Trailmakers is about building very awesome vehicles and machines, but you don’t need an engineering degree to get started. The intuitive builder will get you going in no time. Everything you build is made from physical building blocks. Each block has unique features like shape, weight and functionality. They can be broken off, refitted and used to build something new. Individually the blocks are fairly simple, but combined the possibilities are endless.
Expedition Mode is the challenging campaign mode of Trailmakers. You are competing in an off-world rally expedition with only a few building blocks to get you started. You must build, tinker with and rebuild your machine to progress. Journey through a big world, overcome deep gorges, angry wildlife and dangerous weather to progress and find new parts that will juice up your machine. The world in Expedition Mode will test your survival skills and ingenuity.
Sandbox Mode is where you want to head for an unrestricted, sandbox, vehicle-building experience. Here you can build anything you can dream of, and play around with it in the world of Trailmakers. It is a great place to test out crazy machines, and experiment with the physics engine. With tons of different blocks, hinges, thrusters and interactive vehicle parts - the skybox is the limit.
Trailmakers is even more fun if you play it with other people. Build cool vehicles and compete in mini-game modes with your friends or other Trailmakers online. Build a helicopter, send it to your friend, and shoot them out of the sky. Put two seats on a tank, and let your friend control the turret. As we get further in Early Access development Expedition Mode will also be adapted to multiplayer.

Since scrapman didn’t use dragon engines there was no smoke trail. If he was a little smaller and painted white he could have had a huge advantage like appearing basically out of nowhere

Here’s a fun idea: play hide and seek with submarines in the dark depths of an ocean map. Maybe only use one light for the seeker to make it more cinematic.
And no hud so this can work best.
Maybe there would be a range they hide in because the whole ocean map or even a large section of it may be too big

That manuver that Yzuei pulled off at 11:04 is just insane, it felt like something out of a movie.

these guys gotta play ace combat
recommended strat for nimble opponents, stall and let them pass then shoot. (most props have a reverse use that to decelerate quick, then accelerate to regain control and to solidify your lock)
This was one of the coolest trailmakers video's so far, the feel from first person was just epic

Second time suggesting this dogfighting idea: Star Wars inspired builds. Also love how Scrapman almost always goes for redundancy. FYI guys, the term for twin-prop planes is turboprops.
not exactly. A turboprop is a turbine engine that drives an aircraft propeller. The term for twin-prop planes is just twin-prop plane, or aircraft.

I see 2 P-38s and a YF-23/F-14 hybrid. Cool planes irl and theirs in-game are cool too. And didn't know the C-82A was thing before this, but good to learn.

Scrapman got the melee kill bc of the 2 shields he placed at the rear, which prevented him from losing his tail when yzuei collided with him
Yzuei basically has post-stall maneuvers or angle-of-attack limiters when he unsweeps his wings

Glass is much to heavy and brittle, it would never work.

Transparent paint only really works on blocks,most pieces and engines don't
would bea bit harder for the enemies to see though, so visual stealth

Yuzei basically built an f22! That’s so cool and agile! I’ve seen similar maneuvers in videos concerning the f22 but being able to capture that feel so accurately, just amazing

Wow that nose authority of Yzuei's F22/Super-Tomcat mashup was something. Really awesome build!
Scrap man should do a supersonic dog fight. Where the guns can only fire when going past supersonic speed.
Tip: If you need to turn to hit a target, letting go of throttle can usually help since you will stay closer to where you were but still be able to maneuver since your thrust won’t be moving you wherever you’re turning
yzuei had an awesome jett the thrust vectoring let him do insane movements!
Idea for a challenge. Each build a fight vehicle (could be plane, battle car, tank etc.), then number each person's creation from 1, up to how many are participating. Then randomly assign one of the numbers to a player. That way you dont know who is getting what vehicle for battle. You could get your own, giving you the advantage of knowing how it functions properly. Or someone else could get yours, giving you the advantage of knowing where the strengths and weaknesses are. Might make for an interesting dynamic in both the building and the gameplay.
Idea for the next potential dogfights, bring kan, moonbo, kosmo and of course yzuei and some others.
Also i have some neat names for them and you scrapman:
1. Yzuei, the cowardly smartass trailmaker
2. Scrapman, the versatile/passionate/ trailmaker with a strong will
3. Kan, a slightly logical, and a comedic passionate trailmaker
4. Kosmo, a unique and passionate trailmaker
5. Moonbo, also a unique and passionate trailmaker, but with slight luck
This was probably the best collab video you, Yzuei, and JB have done together in my opinion! What are the people's thoughts on another one of these with a plane redesign or an evolution concept?
First person destruction derby would probably be insane
Your plane and JB's really makes me think of the P 38 World War 2 plane... looks really menacing
JB was more of a F-82 instead of a lightning
I feel like it would be a great idea to make a dogfight with all of the planes having articulating thrust because it opens up so much more maneuvers to perform
Yzuie's thrust vectoring really showing why its so dangerous in real life whiping the nose around asserting it's dominance in a dog fight, if the others planes weren't so much chonkier they would have been in a lot more trouble
I like this idea in theory, and it was probably pretty fun to be playing, but I feel like a lot of excitement in being able to see the bits flying off the plane and watching your reactions to the deteriorating craft was lost to the viewer here. Probably wouldn't watch future first person battles for that reason. Regardless, thank you for the content.
Ya it is fun seeing the damage, a few ppl my self included like the 1st person, I think it would be great to mitch match the 1st and 3ed person vids would be great for the viewers, for the party's who like one or the other
Scrapmans aircraft looks like the P-38 lighting but with another tail piece
Yzuei’s Looks like a YF-23 Widow maker
JB’s looks like a F-82 Twin Mustang but with a middle cockpit

You guys should do another dog fight but where the building restrictions favor really fast maneuverable planes like Yzuei's, maybe require thrust vectoring, set a weight limit maybe, set a minimum speed limit maybe. I feel like this would be really cool to watch. Maybe even make it first person again this was cool to watch.
What about first person tanks? Maybe seat in the turret or two players per tank?
What I wouldn't give to be in one of these videos. The first person dogfighting is just so cinematic! Hope to see more of this!
The fact yzuei made a f-22 which has the ability of the f-35 (thrust vectoring) and the f-14 (swept wings) is cool
I think the f22 also has the ability to thrust vector since it is an air superiority fighter.

Yzuei drifting in midair to kill scrapman is like trying to catch the fast kid in kindergarten, you cant (destroy scrapman that easily) Still very cool.

1st person space battles. Also, yaw is your best friend in 1st person. Doesn't seem like it's all that important but it can make a sharp turn tighter.
2 things: one is that i was wondering if you would ever want to try a challenge about it...😅 And 2:Yzuei did create a plane before that is capable to do a technique that would be usefull for quick turn around😂 tho it is dangerous in many ways as one of them is being that it needs to be capable to quickly go fast after doing the technique and 2 would be the strength of the jets when you doing so that you won't have any issue (the technique that Yzuei have seen in a movie and it did prove that you can do the technique in the game)
Now this is how you should do it. Just like how real pilots get at it.
Guys don’t forget that a P-38 looked like this similar design too. 10 out of 10 for the throwback
So JB built a twin mustang, scrapping made a P 38 lightning, and usually just made a Mitsubishi zero(The actual build was more in kin to the super tomcat)

When my friends and I did something similar, I made a smaller and more manoeuvrable plane that they couldn’t keep behind me. We weren’t allowed thrusters to help the propellers

I swear the only reason scrapman stays in the game whenever they use planes is all the redundancy connections, he just cant be shot down
Oh, I just had an idea. Helicopter dogfight or chase a target where one of you is the pilot and flies and the other operates the weapon(s)-like a real AH-64 Apache or Mi-24 Hind. Teams would use each weapon twice with the pilot and gunner switching for the second round, or each player could build a helicopter of their own and fly it in their round with the team mate not flying that round being the gunner in the nose.

I think that you guys should add a rule on whom ever loses too much, is allowed to mod their plane to make it more fair. So there’s better competition amongst you three.

Idea!
Aircraft carrier battle: 2V2 or 3V3
Everyone builds a vehicle, 1carrier and 1-2planes per team, the goal is to destroy the enemy carrier, the planes can respawn infinitely and have to take off from the carrier. The planes should have guns/rockets to fight enemy planes, but can only use torpedoes and guns against the carriers,(rockets and bombs would be too easy) so the carrier also has to dodge the torpedoes while letting the planes take off.
I hope you like my idea!
P.S. ideally with scrapman. I think there would only be time for 1maybe 2 rounds in a video, but there would be so much action!
I saw this from another comment deep down. He suggested to turn off HUD for a more immersive experience, which i thought would be scarier, funnier and have more chaos.😂
Although the only problem is not being able to find them in that vast sky, which was the point...😢😅
Video suggestion, first person bombing runs: 2 player teams build a bomber and one player is in charge of piloting and the other player is the bomber. The winning team would be the ones who did the most damage to three or four targets.

Building off of the first person idea, scrapman and yuzei’s stunt builds like landing a plane in a truck bed in first person
You guys should do a 2v2, one team has planes that need to get an altitude sensor under water to refuel using yuzei's system from another vid and the other team has to use subs that glide.
Would be interesting to see a first person dogfight where the weapons don’t lock on… they only shoot like the real thing: straight ahead. You both had a P-38 concept going, like the “Glacier Girl” which I saw when she was still flying-you should look up her history about where she was from 1942 to 1992 and how she got her name!
Would also be interesting to see you dig into the history of the Dornier Do 335 “Arrow” (if you haven’t already in another video I just have not yet come across) and try to replicate it.

As an avid Trailmakers dogfighter, I ALWAYS use first person. I find it much easier to use than the other camera angles.
maybe for the next one, vtol fighting, cause it would be interesting when ur doing some dogfighting and then someone pretty much switches to vtol creating like a full midair brake to get behind you
