I am from Brazil and I don't have nordic blood yet I feel it in my heart. It is so beautiful. Einar's voice is like a blow of cold wind in my soul in a good way. Love it.
I relate to that. I'm Brazilian as well and love the viking culture, the music... it touches my soul in a way that feels like it's the source that gives me life.
It’s not about blood. It’s about returning to ancient spirituality and music. Combining the old with the new, filling the void modern life has created. We’re all one family. I feel the same thing hearing tribal drumming out of Brazil and all my ancestors are Northern European.
@abrahamisms flayed rectum ehat about redheads with green eyes? Vikings also had those color combos from what I understand. I'm sure many had brown and black hair as well.

The sacred spiral...every life meets death...and life springs from every death. In between, the Earth cycles through the seasons...a time to plant, a time to grow, a time to harvest and a time to rest. It is true for the Earth and true for the spirit. Einar's voice reaches deep inside, grabs ahold of the things buried in the spirit, pulls it up, holds it, acknowledges it for what it is and releases it to the wind to be transformed, to transcend, to heal and grow. This is not music to listen to...it is something to expirience.
The simplicity of the performance is amazing. Nothing major happening on the stage, just a bunch of talented people stood performing beautiful music. No gimmicks needed here!
Wow, I would absolutely love to see Einar and Ivar play live together! They are SUCH a great collaboration, magical. Truly touching, I love it more than I can explain 💞🙏🛡
Does anyone else find that when their music stops, for a moment your ears hurt with the empty silence? Must be what it feels like to be set adrift in Space if your spacewalk tether breaks. No other musicians/ singers have such power to reach deep inside me and reveal what was always hiding there.
This is unfathomably impactful. Both Enslaved and Wardruna have given me much strength in times of duress. Tears are the only true way I can express what I hear in this performance, it's simply breathtaking.
I can feel this song in my veins, in my blood, it moves my soul and spreads like a spider web through each and every single cell of my body, brings out something primal and conquers my mind. It's so intense and oddly calming at the same time that it brings tears to my eyes..
I almost feel like it touches on the generational memory in my brain. I often listen to Wardruna on those nights when I can not possibly sleep. Their music lets me drift at least even if I do not sleep. I have had several of the songs that I would almost understand in those drifting moments and have found out later that the song truly was very close to the meaning and words I thought I was hearing even though I do not know the language till I find the lyrics on line!
I listened the others version of this song and I can say that this one is from far the best. The violin at first is electrifying, the guitar immediately followed by the drum is like a powerful wave who dive us in the music. And the drum here truly create a strong atmosphere and not only follow timidly the song, it enforce the rhythm. Ah ! In my own opinion that's a true succes. I love it.
This music stirs my soul in so many ways. Even though I am not quite fluent in the language, what I can understand and the overall vibe of the song seems to suggest that life is cyclical. A life for every death, a death for every life. The world - the very universe - and every cell within our body even - has a beginning and an end. Chaos and Order are constantly at odds with each side pushing and pulling, never in sync for longer than an instant.
Leaving this comment out there. Thank you, Einar, Ivar, the other Wardruna members & those who have helped with Wardruna in the past or Einar & Ivar. Your music has had some of the biggest impacts on my life, so much that I have the Wardruna symbol permanently on my body, (with a double meaning). I am always thrilled to hear new music from you all, and old. Beste hilsener.
There was time in my life I was fascinated with black metal especially from Nordic countries...twenty years later this band completed my musical journey in search for absolute Nordic experience.
In my life, I made and heard a lot of music, starting with Pop music as a kid, then classical education, metal and funk, followed by 10 years of mainly Reggae music, followed by Folk and Trip Hop experiences and still the journey keeps going on. But listening to this swipes everything away and makes me just feel home in the emotion this evokes. I wish so hard I had people around me to be a part of this kind of music!

My best concert experience of 2019 - front row at Ivar and Einar's show in Prague. My heart trembled with the music, both emotionally and literally (into the rhythm of the soundwaves from the drums). Truly a heart-opening and soul-touching experience! Tusen takk for meg!
