A pleasure to watch, as always. In your playthroughs you somehow manage to combine clear and to the point explanations with loads of humour and witty language.Truly great stuff this!
Hi vodevick. Thank you for the kind words. It's great to hear that you are enjoying the content. :) Thanks so much for the continued support. It means a lot. Cheers Paul.
26:11: By the gods, this is insane... I understand wanting to add difficulty, but has the game changed so much you "get a pool" of eldersigns you have to spend? Permanently removing yourself from adventures to seal the GOO? *Shakes Head* Also, I'd honestly just leave out certain investigators as the game is very luck-based: Amanda Sharp is kind of bonkers, as is Marie Lamboe and Kate Winthrop. Sister Mary is awesome, but unless she's paired with another boss investigator her abilities aren't that game-breaking. In either case, looking forward to where this goes. Good luck, CW!
Finally finished watching this one (got busy over the last few days). First off, I've never understood making things harder, especially for your first play through of the game! Secondly, interesting mix of characters, and of course the Expedition Leader's going to find a map!
+Mark Carpenter Hi Mark. It was something I went for after watching a few playthroughs and reading up on the 'geek. And to be honest it is a pretty straightforward base game if you concentrate. Gates of Arkham and Omens of Ice really step up the difficulty though. I think I mention it a few times during the playthrough but I think this would be a great gateway game for the Mythos. New players can familiarise themselves with the weird names, investigators, monsters, ancient ones and some of the basic concepts in a quick game where you aren't overwhelmed by the rules, set up and tear down and the daunting amount of 'stuff' that AH and EH bring right out of the gate. Plus they can win a few games... before they change up and the real fun begins mwahahahahaha.
Heheh, sounds good. Yeah, I've been wanting to get a friend of mine and some others into AH, but haven't been able to get together for a game. He suggested just playing with the base game, which I can agree with, but would probably add the Injuries and Madnesses, just so people will be able to keep their stuff in case of defeats.
@@TuxKamen You probably know this by now, but Eldersign was apparently invented since the creator of AH wanted to get their kids interested but it was too complex. Base game was apparently parent-tested, kid-approved.
Good explanation. Only have elder sign and gates of arkham. One I think it's too easy and the other too dificult eheh. One interesting game combining the three games... You start at eldritch (World), go to Arkham (city) and then museum in arkham eheh.
Greetings CW- As I look at FFG’s website and a Google image search of this game - Meh! My version of a boardgame is a game with a board, so we shall see if CW can convert me to the dark side and see the light. Now onto the game - minus a board. Awesome intro/outro as usual there CW. The investigator picture along with the font and music is setting the mood straight off! Would have to agree, the artwork in ES is very good; as well as in AH and EH. Bit confused on this ‘moving onto the ancient one’s card’ - we shall see. Interesting why they did not use the magnifying glass as the clue token instead of the shoe. Nice setup you got going there; fits nicely in the camera shot. Yeah OCD!!! LOL A blind playthrough - uh oh. LOL Nice shout-out to the other video playthrough makers. Awesome Game Tracker information. Intrigued, but fully convinced yet. Cheers Jonathon M. Johnson
I think I remember hearing something about a Museum. So the 'Unseen Forces' is played inside the Museum and then there was another expansion that is played in Arkham?
+Stasia Doster Thanks Stasia. :) I'm Paul but I know who you mean! ;) :) I wont be able to gauge any difficulty change myself as it is my first game but hopefully it'll be a nail biter!
Any info on where to get some of the accessories you're using? I'm having trouble finding something that's decent quality to hold the mini cards. The dice tower seems pretty handy too.

Great I'll be looking foward to it. I want to get the game but it seems a little easy. I wanted to see how the expansions stack up before I made a purchase.

+pencilpauli lol. At least Elder Sign has a smaller footprint that Arkham Horror! You might have to clear some room for Eldritch though! I have been watching Johannes playthrough - I'm rooting for him to finally get that win!
No pencilpauli... Be your own mold and throw the others in the trash. Find your niche and you will accelerate. Pretty soon spending more and more money on boardgames. Oh the addiction! Cheers Jonathon M. Johnson
Hi TheFewzz. Yep I have that expansion and will certainly be giving it a spin in the future :) Depending on how these go I'll see about getting Omens of Ice. Cheers Paul
@@Catweazle00 one more question, when you said the little squared box monsters would go, what if a monster is supposed to spawn and there's no squared box for them?
jill valentine tifa Lockhart Sandwhich Hello, Jill. You would then just add a monster marker on any card you choose. Usually place the marker at the bottom of card, just above the (reward/penalty symbols). Hope this is helpful.
Hi Oleg. Oh it isn't a patch on Arkham or Eldritch but it is a great little filler type game. I think it would do a good job in introducing brand new players to the Mythos and getting them used to the monsters and investigators and the whole feel of the Arkham based games. Even in this simpler game the rules are a bit ropey - so it would get prospective AH and EH players ready for that aspect too! :D

Awesome instruction! Unseen Forces is a great expansion. Love to utilize the cursed/blessed die mechanic.

Nope. No board Jonathon. Although the cards do make up the rooms within the Museum. A clever effect. Also a nice quick little game. Cheers CW.
I think I remember hearing something about a Museum. So the 'Unseen Forces' is played inside the Museum and then there was another expansion that is played in Arkham?
I wouldn't remove any cards
Nice Job man. Thanks for the video.
Thanks Alex. I hope you enjoy the series. :)
Chapel right next to the museum... would this be the Historical Society, then? (Going by Arkham Horror geography, at any rate)
The Museum may well be in Southside! Good detective work Joe errr Mark! :)
Good luck, Pete! I will be interested in seeing how the house rules affect the difficulty level.
+Stasia Doster Thanks Stasia. :) I'm Paul but I know who you mean! ;) :)
I wont be able to gauge any difficulty change myself as it is my first game but hopefully it'll be a nail biter!
Catweazle Oops! Sorry about that, Paul.
I hope it will be a nail biter too. Games are so much better that way.
+Stasia Doster No worries Stasia. :)

You should def try Gates of Arkham, it is so much better, and then there is the new one Omens of Ice, now that is the best yet.
Hi TheFewzz. Yep I have that expansion and will certainly be giving it a spin in the future :) Depending on how these go I'll see about getting Omens of Ice. Cheers Paul
Is it okay to keep unseen forces with the base game? Like Everytime the game ends I can just leave it all together minus the other expansions
Yes that's fine Jill 😊
