So think again before saying No Voice Like Her's. I have gone to BGT but I'm still waiting for the results. I have literally sang all of her songs. From all movies. All songs right. Do Ray Mi at the ending is a middle level of difficulty It is C6.
No voice like hers translates to her incomparable VOICE , her rendition of each song she sings! She's got the perfect technique, the persona & that aura pf radiance & warmth , passion that makes her singular! No voice like Julie's, I stand by that! This is a better world bcoz of Julie Andrews!

I probably shouldnt be commenting on such an old vid, but this year my schools drama company had to have their senior cabaret online and one of the seniors sang this for her virtual performance and it melted my heart, I love this song
Oh my word... Her voice is simply... there are no words... magical. When I heard that she would no longer be able to sing I actually cried. It was people like Dame Julie Andrews who inspired me to sing. I have been told that I have a really great voice, but I wish that I had even a fourth of the pure talent that she has. She is still an amazing and wonderful lady, and I am so grateful that she chose to share her talents with all of us.
Not a hint of the diva mentality here., Andrews knows that the neither the lyric nor melody need any adornment or extra 'glitter'. She sings it simply and lets the intrinsic power of the work shine. Her voice is the vehicle, but the spotlight is always on the song. Too many performers haven't the discipline, or the confidence to do this. One may feel entitled to 'gild the lily' periodically, with some vocal pyrotechnics, but it isn't always an improvement.
Right on. What makes her appealing to me is the slightest hint of awkwardness that sets off her grace, that keeps her ever from seeming affected. Her mature voice is of course much better than that of the girl who first hit Broadway. Much lovelier. What a pro she is.
I disagree. This vid shows me she can rlly sing which I didn’t know. However, the climax required some chest voice belting, she did it in head voice cuz she hasn’t got the power, a bit anticlimactic to me
