Lullaby - The Cure (Cover) 🕷️ Mitch Q &

So here's another one that I did with the guys from The Prayer Room. Basically what we did is we took my full instrumental cover of "Lullaby" that I recorded and posted 2 months ago - added vocals and a real drum track to it, and re-recorded the bassline. The guys also remixed it and produced it differently than my original version. This cover is due to be on The Prayer Room's Cure tribute album that they are currently working on finishing up -and hopefully releasing soon!
[I am playing all of the guitars, synths, and strings in this cover. Yes, that is also me whispering creepily at the beginning.]
I hope you guys like this! I think it turned out GREAT. That's how I initially met these guys that I collaborated with... I posted in a Cure Facebook group asking for someone to sing vocals for my instrumental cover of Lullaby that I posted a few videos back, and Jory (singer/drummer of The Prayer Room) wanted to do the vocals. But he then had the great idea of using my cover as a template, adding vocals, real drums, and some remixing - and wanted to include it on his band's Cure tribute album. I was honored that they liked my original cover enough to ask me to let them use parts of it to create this new cover.

This sounds brilliant!! If there was no explanation I could easily believe this was an unreleased version by The Cure.

As my favorite band in the 80's, and having seen them live a couple times....it would have been a trip to know that some day my son would be recording Cure covers. You are so talented and have such an amazing and diverse taste in music....you clearly got that from me!
