When you are done testing with the RWC or Fluke Network Tester you must send the files to the current platform we are submitting to the clients or owners. Run the RWC data cabling tester and then send all files via Company Cam.
RWC network testers are able to spot slow cable and other communication issues. The device is able to give you the cable category, propagation delay and skew of the network. Knowing this information is vital as it helps guide the installation process. RWCs can store hundreds of test results at a time, and you are able to upload the data to Excel to share the information with clients or other employees. In this video, Bridge Cable will show you how to upload RWC certs to Company Cam.
***Please be sure to watch our “Saving RWC Certs to Computer” video before watching this one!!!
Basic guide to uploading RWC certs to computer:
    1. Open up Company Cam
    2. Click on desired project
    3. Go to documents
    4. Press “upload documents from computer”
    5. Upload the Excel file
    6. Upload the PDF file
    7. Sit back and relax. It’s that easy!
As you know, we use Company Cam at Bridge Cable on a daily basis. There are so many great features to the app that our technicians are able to take advantage of. It is worth it to take the extra time and learn how to use all of these features so that each project has as much information (photos, videos, documents, notes, etc.) as possible.

It is important to test data cabling wiring when new to ensure that the installation meets industry standards, functions properly, and is reliable for data transmission. Testing the cabling helps identify any potential issues or faults that may affect network performance, such as signal loss, interference, or connectivity problems. By conducting thorough testing, you can verify the integrity of the wiring, confirm that it is correctly installed according to specifications, and troubleshoot any issues before they impact network operations.
Testing data cabling wiring also helps validate compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. It ensures that the cabling infrastructure is capable of supporting current and future network needs, such as high-speed data transfer, voice communication, and multimedia applications. By proactively testing the cabling during the installation phase, you can prevent costly downtime, minimize disruptions, and optimize network performance for efficient operations.
The best way for a company to test fiber network cabling is to use specialized fiber optic testing equipment designed for this purpose. Fiber optic testing equipment can help verify the quality and performance of the cabling, identify any potential issues or faults, and ensure that the network meets industry standards for data transmission.
One common method of testing fiber network cabling is using an optical time-domain reflectometer (OTDR) to measure the loss and reflectance of the fiber optic cable. This tool can provide detailed information about the length of the cable, the location of any breaks or bends, and the overall quality of the connection.
Another important test for fiber network cabling is the insertion loss test, which measures the amount of signal loss that occurs when light is transmitted through the fiber optic cable. This test can help identify any issues with connectors, splices, or bends in the cabling that may be affecting performance.
It is recommended for companies to work with experienced technicians or contractors who are trained in fiber optic testing to ensure accurate and reliable results. Regular testing and maintenance of fiber network cabling can help prevent downtime, optimize performance, and ensure the reliability of the network for the company's operations.
