He read the game superbly and was a superb passer of the ball, only Zidane had a higher pass completion rate in Europe according to Opta stats from the time. He could control and dictate a game as former UTD players have stated. Rooney said he was the passer of a ball he played with and Fletcher said he had a fantastic first touch.
