  • hi hm yes i did a thing
    credits:
    i drew the thumbnail
i played the song in the video, which is essentially just me trying to improvise off of "martian underground" from yume nikki
massive props to my shower for running in the background and giving us that spicy [A T M O S P H E R E] (surprisingly, i didn't have to do too many takes for this video, so i got there just in time for the water to both still be hot and not have to wait for it to heat up lol)
that's it for the credits woo amazing now time for talking too much !!!
so it's been a little bit, right? i've been working on some other stuff (most of which are hella boring but i'll hopefully get to mention one of the fun ones here soon) and am pretty busy, but i thought i'd just record some piano stuff here since it's been a hot minute since the last time i just sat down and recorded some real life piano playing.
ooh also i got into yume nikki recently! fun game. i just found this room like a few days ago and i just love the whole atmosphere. it's almost like the same thing that happened to me with white space from omori: the music is so hypnotically simple and yet incredibly sad and i don't know why but it makes me want to listen to it again and again to figure out why it feels like that.
it kinda reminds me when i was first learning how to make music, and i was looking at every song i loved and thinking "what makes this song tick? why does it make me feel the way it does?" and trying to figure out why. that's actually a big reason why the first video on my channel was that white space/lost in a sleepover arrangement piece: white space and lost in a sleepover were so simple and yet made me feel and think so many things that i just couldn't resist trying to figure out what made them like that, and that resulted in me messing around and eventually creating an arrangement with the two fused together. all in all, i rlly like that feeling and i'm glad i can relive it to an extent after like two years of learning more about music lmao.
anyway insane midnight ramblings aside, i think i'm gonna dip for a few months again and hibernate (which is what i WISH i was actually doing most of the time, but eh), so i'll see you all again later!!
again, thank y'all so much for sticking around and listening to my silly music, and i hope you all have a great rest of your day!
    surprise nerd (affectionate), get :3'd

Somehow, the way you play the piano reminds me of the FNaF 3 Good Ending theme, and I really like it (It took me 2 replays to heard the shower solo, but it absolutely worth it )

This reminds me a lot of this one specific moment in my childhood.
I would get sent to my aunt's house a lot because my mom and dad were always at work or busy, leaving me and my brother alone a lot, and not associating with us much. As a result, my aunt would often take us.
She had a piano in her living room, and me and my brother were always in awe of it. All the keys it had... The pretty sounds it made... And my aunt actually knew how to play a few songs on it.
One night, she had played A little song on it for me when I was crying. I don't think I'm ever going to forget that.
(Sorry for the long comment haha)

you should!! it’s a little hard to get used to the fact that it’s so abstract and directionless, but that’s really what makes it so fun.
