This one holds a special place in my heart & memory. As a kid i grew up on horror films (mostly these old british classics) and on kung fu films. I remember watching this for the first time, i couldnt wait to see it again, and again. It still holds my attention to this day and ill watch it again this spooky season!
I saw this classic when it was released on one proper big screen before they fucked cinemas up [Regal Hammersmith, King Street, London, England] way back in the mid 70s, 74 or 75, I am not too sure of the exact year [I'm in my 60s now so my memory is a bit fuzzy]. I actually went to see it four times in as many weeks as I enjoyed it so much. Great to know that it's not been forgotten.
God I wish they did more work with the Shaw Brothers, this one came out a perfect blend of cheesy kung fu and really good Hammer effects; best of both worlds!
You'd think that a film like this would be fun, but the execution makes it come off not as inspired, but as a desperate cash grab. If you want a great vampire film from Hammer that steers away from their traditional vampire formula, watch Captain Kronos: Vampire Hunter.

I had no idea this movie existed. Looks pretty entertaining AND it's got, Peter Cushing!

Mmmmm, tasty...
They showed this on Ch4 late one school night in early 1991. I recorded it and watched the next day after school lol
1973/1974 was officially the LAST good years and tale end for hammer horror films and this classic movie is one of them...great movie.

at 0.52, that dead dude has got headphones on, _just_ starting to jig...
This is a great movie.
Hammer and Shaw were a good team if only more movies had been made at the time.
I haven't seen this movie in years, but i still seriously want to make out with whoever came up with this concept. PUCKER UP!
I was kung-fu fighting... vampires last night.
Seems like a Grady Hendrix book and I love it.
Great flick.
We discussed "Legend Of The 7 Golden Vampires" on last week's episode during our "Bad Movie Club" segment.
I've got the original quad poster for this movie. 🤓
Nice… and you show off! 😉🥰
That’s a really great poster. Posters were so exciting back then, nowadays they’re just dull.
The voice over guy sounds like he's worked on Bruce Forsyth's The Price is Right lol.. I've never seen this Movie.. looks entertaining enough.
Sounds like Patrick Allen, the "Barrett homes" guy.

Of course they're not traditional Chinese vampires, otherwise all they could do is hop around.

What? This is literally the best Hammer film of the 70s?
Neither are great films, but both are very entertaining nevertheless.
