Of course it's a Valiant. That is exactly the type of car that Homer and Marge would buy. Not the car Homer wants, the car Marge would agree to. This or a Dart.
You sure? I thought it was from the 70s. My sister and her husband had 3 of them and they all dissolved in Massachusetts winters. No stopping the slant six, though.
@@haweater1555 While nothing is exact for eaither car, there were no 4 door pinto wagons, and the tail lights are in the bumper like a 1975 Malibu wagon.
Homer: "Listen here, buddy; I want some quality GM parts!" Mechanic: "This car was made in Croatia. It's built from old Soviet tanks." Homer: "Just get it done, Mister!"
My father had a Plymouth Valiant! I used to love going on road trips with him in it! He ended up parking it because parts were hard to get and being automatic transmission, he didn't want his left leg getting lazy so he bought a manual Morris Marina. Kept that for years eventually settling on a 1992 Toyota Hilux double cab. A lot of rust spots today, can't find an honest and punctual garage to restore it. And he's not getting younger so someone might need to step in soon to chauffeur him around. Someone should build the Fasterosa or the car that ruined Herb's career!
What about making Moe's car? It's so damn funny when Homer is stealing it and planning to leave it on the railroad tracks for insurance fraud but ends up crashing down underwater for being a dumbass then later gets arrested!
Its not a replica just the same color. I mean wheres maggies steering wheel. Plus youd literally have to a ground up 1986 plymouth junkerolla which is a fictional car that he actually drives
No, I would love love love for you to interview him again and ask him about his Ghostbusters car. Being that there was only 25 of the 1959 Cadillac miller, meteor I really would love to know just exactly what model his is. I just love how he is re-created both of these vehicles. He’s done an amazing job.
i want to like it. i love that someone built it. but to me homers car was either a 1973 plymouth fury but with twin headlights opposed to the qud headlights, or a 1970-1972 chevrolet chevelle but with the front and rear fascia of a chevrolet monte carlo of the same vintage.
IIRC the Lore is that the "1986 Plymouth Junkerolla" was made in Guatemala (to get around the Auto Workers Union demanding "actual wages...how dare they!") using Soviet Tank Parts Shipped in from Yugoslavia (via Malaysia to keep the Feds from finding out that an American Company was sending money to the Soviet Union!) and whatever else was lying around, Built by untrained (and unpaid...wages reduce profits!) Labor based on a Platform and Design that really should have been put out to Pasture in the Late 1960's as it did not in any way meet 1980's Safety or Emissions Standards...yet still got sold... with, Essentially, a 1950's Engine and Gearbox , bit of a Spoof on just how *Dodgy* some of the American Car Companies were back in the 1980's....
I hope there will be someone who does this perfectly, this one is great, its just not top level, some obvious things are back end is at 90° and its too skinny from side profile, its too long and rear light fins are small. Front bumper is too small, hood doesnt have the aero stripes or however you call these bodywork lines, door handles are skinny, tires should be higher profile, with bit smaller diameter. Even that dent is inwards, and obviously done with a machine. Im just saying, im surprised no one actually made a replica of such a iconic car, but im happy this guy did it, i bet it brings lots of smiles.
plymouth valiant 1968/ 70 ( or plymouth fury 1968 ? ) ! Homer have more an old pink cadillac due to rear lights shape....Well done, now U need to be yellow, to have big eyes, drink beer, and take weight bro ! well done.........take care, thansk fro sharing : )
It's a 67 Valiant. no side marker lights plus key in dash allude to it being that year. Also turn signals under the headlights painted. After late 68-69 they were in the grille.
The reporter's "D'oh" entering the car cracked me up. Wasn't expecting that. Nice touch!
I wonder if that was the first take, or were there a few takes to get the annoyed grunt just perfect
This is the "I meant to do this as a gag but I miscalculated and it actually kinda hurt" type D'oh, making it feel that much more authentic lol.
Next, "The Homer"
YES!
🤣🤣🤣
Monterail!!!!!!!!!!!!! DOH!
With rack and peanut steering.
Lmfaooo 👋😂👍
Now need to do the Canyonero
There is a bike called the Canyon Areo
I saw an Escalade with Canyonero as the license plate.
MPG: 1 Highway, 0 City
Smells like a truck, seats 35 .
Already have the canyonero, it’s called a suburban
As a resident of Springfield (Illinois), I’ve been wanting to build a Junkarolla for years!!
Same from Springfield Illinois
Why are you goobers there? One of these days when Jelly Belly walks by the city will collapse in to magma.
There's a small Simpsons mural here off of Allen Street
In case you guys are wondering the car is actually a 1967 Plymouth Valiant sedan.
Of course it's a Valiant. That is exactly the type of car that Homer and Marge would buy. Not the car Homer wants, the car Marge would agree to. This or a Dart.

It's a 1973
@@AnthonyTyler-w6t The 67 thru 73 Valiants all had the same body. I don't see a way to positively identify the year from this video.

Canyoneroooooooo
Does the car have "Soviet Tank Parts" like in the show?!
I was just thinking that the cool factor would be amazing.
This car was made in Guatemala.
The country it comes from no longer exists.
@@JanosBanics Put it in H!
My father used to drive a 1969 Plymouth Valiant. I drove a 1973 Plymouth Duster back in high school. I miss seeing those cars everywhere.
I love that they managed to make the paint cartoon-ish as well. What an unexpected and cool build!!
The racing series 24 Hours of Lemons, has a " Homer " designed car.
In show they called this car a "1986 Plymouth Junkerolla"
But still....it's always a 3rd gen Valiant (like in this video) than 80s Plymouth,
If he made it a convertible, it would just be like the starter car from Hit & Run.
The ding in the driver's side fender is a nice touch. It's just an 8-track player away from absolute perfection 👌
I already wanted a Plymouth Valiant from before, but now I need to have one.
Provided your name is not David Mann ;)
cool. He should drive it to ComicCon
Yeah this is starting to feel like🤨almost just like real life TV shows and movies of these cars
I just want to know did he put a piece of tape over the the illuminated check engine light?
I just this story on channel 7news. So cool! Had to send it to my sister. We are huge Simpsons fans! Nicely done
I like the build, always thought 80's crown vic roofline was closer to the cartoon though
Put it in H
Gets 300 hectares on a single tank of kerosene.
@@patrickaker4380The metric system is the tool of the devil! My car gets forty rods to the hogshead and that's the way I likes it.

I want a fly hood ornament
What country is this car from?
Someone show this to Matt Groening. He loves this kind of thing.
Did you use steel from Russian tanks (imported from Croatia) for the replica? Just for the sake of authenticity ;)
Does it have Rack and Peanut steering?
I know it’s a theme car but the painted door seal is killing me
I don't see any speed holes
Dan Castellaneta, Julie Kavner, Yeardley Smith, and Nancy Cartwright would be surprised of being in that car with Dan driving it.
That white R8 looking pretty snazzy too. Tim seems like he’s awesome
Winter is coming need a PLOW KING truck.
It's almost winter where's Mr Plow!!??
Wow! An actual 1986 Plymouth Crappicola.
1:56 that's what he wants he wants have that thing that's why would they do they're a big fan of these real life vehicles🙄 unbelievable
Now I want to see "the homer" come to reality
It might ruin the car but you forgot the big dent that Homer never fixed
Homer: "Listen here, buddy; I want some quality GM parts!"
Mechanic: "This car was made in Croatia. It's built from old Soviet tanks."
Homer: "Just get it done, Mister!"
Hey, where are the speed holes?
I remember that Homer's Sedan was made out of old Soviet tanks.

Does it have a stereo player with a "Best of Bread" 8 track tape?
In the opening with real people, Homer drove a Lada 2105
two of the best sitcom dads drove Dodges, Homer Simpson and Al Bundy
I am pretty sure, Homer had power windows. =)
The animators had no business being annoyed by animating a cranking motion.
I want mine to have speed holes.
All it needs is the round tail lights from a porsche and it will look dead on
I love how it also has the crumpled fender too
What about making Moe's car? It's so damn funny when Homer is stealing it and planning to leave it on the railroad tracks for insurance fraud but ends up crashing down underwater for being a dumbass then later gets arrested!
What's up with the dice door locks? I've never noticed them before.

I literally saw this car for sale on marketplace, granted I live 30 minutes away from Muskegon
homer had a radio in his car.
So the take away is homer was a mopar guy lmao
Nice R8 in the garage 👍🏻
"D'oh" - "Duel" 😆
I have also ever seen a Valiant in Homers car.
It has to have a Slant-Six.

Bravo, but, I'm a hobbiest car designer, this is a Plymouth Valiant, the true Simpson's car is more a Cadillac in the rear
In New Zealand we call this paint job the "Cuzzie special"

I saw this on FB market place! lol
I’d scream ‘Nerd’ at someone every 5th time I’d get out of it.
Money fight😂😂😂😂😂
Was it made in Croatia, out of old Soviet tanks?
nice, but just close!
there are no speed-holes in the hood to make it go faster!
Is there a patch of electric tape covering the "Check Engine" light though ? An it is crucial that the adhesive be weak 😮
Very cool. I thought Frank Grimes said Homer's car was built in Malaysia though 😂

This is a custom-built Plymouth Valiant V200, probably from 1967. Likely under the hood is a 235-bhp 273 Chrysler wedge V8.
I would buy it without a single thought. Homer Simpson has made men driving a pink car popular.
All it needs now is an 8-Track Deck and Plymouth Badge to make it complete.
He needs to make the car where you have to put it in H
This car had a boot on it(New York). Jackhammer is how Homer got it off. A+ job getting it up close.
Could use speed holes, they make the car go faster

Homer's first car was a 1970 Dodge Challenger. His second car the pink car, is a 1973 Plymouth Valiant. This tells me, Homer is a Dodge car guy.
