SOOO thankful for this video - my daughter will be having all 3 done (ear tube removal, tonsil removal, adenoid removal) too & I am terrified. Your video gave me so much comfort and a heads up of what to expect. Can't thank you enough!
I'm so happy to hear things went so well for Natalie! She is such a trooper!! My girlfriend's son is going through the same process within the next few weeks so I told her about your channel and the videos you've posted on this topic. Thank you so much for sharing Natalie's experience with us!! Big hugs to Natalie (and you too mama!!)
Thank you so much for posting this vlog. My son is 6yrs old. We recently took him to an ENT. he suffers from ear infections all the time. He constantly has swollen lymph nodes on his neck. The ENT said his tonsils are large. He snores and has trouble breathing. The ENT suggested to have the surgery to get his tonsils, adenoids removed. Also to get the tubes. I know he is 6yrs old it just seemed like so much to do at one time. Lol it's worrying me. He will be having his surgery in June. Again thank you so much for this vlog it has helped me out with knowing what to expect.
My son is going in for a partial tonsillectomy and adenoid removal tomorrow morning, so it was nice to hear some of your experience through this. Thank you! -Jodi
My 8 year old had her tonsils out. We are on day 4 of recovery. So far so good. Better than I thought. She is doing great! Tylenol, soft foods and popcycles
When my son was 3 and had his adenoids removed, he slept a lot afterwards as well. No screaming with him. But when my other son was 2 and tubes put in, he screamed like a mad man after. I think every child reacts to anesthesia differently and age does make a difference. Getting adenoids out made such a huge difference. He was just like Natalie. He would get a sinus infection, take antibiotics, and then be right back sick a week later. That went on for months. Adenoids removal was the best thing ever.
Great to hear Natalie is doing well, so fast (but I never had any doubt that she wouldn't) ! Hope everything continues to go well & that she is back to her wonderful self, before we know it ! 💕 xx
Im so glad u posted this my daughter Saige is 2 and she has very big tonsils, we did a sleep study she quit breathing 10 times in 6 hours, she is having the same surgery minus the tubes after her 3rd birthday in August
I tell my patients "big tonsils, big pain; small tonsils, small pain." It is MUCH more painful for adults to have tonsillectomy than children. Children generally need 2 weeks to get over the pain while adults need 3 weeks, and the pain is horrible. There is also much more risk of post-tonsillectomy bleeding for adults. If you have tonsillar problems, it makes sense to have them removed sooner than later since recurrent tonsillitis will not go away until the tonsils are gone by surgery. The longer you wait just means you will suffer longer before the cure. The minimal criteria for tonsillectomy is 3 years of age or 30 pounds of body weight.
Glad everything went well and she is doing better!! But boy has time changed, I had my tonsils and adenoids out also, I was around 4 years old, they kept you in the hospital for a week, that was 41 years ago.
My 3 year olds tonsils are huge and might need surgery. I’m horrified. He had a Laryngospasm after a surgery at 18 months and afraid it might happen again
Natalie is such a trooper!! I'm still struggling with potty training my 3 y/o twins as far as number 2 goes. Any tips? They just won't tell me they need to go until it's too late.
I'm struggling with my 3 years old too it's so frustrating 😓 she always tell me she need to go after it too late & of course I tried everything I can possibly think of right now i seriously don't know what else to do
My son will be hopefully having his removed soon. Will they recommend that he has nothing to eat or drink before .. how long before the app musy he have a empty stomach???

AmbersFamilyof4 I'm really thinking and hoping the adenoids being out will make a huge difference! :) Her ENT said, "they were HUGE". lol!

Thanks for this. My daughter will be doing hers in a few weeks. The NHS in England says that the quicker they can eat normal food the faster it heels.
Glad she is doing well.
I'm so glad Natalie is doing better. Totally off topic but your hair looks amazing!
The Housewife Diaries Haha!! Thanks!! :)
Thank you for this video, I’m glad everything went well.
So happy she's doing so well! My 9 year old was on Vicodin for like a week and a half. I'm guessing my son had a very ruff time in pain for 2 weeks.

Sarah Rothfeldt Oh wow! Yes, a bit of a difference! They only keep them there a short while now! Thanks for watching!

They told me not to give my daughter ibuprofen or motrin after surgery. My daughter is getting hers done next week
Glad recovery is going well! My 3.5 year old had tonsils, adenoids, and tubes 2 days ago. She is already sick of applesauce and macaroni! Lol
mommyoftwo72049 Awww, hope she is feeling lots better now! Hang in there momma! :)
