As always thank you for commenting, liking and sharing my content. That is one of the best ways to help me out and contribute to my channel as well as keep my content free. Osa
    Inflamed scalp: Dermatitis Herpetiformis is an inflamed, itchy rash with bumps and blisters. The inflamed rash is chronic, and can continue over a long period of time left unchecked. Seborrheic Dermatitis is a waxy, oily, scaly scalp skin condition with erymetha or reddening associated with scalp irritation and inflammation.
    Emu oil benefits
    It can be used as a moisturizer and as a skin nourishing treatment. Many are turning to pure emu oil for helping with the battle against fine lines and wrinkles as well. Skin conditions tend to respond well to the anti-inflammatory properties which soothe the skin and help relieve inflammation.

    that's why I hate when people say oh your tender headed; like it's a genetic predisposition. something is causing it and it could just be dietary or environmental.

    My Family Fixed This - Naturally:
    1. Wash your hair with Sulfur 8 shampoo, using a silicone scalp massager.
    2. Let it dry naturally. Be sure to blot the excess water with a brand new towel or one that you have never used on your hair / body before.
    3. That night, SMOTHER your entire head with Vaseline - wrap it in a scarf and sleep that way. Why? The easiest, most 'natural' way to kill the yeast / candida and anything else that is living on your scalp which is what is probably happening - in a matter of minutes - is to simply smother it - NO OXYGEN means no ability to breathe, thrive, grow or survive.
    4. The next morning, mix bentonite clay, apple cider vinegar and tea tree oil (whatever ration you want...it really does not matter) into a bowl (do not use a metal spoon when mixing clay - use plastic or wood only). SMOTHER your scalp with the clay, let it dry then just sit under the shower and let it rinse off until the water runs clear. You may need to do this a few times to get all of the Vaseline off of your scalp and hair - but you'll see that you've just 'killed' the yeast when not one hair follicle itches.
    Repeat weekly, or as often as you need to and be sure to hot wash with white vinegar and baking soda all of the bedding, towels, clothing and anything else that it may be living on. (fyi never mix bleach and vinegar). We tried this - and it literally solved the problem overnight. If there is a new issue we just repeat the process. Good luck and God Bless!

    I just don't understand why all of a sudden this is happening to me. I have this problem with the feeling that someone is pulling my hair out, as well as my scalp burning, itching, and hurting. This also happens every time I move my hair. I don't see anything noticeable on my scalp. I'm afraid that my hair will fall out. I just did a big chop and I don't want to be bald. The reason why my hair/scalp could be acting like this, is because it could be either my eczema coming back, putting certain hair products directly onto my scalp, and on top of that scratching so much.
      But for some time now, the itching and burning of my scalp has gone down some, not completely, but it's almost quite mild. Hopefully soon I'll find out what's the actual problem. I'll update if there's any changes :)

    I have SD, seborrheic dermatitis. Oils and conditioner on the scalp is bad for me (it feeds the fungal overgrowth). I need to wash with harsh sulfates to keep it at bay and with my medicated shampoo (Nizoral 2%), which is prescribed to me. Not every scalp issue is the same. Always have it checked out by a doctor / dermatologist. It's worth it not having to go through all the experimenting on your head!

      It is *very* drying, oh yes sure it is. :) I combat that with conditioning twice after washing. Yes, twice. Sometimes 2 masks, or even a lighter conditioner and then a deep conditioner (hair mask), and that seems to work well for me. I do the LOC/LCO method afterwards and I'm set for the week. Sometimes I do an oil rinse after washing (just on the lengths of the hair as I can't let it touch my scalp). It works for me. Thanks for letting me share! Appreciate it. :D

    ohhh I have the same problem, the doctor send me medicated shampoo Ketoconazol 2%, but it dries out your hair and the first week you have to use it every day. Then I started to use head and shoulders the almond one, it does not dry my hair that much, but I must shampoo my hair every 3 days or so, other wise it starts to itch a bit. Just recently I discovered rhassoul clay and I loved it, and it left my hair very soft, but it was very messy.
    Oils seem to make it worse if I dont wash them out within half an hour or so. Hope you find something that works for you. Hugs

    • @Britanyph
      @Britanyph 7 лет назад +1

      TheWashAndGoChick I appreciate your comment. where did you get rhassoul clay from? my hair is very dry but I get head aches with oil in my scalp. so its like a catch 22. I tend to just put the oily products at my ends or midway away from the scalp. but that doesn't solve the dandruff or occasional itch. and like you said i get "fungal" like substance in my scalp. probably from thick moisterizer cream. mine is white. is that the same thing? sorry for such a long comment 🙊

    • @AlucardPeach
      @AlucardPeach 6 лет назад +5

      TheWashAndGoChick if you have dry scalp (which most dermatologists try to say doesn't exist, they say it's dandruff [seborrheic dermatitis] and treat it with things like head and shoulders or ketakonazol - basically you should avoid dandruff shampoo) so if you use those things, the irritation can get much, much worse. I do not understand why dermatologists think dry scalp doesn't exist. There's thousands of threads online with millions of people who have been suffering for decades and who keep getting misdiagnosed and mistreated. They also say to wash your hair more often (bc they truly think it's dandruff/seb derm, but again, that makes true dry scalp much worse. I wash my scalp and hair no more than twice a week. I found a shampoo on Amazon called Anti-b that works very well. It's packed with natural ingredients that are antibacterial, anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory, and moisturizing. It's got no sulfates. But... It's pricey. I have tried a few different tea tree shampoos, but the only one that didn't further irritate my scalp was the Jason brand tea tree shampoo. Also no sulfates or parabens. A lot of people swear by the Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Special shampoo, but it's loaded with chemicals and burns my scalp. In 25 years of fighting the dry irritated scalp war, the Anti-b and Jason Tea Tree shampoo are the only things that help. I had tried many co-washes, and a lot of the different Shae Moisture brand shampoos, but with no luck.
      As far as oils, many people's scalps don't take well to certain oils, and the oil actually suffocates the scalp. Coconut oil is very popular, but not great for a lot of people. I haven't tried the Emu Oil yet. For me personally, I can't leave oils on my scalp for very long. I would love to be able to wrap my head and keep an oil on overnight, but my scalp doesn't breathe well with oils. I recently heard to use just plain ol' vegetable oil, but I have not tried it yet. I like to take a comb and lightly but quickly go over my dry patches to loosen them up before massaging an oil in or washing my hair. With the Anti-b shampoo, I use just a tiny bit of water, just enough to thin the shampoo out a bit because it's quite thick, and massage it onto my dry scalp. I leave it on for 10-15 minutes, then add water and wash it out. I hope that helps. There's a lot of us out here struggling with this issue. It gets very itchy, the dry patches often end up pulling off a whole chunk of skin, leaving raw patches that burn and scab, and it can be very embarrassing. I pray you'll find a solution soon. I will say that it's treatable but not curable, unfortunately. God bless you

    thank you for sharing. I need to try this because my scalp gets so inflamed and tender with SD that I cringed when you parted your hair. I don't part my hair because it hurts so much. I'll definitely try this. does it have an off smell? have you tried essential oils in it, or do you just keep it simple? your hair is looking amazing. keep up the good works, and your educational videos coming!

    I tried Emu Oil a while back, not for my hair, but for my skin.. I stopped using it because it smelled so bad. Did I just have a bad batch? Or does all emu oil smell that way? Has anyone else tried it? How did it smell for you? I want to try it again for my daughter's tender scalp.

    @pajamagirl123 ...gm princess !!! Yes it's a game changer for sure ...!!! Definitely helps !!! I'm still trying to figure out what to mix it with to combat that God awful smell !!! I have been doing protective styles lately so I cant use it in my crochet bc I would NEVER EVER, NEVER EVER get that smell out of the hair lol.....i use now before installation & after the take down. I actually have enough hair now to slightly, I mean slightly cover the balding area , but I'm thankful bc it was as bald as your arm . Thankful for the small blessings. I'm glad you tried it & had success. It seems as though everything that works really well stinks like the Dickens!!! Have a blessed day sis :)

    Hey everyone. So I went to the doctor because for months my scalp has been itching and burning. Soon after that it started to become super tender to the touch. Then my hair started falling out. My doctor doesnt really know why this is happening. But I dont have inflammation on my scalp and it most likely is a Bacterial infection. She proscribed me some shampoo to use to make it go away. I hope it helps me. I just want my hair to grow back. I'm 24 btw. Idk if that matters lol

      kevameansbeautiful I hope this helps. www.truthinaging.com/clearly-emu-ultra-clear-emu-oil it's somewhat expensive but this brand was low on the smell factor. It's only for treatment purposes btw so bi weekly or even monthly treatments should make it last a couple uses. 😊

    Question: I am "Tender headed" It's been 1 year and 5 months since I got a Sew in done. I just got a Sew in done on Last Monday. The crown of my head started hurting so bad to the point where I had to take it down. The crown of my head is still hurting it's been 6 days I don't know what to do. Do you think my crown is so Tender from the tight braids or I might have a slight headache?

    • @slideshowcinema2316
      @slideshowcinema2316 6 лет назад

      I think it's from the braids i use to have sensitive scalp because of my mom brushing my hair dry when braiding and braiding it so tight i stop braiding and went natural now and my hair is healing now its getting better but i advice to stopping braiding your hair or don't braid it too tight then you hair be okay take a break from braiding and try letting your hair down as much as possible hope this helps
