About Nora:
Nora Alexander is a dancer, vocalist, and actor lauded for their performance of Dee Dee Allen in The Prom.
Nora (she/they) recently placed 3rd in the 2024 Hart House Musical Theatre Slam. They received the Mayfield Drama Award in 2022 and 2023, and won Best Cinematography at the RAP Awards for their short film The Rabbit. Their team ranked 7th in Canada at the National Improv Finals in 2024.
Since the pandemic they have performed steadily. Highlights include Eurydice in Hadestown, Sandra Wilkinson in The Play That Goes Wrong and Katherine Plumber in Newsies. They are particularly proud to have played a Cut Dancer in A Chorus Line, pulling on their 8 years of dance training with Joanne Chapman.
They have sung the National Anthems at the Rogers Centre, been a soloist at the Toronto Jazz Festival and performed vocal jazz classics with the Orchestra at Club Bluenote.
Nora has trained under Rosalind Mills, David Connolly, Steven Yaffee, Tracy Freitas, and Jason King.
