have tried data execution prevention, some compatibility settings, and even setting the affinity to just one core, but still nothing. all i can do is restart the game after a few races so i don't lose progress. but that's tedious. here's a link to a vid of this happening, broken up so youtube doesn't remove my comment: h t t p s : / / y o u t u . b e / U v d E v f r p x y M

This crash is apparently original and happens on an unmodded game too - I just missed it.
When the Codemasters intro came in... I started to tap the SPACE button from instinct.
never played any of the games before DiRT 1 before, but your patches are definitely on my list to install before even starting to play these games!
Never feel like the way of play for CMR3 and it's mods, it is great to see how it's done.

It's not, as based on what I saw it's likely near impossible to add new button bindings to the game without potentially breaking saves. Too risky
