To be honest, for me "Tree of language" is the best album of this year, the versatility in this one album amaze me, no skip at all seriously! Hope you check out their other album because there are many things which you think you might be missing out ! :D
Hello! 01:05 - Intro 03:34 - Scream 07:10 - Tension 10:05 - Red Sun 13:05 - Black Or White 15:56 - Jazz Bar 19:02 - SAHARA 21:22 - In The Frozen 23:51 - Daybreak 25:52 - Full Moon 27:29 - Outro 28:38 - Paradise (He does not react to Scream (Inst.)) Hope this helps!!
dreamcatcher has just an amazing discography it's ridiculous istg if you want another really good kpop album to react to I'd recommend walpurgis night by gfriend, it's really recent and I've been obsessed with that one lately
I mean, if you're about to dive into K-POP, don't expect anything other than extremely "conceptual albums" to be as coherent as this one. Heck, not even regular ass bands have coherent albums anymore. This is a true gem, they are unique in that aspect
One word to describe Dystopia - Complete. Speaking of anime: Dreamcatcher "No More" is their latest Japanese release. And DC will also drop Eclipse later this month, which is an ACTUAL opening theme for the King's Raid Anime. :)
This is their first full-album. My favourite song is Jazz Bar. Dreamcatcher is my favourite kpop group besides (Stray kids) you should react to them, I think you will like their songs.
5:38 that's right, Dreamcatcher's sounds are so unique in Kpop, they are not the most popular group right there but they are one of a kind for sure, anyway nice reaction and awesome work on those research
Thanks so much for your reaction! I love seeing non-kpop fans dig into a group like dreamcatcher :) My favorite songs from this album are scream and black or white! Hopefully theres more dreamcatcher reactions to come *fingers crossed* Also, I love how your appreciation for just music in general shines through in each of your reactions. The little facts placed on the bottom of the screen throughout the video are a super nice touch as well!
After years of following K-pop, this is one of the best albums in kpop history. I loved more songs from this album. Pretty fantastic and diverse selection, the last album they came out with is the complement to this one. Dreamcatcher one of the best K-pop group today, actually my #1 group.
Thanks for reacting to Dreamcatcher! They are my top female Kpop group, and yes, they are unfortunately underrated (due to the fact that rock genre isn't popular in S.Korea, but they are slowly gaining fans there, whilst they are more popular internationally). But like most comments are saying here, definitely check out their "Deja Vu" MV and listen to "Silent Night", which are both fan favorites. If you do plan on reacting to more Kpop music, I definitely suggest checking out MONSTA X. Their discography are pretty diverse as well: R&B, hip-hop, EDM, bits of pop rock, etc. And pretty much most of the members participate in song writing & producing for their albums. Can probably start off with listening to their latest album, "Fatal Love". Otherwise, all of their albums are pretty superb.
Paradise is a very personal song for SiYeon. She wrote the lyrics. It was a solo release that they included in the album. Read the English version of the lyrics and think about her journey, from Minx to Dreamcatcher. Hoping to make it, working hard, but failing. Being depressed because your dream is being crushed, almost hating music all together. Getting a second chance with Dreamcatcher, having amazing support from everyone around her (members, management, fans), achieving some success where she can finally live her dream; not being monstrously popular like BTS, but being successful enough to have been able to do two international mini-tours, and 4 years later, still working at it, each comeback being more successful than the previous one since What... This is paradise, for her. Dream on!
Their intros are always so good and sometimes I end up wishing they had a full version with lyrics. My favorite intro of their’s is the one in their Raid of Dream album. I also adore LEEZ and Ollounder’s music. Aside from Dreamcatcher members, they had a hand in every song on this album. If you like what you hear, I would like to recommend the kpop group ATEEZ because the fore-mentioned producers along with Eden and Buddy produce most of that group’s music.
Thanks for reacting to Dreamcatcher again🙏🏻Credits also goes to their producers LEEZ and OLLOUNDER. I think their songs influence came from late 90 and early 2000 western pop/alternative rock. My fav track is BLACK OR WHITE btw, I'm surprised you didn't put it on your like playlist😐 but yeah I don't blame you.. Different people different taste. You should check out their special clip of BOW, maybe you will change your mind. 😊 There's also special clips for RED SUN and SAHARA. You can watch it on your own. It would be a great idea to check up some other kpop artists too. Dive into the black hole with us😂😂😂 There's so much to listen but if you're looking for another Dreamcatcher I say good luck on that. Haha
actually there is one song missing, over the sky, which is their 2nd anniversary fan song. And full moon is their 1st annivrrsary fan aong. Both of them were only release digitally without a physical album, so they were included here 😄😄
'the tree of language' is one of the best releases of the year imo, and it also plays on its name really nicely because of the musical diversity it has :)
nice one on paradise.. "like a credit song" kinda feels that way if you listen to the whole album.. way different if you listen to it on shuffle with other songs.
Now I’m a month late to the party but I just got recommended your other dc video and I got excited When I heard you saying how unique they are (which is true! I’ve been listening to kpop since like 2012 and no one has sounded like DC) I just thought you might enjoy hearing of some other groups that are pretty unique. Whether for listening on your own time, reacting, etc. just in case you wanted to maybe hear some new cool music Infinite (their music may seem like it doesn’t push boundaries that much, but Infinite is super interesting because they’re INCREDIBLY recognizable in their voices and music. I could hear any song and know it’s infinite. And yet somehow their songs never sound too much like each other. Their dancing also helped change the landscape of dance in kpop and they’re one of the biggest reasons why synchronicity and hard dances are as big as they are. I recommend Be Mine (rated as the best kpop song by billboard in 2013), Before The Dawn, Synchronise, I Hate, Paradise, and Destiny.) IU (one of Korea’s favorite artists ever. She’s been in the industry since she was like 14 and she’s done a LOT and made a lot of super cool, interesting music. Personally my favorites are anything off the Modern Times album, Lost Child, Scary Fairytale, and Good Day.) Vixx (known as the concept kings, they really made horror concepts a THING and very few have done it like them. I’m more a fan of their earlier stuff but that’s just preference. Their music videos are amazing and I recommend checking them out if you liked DC’s visuals. Error, Voodoo Doll (if you can stomach gore), Hyde, and Eternity are all very good) After School (also known for their concepts, they were so hard working. They had a song with pole dancing (First Love), they learned a whole drum routine as an intro for another (Bang), and basically could do anything. I recommend First Love, Bang, Shampoo, Flashback, and Because Of You) B.A.P (while they’re very hip hop based in a lot of ways, they’ve also done it in their own unique way, and also branched out into a lot of other influences. They weren’t afraid to go dark and political, and had many songs talking about political corruption, mistreatment of the youth, mental health, and so much more. And they were one of the firsts to do it. I recommend Ribbon In The Sky, Skydive, Wake Me Up, Bangx2, 1004, Badman, and Goodbye.) Brown Eyed Girls (the oldest kpop girl group still in the game without losing a member. They’re always pushing boundaries, with all their music, being unafraid of being sexy as hell, as well as being unafraid to make political statements. They’re amazing. I recommend Kill Bill, Sixth Sense, Abracadabra (one of the most iconic kpop songs of all time), Brave New World, and Sign) T-ara (while their songs weren’t exactly boundary pushing, they were incredibly unique in their own way and most were super recognizable as being “T-ara”. They were also known for their concepts and their “drama music videos” which would tell full, and super interesting, stories. They had four of these (Day By Day and Sexy Love, and also Cry Cry and Lovey Dovey). They were also the original concept queens of kpop. I recommend the drama mvs and the music from those albums above all, as well as Sugar Free and Number Nine.) Honorable mentions to BtoB, Ateez, Oh My Girl, GI, BoA, Nine Muses, Crayon Pop, Orange Caramel, FT Island, Kara, MBLAQ, Nu’est, LEDApple, Day6, SunnyHill, Toxic, and Wonder Girls, among MANY others. Anyway I hope you see this list and find something that piques your interest! *edit I posted this then immediately realized I forgot Shinee. They’re also quite unique and recognizable and one of the best groups out there!!
I always hesitated to listen to them because of their rock songs which I didnt like at first, but once I really listened to them I realized their music was light years ahead of all other K-Pop groups. They dont feel super generic, their music team actually puts effort into making music.
I also first dove into kpop with Blackpink. I didn't thinks I needed anything else and it lasted a month until RUclips put Mamamoo into my random mix. I then became a moomoo for another whole month, discovering some Red Velvet and G-idle here and there. But then I fell upon Dreamcatcher. And although I'll stay a moomoo cuz I really love Mamamoo, I am and shall remain for as long as I live (whadayamean I'm exagerating ?) an Insomnia. Sheesh they just are the best Kpop group there is.
Yasss thank you for reacting to Dreamcatcher, hope you can watch the special clips of Red Sun, Black or White and Sahara.. Also maybe reaction to Dystopia : Lose Myself too and Raid of Dreams :"))
10/10 album for me super solid first full length album from them too! you should definitely try to listen every album they have released in order too to see their evolution as they mature into the industry xD
Glad you like it 🤘 looking forward for your next Dreamcatcher video. Raid of Dreams perhaps, or The End of Nightmare. If you pick the latter, the special clip for And There Was No One Left is something shouldn't be miss.
Mu favorite is ‘Jazz Bar’, and I really like ‘Red Sun’ and ‘Black and White’. If you want to experience dreamcatcher’s most heavy metal, check out ’Endless Night’. And if you want to experience dreamcatcher’s masterpiece, check out ‘Deja Vu’. I’m sure you will enjoy it 👌❤️
I like your channels 👍🏻 I like how you mentioned you like the “rock and heavy metal feel” of this dreamcatcher band. I wonder if you’d ever react to real metal in the future. That’d be dope to see your fresh reaction to such an extreme genre.
If you do more kpop reactions you NEED to listen f(x)'s Pink Tape!! It's literally considered the best kpop album, f(x) has an extremely unique sound ✨
Thanks for this reaction! It's rare to find people reacting to Dreamcatcher's btracks, which is a shame cause they have some amazing btracks out there. I would love if you could react to either one of these albums: NCT - Resonance pt 2 (which is a mixture of pt1 and new songs) or EXO - Love Shot If you need a quick introduction to either of these groups prior to listening to the album, I would suggest watching these mv's: NCT: NCT U - Make A Wish, NCT U - From Home, NCT U - 90s Love & NCT 2020 - Resonance (which is a mashup of 4 songs from their Resonance albums, and contains all members of the groups) Here's a quick explanation of NCT so you don't get too overwhelmed by the amount of members. NCT is the umbrella term which consists of smaller sub-units/groups. NCT contains 4 units - NCT 127, which has 9 members and is focused in Seoul, South Korea. NCT Dream which contains their 7 youngest members. WayV, which has 7 members and is focused on promoting in mainly China. NCT U which is their "universal" unit, every member of NCT is able to promote and have a song under the group NCT U. The members in U change depending on which song fits them the most. Currently, NCT consists of 23 members, but their concept is limitless so more members are still able to be added and more units are able to be formed in the near future. I hope that somewhat made sense 😂 If you would rather focus on units, so you can grasp the difference, I would recommend watching these: NCT 127 - Regular, Superhuman, or Kick It, NCT Dream - Boom, My First and Last, or We Go Up, WayV - Moonwalk or Turn Back Time. Now to EXO: Tempo, Love Shot, Monster, and Obsession are 4 songs I would recommend listening to prior to listening to the Love Shot album. Tempo and Love Shot are in the album, whilst the two latter ones were released either before or after. EXO consists of 9 members. If you get confused as to why only 8 and 6 can be seen in Love Shot and Obsession, it's because one of the members Lay is a Chinese member and due to various political issues, he's not currently able to promote with EXO. And in Obsession, two of the members were serving their obligatory military service. Sorry for the long post, but I hope you consider it! Thanks again for the reaction!!
Their song is most likely similar to J-Rock, I assume that is why they're not really popular in Korea. But, yeah their fandom is growing and they receive much respect from international fans so I hope they will become big soon.
One of their producers is also a producer for Ateez, so I definitely recommend them if you haven't heard them yet. They have a completely different sound from Dreamcatcher but amazing music nonetheless.
dreamcatcher is definitely up there honestly in terms of music quality they've pretty much got it all in terms of versatility. a title track i love other than scream and recommend has to be 'piri' or 'deja vu'! another k-pop group i'd recommend if you're keen on delving into the quality of k-pop is red velvet! their title tracks definitely are more geared towards the public, but their albums and b-sides are really where they shine especially bc of the unique songs and their beautiful vocals (they tend to have 5-part harmonies in a lot of their songs which is pretty uncommon!). albums i'd recommend are the perfect red velvet and rbb.
You know, you will never find this sounds in another kpop artist
True. Their voices so bright than others. I feel like it🤝
Well kinda you can find it in Ace, purple kiss (soon to debut) and at least one other girl group I know of
@@SweetforS finally dreamcatcher being influence for another group...
@@taufiktaufik8574 lol yeah
That's exactly what I thought. After AS and T-ara KPOP has been so boring and then Dreamcatcher happened lol
I highly recommend you their title track ''Deja Vu'', the music video is absolutely beautiful and mini album that comes with it ''Raid of Dream''
Im with you in this ! Haha
Dystopia: tree of language is really full packed album though, but raid of dream is also something
To be honest, for me "Tree of language" is the best album of this year, the versatility in this one album amaze me, no skip at all seriously! Hope you check out their other album because there are many things which you think you might be missing out ! :D
Same! I don’t even skip the into or outro, some of the best I’ve ever heard.
Tree of language and Soul Lady by Yukika saved k-pop
It's the best kpop album with eyes wide open for me
For me, Dystopia, Taemin Never Gonna Dance Again Act 1&2, Day6 The Book Of Us: The Demon, TWICE Eyes Wide Open and BoA Better were the best of 2020
this is the power of producers LEEZ and Ollounder babyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!

Love these dc reactions, keep them up❤️❤️❤️
The best album of 2020 in my opinion
Thanks for this reaction! It's rare to find people reacting to Dreamcatcher's btracks, which is a shame cause they have some amazing btracks out there.
I would love if you could react to either one of these albums:
NCT - Resonance pt 2 (which is a mixture of pt1 and new songs)
or
EXO - Love Shot
If you need a quick introduction to either of these groups prior to listening to the album, I would suggest watching these mv's:
NCT: NCT U - Make A Wish, NCT U - From Home, NCT U - 90s Love & NCT 2020 - Resonance (which is a mashup of 4 songs from their Resonance albums, and contains all members of the groups)
Here's a quick explanation of NCT so you don't get too overwhelmed by the amount of members.
I hope that somewhat made sense 😂
If you would rather focus on units, so you can grasp the difference, I would recommend watching these:
NCT 127 - Regular, Superhuman, or Kick It, NCT Dream - Boom, My First and Last, or We Go Up, WayV - Moonwalk or Turn Back Time.
저도 좋아하는 노래만듣는데 그 스페트럼이 넓어 지고 있어요 ㅎㅎㅎㅎ
YES YES YES DREAMCATCHER
I love this album
Dreamcatcher deserves more recognition.
Their song is most likely similar to J-Rock, I assume that is why they're not really popular in Korea. But, yeah their fandom is growing and they receive much respect from international fans so I hope they will become big soon.
maan i loved your reaction so much 😭😭😭
i literally did the exact same expressions
One of their producers is also a producer for Ateez, so I definitely recommend them if you haven't heard them yet. They have a completely different sound from Dreamcatcher but amazing music nonetheless.
Hello!
Dreamcatcher has recently came back with a 2nd full album called Apocalypse: Save Us. Please react to it!
dreamcatcher is definitely up there honestly in terms of music quality they've pretty much got it all in terms of versatility. a title track i love other than scream and recommend has to be 'piri' or 'deja vu'!
another k-pop group i'd recommend if you're keen on delving into the quality of k-pop is red velvet! their title tracks definitely are more geared towards the public, but their albums and b-sides are really where they shine especially bc of the unique songs and their beautiful vocals (they tend to have 5-part harmonies in a lot of their songs which is pretty uncommon!). albums i'd recommend are the perfect red velvet and rbb.
