You are right, this game is not meant to compete with DBd but to cohexist. DBD also started small, 4 survivors and only a few killers and map. I honeslty wouldnt be surprised if there was a collab between the games in the future.

Lol, rapid just showed how bm'able survivors are and i don't even want to mention that you can just sit at the end of the exit waiting for the killers to come to bm in their face since there's no "endgame collapse" happening. It's just a techical test, and i remember how everyone was hyped for friday 13 or last year, or ash vs evil (which i remember otz even shilling but then dropping it within a week, lol) or even that free dbd thing with schoolkids, and what are they are now? Barren wastelands, nobody plays them, and last year even gone free to play to stay afloat somehow. This game follows their footsteps very closely when it comes to design, how there's no randomisation in map structure, how there's "abilities" for survivors, which is a bad thing as ash vs evil dead shown with how everyone runs that one character with endless dodge or infinite ammo on some legendary gun. It won't survive half a year before becoming next EGS free game to pick up.

Just a suggestion. I get where he’s coming from, but, this isn’t DBD and I’m really hoping the toxicity can stay on the low side in regards to the community and “how the game SHOULD be played”.

The tension in this game is next level. The guys behind this and the Friday The 13th game really know how to make pvp horror games scary. I knew once they announced that they were the ones making this game I knew it would be good!
Love just how many ways you can escape/open up pathways. Also think its cool how each of the sawyers play differently. Like Bubba can just destroy escape paths.

I can't tell if the family can see your aura when they're near you or not, I've seen a couple ppl play this where it seems like they can see you just based off proximity and not if the player can actually see you?
Also we learned in this video that Rapid is not good at stealth

I got into the best match ever I got into a game it showed 2 Leatherface one was on PC the other was on PlayStation I said ready up please the game started the PC Leatherface spawned in basement he had walls the other guy was clueless and spawned upstairs lmao but it was the best match I been in so far I never laughed so much I have a screenshot of it also a short video clip but I'm assuming the PC Leatherface had force Leatherface on and that's how he joined the lobby as leatherface lmfao has anyone else ever experienced that 😂

Man I really want this game to succeed and do better with time. I just couldn't get back to dbd even after months of abandonment, boring and frustrating game that refuses to get better.
It's more that the game became more "mind games" where you have to circle around a loop and try to trick them. Problem is it becomes more frustrating. Theoretically a good mind game player could endlessly run the killer around a loop. Why it caused the player base to slowly drop

This is more of a Friday the 13th kinda game then DBD and will most likely suffer the same issues and have the same fate. It'll be fun 1st couple months then see a massive player drop from which it won't recover but that's ok. That's most games which aren't meant to be played for 7 years.
I play it more than 15 hours on both roles,I was waiting TCM from long time,the game should be out in August,and have a lot of fun,the gameplay it’s really good,no doubt about that since Gun Media are the same developers of Friday 13Th,but with Friday 13Th for a lawsuit the devs was forced to don’t make new content.I got higher hope in this game,since it’s a real horror and it’s gory too.We can’t test the others two members of the family,which are playable on launch.

Also, for starters, the heart is basically a time limit for the victims. All the victims start the game injured and it's only a matter of time until you meet your eventual demise.
The heart and health bar are completely separate.
The heart represents how much damage your body can actually take. It's not like DBD where you can just infinitely keep healing. If you take too much damage, you'll die of blood loss.

Bro yes and you need to play all horror games they make so many and not alot of creators cover the horror genre and you would add great comedy to it.
Game is fine, but Gun Media (or wtf they're called) will abandon the game in 2-3 months or so, never to update again. Just like they did with F13:The Game and all of their previous games.
i dont know what singleplayer games need to be constantly updated and it wasnt their choice to abandon F13 there was planned content it never got released due to a legal dispute
@@xmlw02 F13 isn't a single player game. It's basically the same as this game, but 1 killer (Jason) and up to 7 "survivors".
They abandoned the game pretty much after release. Right after release they went AWOL for 2 months before they adressed anything, be it hotfixes etc. Actually, when I think about it, they didn't come out with any hotfixes until 3 or 4 months later when they added a new DLC survivor.

I’m not sure how I feel on this yet. I have watched multiple videos and to me it looks like it has very little replay-ability. And it just seems to look unsatisfying. However I am still going to try it.
ngl i think an asym like this would be perfect: 1-2 killers, 2-4 survivors, each killer(s) has their own map, i.e. when you play against bubba you will always get HIS map; i think this idea would give a feeling of the killer bringing you, the survivor, to his world. The goal is to escape for survivors, the goal for the killer is to kill them. Characters have different perks, to promote stealth, endurance etc that are excludable, but with the ability to unlock more exclusive attributes (perks ig) the more you level up the character, with health bars that can be replenished. Each killer has a set of 'perks' that affect the basics of all killers (like a passive ability), like movement, FOV etc for example Bubba might be slower, or have a smaller FOV, but his perks give him advantages that other killers don't, like faster pace, or more precise hearing. But each killer also a special power (like an active ability), and 'perks' that can be unlocked through levelling up that character that will change the kit, for example Bubba might not get a chainsaw that is low but lethal, but instead uses a mallet that does less damage but is quieter and can be used more frequent. The basic 'perks' for each character would be exclusive and not interchangeable, which allows diversity, team metas, and certain survivors better on certain maps. Each survivor and killer could have a sort of ULT ability that builds up through actions (like killing or healing) or over time, where it allows them to stun the killer for a time for example (like the gun in Friday the 13th) or to track survivors for a time. Ontop of this, to add to meta, and similarly to Friday the 13th, each character may have different attributes, one may have better stamina, or run faster, or have more health. Same for killers, some may have a shorter stun time, walk quieter, walk faster etc. I just imagine licensing killers like Freddy, you and your teammates trying to escape him on elm street, where he is fast, quick, quiet. And the next game you are in Bubba's farm, where hes slower, louder but more lethal with his chainsaw. Ontop of this, each map could come with different objectives, Bubba's house for example might have the objective to start a generator by acquiring fuel, electrical parts, a tool box etc. or on Freddy's map survivors could try to find an alarm clock or something. I think what dbd lacks is fear and stealth, and no diversity, each map is the same, each meta is the same, the killers arent scary unless youre new to the game, and the objective on every map is the same, after thousands of hours pressing m1 and the W key just gets boring, killer powers are so similar and unthreatening and the addons are unbalanced. In this hypothetical asym game, i think the way to keep it fresh is by keeping 'perks' exclusive, making killers actually recognisably different, each match feeling somewhat fresh, adding new licensed and unlicensed killers with some real creativity, time, thought and passion put into them, and even taking idea from fortnite, by temporary vaulting items, and adding other new items in for survivors to spice up the gameplay. Also i am always one for customization so i think so badass costumes for killers and survivors would be cool, something like in MK11 where it changes the vibe, but you can still tell its that character, and theyre still spooky and intimidating, if youve read this far pls lmk what u think!

This game makes DBD look like the most fast paced balanced version of itself.
It's the same shit with World of Warcraft. Everyone overhypes the next new thing, but then after some time of really playing it, they realize its not as good as they thought and they want things to go back to what they already know or they'll just stop playing.

I deleted DBD and I won't be back on that game for while. The community is the most pathetic, nothing but harassment, death threats, telling me to commit suicide and what not and on top of that the developers favoring the entitled baby survivors that I'm surprised the game isn't even dead yet at this point.
