During the eclipse event I heard some awesome station music on Gatekeeper that I don’t recall ever hearing before, which I think is both a huge plus and a good sign overall!

Suggesting that a business sell less product (fast lane) to make things better for people not buying that product... That's not how to run a successful business.

I Live in Bowling Green, less than an hour and a half away. I'm going on May 11! Hoping I can conquer my fear of Roller Coasters. It's pretty embarrassing that I'm afraid of heights and high coasters yet Cedar Point is my home park

Have fun, and start off strong like Gatekeeper. It’s not too tall, it’s super smooth, and gets you used to upside down.

@@CoasterLegendYT thanks, I’m more aless thinking about corkscrew just because it’s not too fast or tall. I know it’ll probably be rough but still. I will hopefully ride all the coasters at some point

Here’s what i would do if i were running Cedar Point one of the things i would fix is the Waterpark system there Waterpark does not look very good to be completely honest not terrible but I’ve seen better what i would have Breakers be apart of the water park i think in that way it would bring more people in rather than just locals i would also give the Waterpark something more unique to it as it just seems run of the mill.
I think with the former Dorms plot of land i would replace it with a nother hotel/ rollercoaster that may be too much hotel space but the park could have it as there marine hotel just like what they used to have and maybe the park could open a coaster similar to Fly at Phantasialand since it would give the park a coaster over the water.
But idk thats what i think i would do if i were running cedar point.

I like your video. I agree with the restraint modification suggestion. I would really enjoy riding Corkscrew if it didn't hurt my neck/sholders every time I ride it. Really pushes down on my shoulders.
The operations being slower is because they adopted a new safety program I believe. I would say that that new program should be modified or done away with. There have been no deaths at Cedar Point because of operator error or anything like that so why add a more strict and time consuming system?
As far as expansion goes. Perimeter Road by Dave & Buster's could be change to allow that parking lot to be used for a major coaster...
    Keep making content👍

cedar point with kings island operations would be insane

  • @TheCoasterSerpent

This is my home park as well, and I see some room for improvement. This is supposed to be capacity park, but the lines to these attractions get insane on a regular basis. I feel like they immediately need to plop down about 5 new flats and market them heavily to the GP for the 2025-26 seasons. Millie really needs that the lift speed increased back to its original configuration. I agree about the music throughout the park and in the stations. I feel like Kings Island well outdoes them in terms of park atmosphere.

Cedar Point is too popular for its own good that it can't satisfy everyone in the same way it used to.
Fast lane needs to sell less for more price or the same but it needs to be limited to 1 or 2 rides per attraction. No one needs to be marathoning past p multiple times.. not when ppl travel and barely get 1 ride.
Same issue at Universal studios.. but at least they have the price right (& painful) lol
Cedar point mostly however could do nicely trying to actually entertain ppl while they're in line. That's where you will likely spend most of your day. So, make it comfortable first, then interesting or entertaining second... But for now... Just concrete slabs sometimes with shade.

Hi coaster legend, if cedar point would turn the arcade building into a dark ride. The arcade would have to be relocated, as well as the park operations office take a potion of the building as well including the live entertainment office is on the second floor.

As far as operations go, I agree that they have gone downhill ever since the pandemic, especially Millennium Force. I would also make fast lane lines for all the coasters lead directly to the station. Although Cedar Point is beautiful on a peninsula, I think it was a mistake because of the nasty weather conditions it gets frequently. I also like how Top Thrill 2 will have metal detectors and a zero loose article policy. Many people, such as the general public, don’t know how to secure their articles and also hold up lines and operations.

I love all your ideas especially about flat rides, I loved Witches Wheel. I myself would like to see CP move the water park to the mainland, maybe near their sport center near the causeway entrance. After all they would still have the beach for the resort. Then remove the huge parking lot for the water park next to Gemini and the small section of cabins between the parking lot and Magnum coaster. This would free up a huge section of land for future growth. So much of CP is used for parking.

I would get B&M to make comfort collars or vests for Rougaru for a more comfortable ride, I rode it for the first time 2 years ago and the headbanging was just as bad as Mantis was.

First and foremost. Go back to working with intamin. Second get better at theming not in the sense bet everything needs a storyline. However, better landscaping and use of statues or lighting on rides. Better food options!

@@CoasterLegendYT Your idea of a darkride would work better if it were in Planet Snoopy's spot - much easier to hide the show building and Planet Snoopy is even more dull than the original Kiddy Kingdom. I'd also construct an all season haunted house in the George Beckling Erie Estate area and dedicate the path between the main midway and boardwalk to dark rides.

The park needs to stop building the same type of ride over and over again: Power Tower / Millennium Force / Wicked Twister / Top Thrill / Valravn. Junking up the skyline with scaffolding above the magic 200-foot mark into an urban mess is not the recipe of success. Magnum was special because of the personal attention that gave it charm (which has obviously since been lost, as they can't even update the restraints for basic comfort). Someday the park will realize that its success depends upon its people. Why doesn't the park harmonize with the rightful indigenous owners of the land? I am sure that they have more-than-compelling stories to tell...

You seem to forget. Coaster Thoosies are the problem.
Cease the longtime practice of unlimited free rides on major coasters, and make everyone buy a ticket for one ride.
Also, I assume you've never worked at a roller coaster. "Dispatch Times" ARE THE *PROBLEM* and it is impossible to work fast and shorten "dispatch times" while still being safe. Operating roller coasters with a fast-food service mentality in mind only increases safety risks, and no amount of IROC training can solve that.
There will continue to be arrogant guests acting as though they have a right to bring their iphones with them. And like anything else, roller coasters can wear out from overuse and working too fast, and that's mainly when accidents happen.

I'm not huge Cedar Point as some people but I had fun here in 2023 during one of the days. I think this park needs more nature in the front of the park. It's so open and lots of concrete. Yes it is very colorful and lively because of the rides but it needs more trees and nature. I also really don't understand why this park doesn't have a dark ride. With how much bad weather that area gets there's really no excuse that they don't have a dark ride. I know it's a coaster park but every park of this size needs at least one dark ride.
