let's say you lost your drill and it gets disconnected how can you find it? it does not make any sense that you have to push the trigger to get connected
I have gdx 210c. Can I lock the tool. That only I can use it, when tool is connected to my phone only, to prevent others from using it? Like virtual fencing, to work only when is 5m from my phone. I have many people working on my construction site, and I do not want others to use it. And where on app is this function to locate/ track down my tool.
Thank you man for the video. So, it means that with one module several tools can be configured if I install it in others? In my case, being a DIY I'm not interested in management but more of configuring my tools .
Hey-stay safe, but most of all “Stay Sane” I’m so glad you mentioned the specifics of how to recycle a 3v coin battery. Most of us contractors have buckets of nickel mi-Hyde and ni-cad batteries burning a hole in our plastic buckets in the corner. I’ll make sure to drop my 3 gram CR-2032 battery in the 50 lb bucket of batteries, that will be recycled before they ruin my bucket. On the positive side, after buying 6 screw guns, yesterday, I was wondering why they had Bluetooth. I thought I might be able to drive screws when off the job site. Hey, it’s Bluetooth, anything is possible, right? So, I’ve been schooled, thank you. As you said, the features are great for light and function control; not so much for time management or location control. Sure if it was stolen, and nearby, I might send the other big guys over to get it. But when you buy a battery and get the tool for free; I’m thinking they are making more money on the pacific rim/chinese assembly line/ ocean battery disposal sites than off the German made tool. And they are the best tools, I have every brand. I’ve burned out an extremely low number of these Bosch tools, but gone through zillions of batteries. But, I have made one, A/C powered transformer to run my favorite, old, Bosch tools. I just need to make it dummy proof, and stick a Cal- Prop-65 sticker on it, and I’ll make millions. I literally run 5,000 watts solar and have a low wind speed turbine for power. And I have 110 volt tools that work fine, cord attached, that are 30 years old. And I have dozens of “no battery “ power tools, that are 10 years old, but the batteries are $40-$90. I may not be smart, but that’s a lot for a tool you may use a couple times a year, for 30 years, and replace a battery, every 2-5 years. Just FYI, Cal-Prop-65, is also called the stupidity law. Technically, it’s called the clean water act, because who doesn’t want “Clean Water”, Right. But when it says to not bathe with either your toaster or blow dryer, while they are running, or tell you that a knife is sharp, and to wear safety glasses and iron mittens while cutting cheese, ergo the stupidity law. It is in every grocery store, posted at the door, “This location has chemicals that may cause cancer”. Exactly what does that mean, every California item has this sticker on it. In fact every screw gun , charger and battery I just purchased, has that sticker on it. Heard of the boy who cried,”Wolf”. Really, what’s the point. Other than billions of dollars of stickers that mean absolutely nothing; except, you may get cancer from something you may buy, cut yourself with a sharp knife, or die from the batteries in the corner of your shop because they are “Toxic Waste”, and you need a special permit, and a CA-Prop-65 sticker on it, just to safely dispose of it. I have a shipment ready for a pacific rim country; it’s cheaper. Go figure. At least they’ll dispose of it properly, maybe. I hope you stay out there, and keep posting for guys like me that don’t know why my screw gun has Bluetooth, and for 3 bucks, I’d put a battery in it, for $20- and 6 screw guns, I’ll just buy another. FYI, you get an 18volt battery that may last 5 years and a charger for $129-; buy it on sale, usually February or March, they throw in a sawzall, screw gun, portable band saw, rotary tool for $0.00-$20.00. I’m kinda thinkin’ they are making the money on the highly, environmentally aware Chinese... what do you think. Stay sane, thanks for Your-Tube. J. R. PS, I’ll probably get canceled for saying what is; just another day. Oh, well Peace Out

Can it control the max RPM of throttle?
May I know what’s the difference between GCY 42 and GCY 30-4? Thanks.
Bit late to respond but for what its worth the GCY module 30-4 was superseded by GCY 42. I believe that GCY 42 is Bluetooth 4.2 and the other 3.0.

Great video loving the content
Thanks Shadman, much appreciated!
Great video
Thanks for your time in explaining what's it for. But I think it's basically pointless...
