On the 4th of April, 2022, I did an Insta post asking people to tell me about a beautiful sight they had seen that day. I received over 3000 comments from around the world and from those comments I've chosen over a hundred to be in this very long song! I really hope you like it.

This is literally "humans being humans" and I love it, it made me tear up, especially in those dark times around the world ! What a beautiful song ! Thank you so much Tom !
I think it is interesting how every time I heard "on April 4th" it brought such meaning to me. Like at first my brain thought "what happened April 4th? Is that a holiday? Is that an anniversary of a catastrophic event?" (Even though I knew it was the day of the post). But once I stopped thinking like that I understood it was just a day. A single normal day. And if we saw 8 minutes of beautiful things then, a day so normal as to be forgotten what happened by me, then how many more ordinary beautiful things will I see March 10, August 2, Dec 15? Ordinary days full of beautiful things around the world.

The line about the picture painted in Lviv during an air-raid alarm made me tear up.. A year ago, on April 4th, I could only see the views of an unfamiliar country to which I had to leave because of the war.
This song is so simple, yet so sweet, and you can feel the warmth with each line.
Thank you Tom for such soulful and beautiful music❤ You really inspire me to live life to the fullest and notice the beautiful little things around us that make us happy🌸🌻

Our eldest daughter sent this as a dedication to her Father and I today. Our Anniversary is April 4th. I am bawling at what a beautiful reflection of humanity this is and the extraordinary heart our daughter has for thinking of us through your heart thumping song. It's 4 am, I'm on my (hostel) bed, it's raining outside, I'm listening to this song for the first time today. I love what I'm feeling right now.
Today I'm awaking from a long sleep. This is the third sign for me today, that the hope is never gone. Thank you, Tom!

"Flowers in my grandma's funeral" got me in tears
For some reason I've always found March to be a difficult month, and April a wonderful one where exciting change happens. Through March I always think "good things happen in April" and it becomes a bit of a mantra. This song made me excited for April but also reminded me to appreciate the little things in life through March.
On April 4th I doubted my life would ever see joy again. On April 4th my mom passed away, when I was only 17. I saw my beautiful mother for the last time. I squeezed her hand one last time, she couldn't reciprocate anymore. This is the sadest memory of my life to date. But so many people saw so many small and big beautiful things and this song will forever remind me of that.
And Tom, your beautiful album on grief is the best possible companion I could imagine to my saddest days and all I can say is THANK YOU for creating such heartfelt and calm music. You have accompanied me on more good as well as bad days as you can possibly imagine and I pray to one day thank you for your art in Person.

This is so sweet and innocent. Humans can be so adorable.
Finding joy in the little things already seemed like such a trope to me, I didn't know how much I needed this colorful reminder of it! So much so that I wrote my own poem on it:

the sun for the first time in days
smiling at myself in the mirror
the little leaves of money tree I put into the soil
to grow a new tree from them
the shy smile of guy at the bike shop
when he gave me back my ID that I lost
the wind moving the wooden beads
of the curtain on my balcony
this colorful wholesome youtube video
that comfy sweater I haven’t worn in forever
the blue curls of a poem on the page
that I wrote with my childhood fountain pen
the postcard my aunt sent me a year ago
when I felt depressed during quarantine
it’s been hanging on my pinboard ever since
but I noticed it again today

This has to be the loveliest most profound surprise I have ever received. So last April, Tom, one of my absolute favourite artist, asked his listeners to mention a moment we had each encountered that was beautiful and that morning I saw my dad by the kitchen unfolding a newsletter and rummaging for the latest most invigorating news he could find and for a moment there I caught a glimpse of him smiling. He was having a rough week but my goodness it must have been one heck of an article that made him crack a beam. This, I say, is why I love music. Tom, you are an angel. Thank you for making my day!

Since 1968, April 4 has been a scar and an opening of annual grief for many. I thank you for this song, Tom, and those who helped to write it. Now we can have something else to balance out the lingering pain of that day. So I thank you for that.

Since you posted on instagram you were doing this song i waited so long for it :) totally worth it, its beautiful and comforting
april 2022 i was stuck on my thesis i couldnt find anything to wrote, i found a problem to wrote back in late may, my supervisor accept it in back in june , and has been writing and reading for almost a year. now i will finish it before april. i do what i like, i wrote what i like, and i dont put expectation to live. at least i paragraph a day. its a beautiful journey cuz i met alot of people and learn alot of things. your music help me went through the dark days when i felt like shit.
