The happiness when you manage to land the combo for the first time
That happiness quickly turns to cockiness when you start felling them by the dozen hahaha
@@shivamshukla7369yeah I did that for a while now I’m replaying it to actually get good
I can assure you that this game is the most epic of all the games I've ever played on PC
@@shivamshukla7369 I might steal that idea :P
Sometimes it’s hard to land it because ennemy perfect block your attack and break your combo.
The fighting system is so hard to learn, but super satisfying when you got it
Idk I found it super easy, it's just timing
@@brobrofogit's just power
@@brobrofog play it in hardcore... I Just Spam evrything i have 😂
It's not hard at all once you've played all the tutorials and can do the grab and stuff.
@@Grapefruit5000 yeah Just Spam f +w and Hit easy Game
Sword users: make sure you combo them :)
Mace users: BONK
There is only basic combos for the mace 😭
@@Nayel_M90What combo would you do with a mace huh?? Swing it like a bat is the only go 😂
thats kinda how it is, mace *do* have technique, but its mostly about keeping them moving in a figure-eight pattern so you never lose the momentum or tire, and with blunt impact you can already hurt anyone. With a sword, you cannot cut through even cloth armor irl, so more complex techniques are required to bypass armor. Swords werent even considered primary weapons in history - theyre light, used for duelling, for self defense, or as a sidearm. a sword is history's pistol, and you do have to be a lot better than a dude with a rifle to win with a pistol. that's kind of what the game is reflecting.
Why combo when you can just mace to the face 😂
@@antmtony that's what I'm saying!
What I love about this game is how you actually have to learn to get better. It’s not like other games where you get a perk and now you can do some super move, like even with this you have to learn the move and then be able to apply it in combat properly.
Yes I love that too and I would have to say I love this game with a passion but when it comes to bad traits I freaking hate it some traits so negative I left most of them unlearned !
...Master strike. (I'm sorry.)
True, but I hate fighting multiple opponents, even when I am much better its frustrating
You literally get perks to use super moves wtf are you even on about. Everything in this game is based on your characters stats. Even if you know how to do something you have to block it through stats.
Yeahhh dude, I would spend entire play sessions just practicing and sparring with Cap. Bernard. Some people might hate that but for me it just brought the immersion to another level, fucking adore this game
Manged to beat the game 3 times without ever learning the combos.
That's a real Chad move
Stab stab stab overhead
Please tell me you atleast unlocked riposte
You don't really need combos once you have the master strikes down.
Agreed. Combos are a gimmick that mostly doesn't work on difficult ennemies since they'll riposte in the middle of you trying to land these blows.
Once master strike is unlocked it makes combat a bit too trivial let's be honest.
Wait for attack. Master strike followed by a hit on the least protected body part. Rinse, repeat.
Also clinch + F (with clinch master) + stabby stab to the face...
Combat in the mid to late game would be more interesting if perfect blocks and master strikes weren't a thing (for both us and the ennmies !) and you'd have rely on feints, dodges and combos to wear out your ennemy (and having to dodge then go on the offensive not to wear your whole stamina just blocking hits)
Great game but with too little ressources and many half-baked stuff unfortunately.
Finally, a video that shows clearly the combos
Ty sir
Wrath strike and scarmaker are my bread and butter but I can see some benefits to using run through when facing multiple opponents
Yeah run through can be pretty sometime but scarmaker is definitely good for quick downs. Wrath strike I don’t use too often but I could see it doin work!
scarmaker is amazing in the tourney bc nobody is wearing face protection lmao
The only problem with that is it usually super difficult to have time to run a combo when faced with multiple opponents rushing you forcing you into clinches
Mace + master strike + knockout perk = 10% chance on striking the head to knock them out. = win
Remember when performing an attack there is a white marker that shows up on the cross hair showing you the next attack angle in the sequence to properly perform the combo.
Never knew this, but this only seems useful when you’re learning the combo and don’t have to pay attention to multiple attackers. Good tip either way!
@C4poRegim3 That's tru! Very good in 1v1 duels and you're still learning combos.
Oh, so that’s what that means
@@joshuahays7410 says follow your next attack with what white market shows
I dont have a hitmarker
I can never land more than one strike without getting sucked into a defensive master strike animation. So I simply learned master strikes myself and just manipulate the enemy into hitting me so I can instantly counter. When I see their stamina is low enough and I can swing through their block. Then I finally start using combos.
Gotta counter strike and bob and weave let them miss and hit them with a combo.
How do you know if stamina of enemy is low?
@@SpeaksYourWord when you hear them grasping for air
@@ca1n353 lol I finished the game now but never noticed them do that
@@SpeaksYourWord time for hardcore?
So many cool combos, only for them to eventually become useless. The further in the game you go the less and less likely you’re able to land a full string of attacks for a combo, if you’re even able to get 1 or 2. Turtling with master strikes and clinches becomes about the only reasonable way to fight because enemies will CONSTANTLY master strike you if you attempt these later on.
Tbh they’re always useless, or at least a waste of effort. They look cool and can only be useful in 1 on 1 engagements
well, you could just not turtling and eat the master strike for better immersion
whats turtling and what are masterstrikes?
Other games, where you fight with sword:
"Keep pressing LMB until your finger falls off"
Holy shit thank you for this i didn’t understand how to do these combos
Yeah this game doesn’t really hold your hand, does it? You’re welcome!
@@C4poRegim3 it really doesn’t, thankfully there are side quests and low level bandits to practice on
@@SchizoWaffle once you unlock them you can push the keybind for "see more" to see the combo needed

@@stinky3583 i appreciate the advice but I got good at the KCD combat like a week or two after this comment
ı hope in kingdome come 2 small combo screen or hint in screen or select settings comes
Dude is so fancy, my opponents always look like bum😂
Hah! Yeah they usually don’t look like this guy that’s for sure
Lmfao same!! I get whooped by bums in the daily basis hahah 😂
My first (and so far only) combo I learned
The run thru always hilarious to see
Haha yeah it’s so good lmao
The greatest medieval combat game. Such a solid one.
💯
The way you watch yourself get better on this game is incredible when i first start out on arrival of rattay im straight to bernard leveling everything i can to a minimum of 10 just to do the tournaments and the way you watch how your movement gets more fluent and faster is just so fun to experience
I’ve never been able to figure out how to pull off the combos
You know one time fighting cumans I accidentally used run through. I specked in short swords, was using a Longsword at the time. I was so damn comfused why the cuman was taking a nap.
Haha you put his ass on the dirt. Good stuff lol
For those who say that the combo system was difficult. You only need to know the first strike's direction, the direction will be flashed for the rest.
I was too stupid in this game and what I did was simply equiped piecer with a shield and simply pointed my sword at my enemies hoping the piercing damage kills them
Hah whatever gets the job done!
hi! ¿how can i use the longsword with both hands? i equip it to use it but henry only hold it with 1 hand. Apology for bad english tho
@@ginopossi5418 you can only equip one longsword, the other swords are the ones you can equip with one hand only so to use shields
That first combo was so smooth. Great work!
Thank you very much sir I’ve had a hard time with combos
False edge my beloved. Such a simple combo that you can easily dish out in amongst some normal slashes. Definitely carried me through a few early tourneys
I'm so ready for KCD2. Of course, I'll restart 1 to refresh a bit.
You can cheese this tournament quite easily if you aren't trained with the weapons by spamming the blade lock strength check thing
Yeah I’m aware of that but it’s so cheese lol. I prefer to use the mechanics as warhorse studios intended. It’s much more satisfying for me. To each their own though. Do what’s fun for you!
the run through is awesome that’s my go to
I love the run through! It’s so effective in combat with multiple people! Take a couple down with this buys you some time! I like to use it on the most armoured enemy so I can focus on the easy targets without worrying about them taking my health down super fast!
Agreed! Good strat when in a pinch
Why this game is not popular and why did it not get Game of the Year award is beyond my understanding
Popularity is because it’s a tougher game, you start below the bottom so that’s already gonna turn away a large amount of people, and as for GOTY it has bugs and on release had massive bugs.
@@midnightmadness6344 it still has a lot of bugs, and performance can be really bad. On my high end PC and game installed on an SSD the textures are not loading properly, making characters looking like they have PS1 graphics. I hope the 2nd game will be better when it comes to performance
There's so many reasons lmao. I enjoy the game man, but come on it's got a cult following for a reason
Too many people are stuck in the casual gamer mindset where only a power fantasy appeals to them. They just wanna be "the chosen one" and know how to fight immaculately from the jump and magic their way out of everything. More seasoned, hardcore gamers prefer overcoming challenges to not experiencing them. KC:D makes you earn your skill and your victory. I think most people write it off as "unbalanced" or "unfair" without actually trying to learn or improve. But they're all plebs and filthy casuals.
@@NickC_222 🤓🤓🤓🤓 there's no neck beard emoji so this'll have to do
Scarmaker is my favorite move. Gets a lot of enemies to surrender quick when they feel that blade once or twice to the face.
Im working on getting the timing right for Run Through now - definitely will come in handy the next time I run into peasant horde ambushes.
This is deff one of the most challenging fighting mechanics I've encountered in a game, and I love it! It's an RPG, first person, supper immersive and based on skill. Can't wait for the second one.
this game went so hard, the fighting was both a challenge and very satisfying.
for duels I use run through as I get free hits for a scarmaker. for multiple enemies I just counter with master strike while moving backwards in circles depending on which enemy is out on your POV.
I will never not laugh at run through 😂😂
Imagine the humiliation if you were on the receiving end lmao
The last one is my favourite, even if I rarely do it with the longsword. The same combination is used with the other weapons for a pommel strike or a shield strike if equipped with one.
I love this game. Don’t care how many times I beat it, I still find myself playing it again and again 💯
Some of the coolest duels I've had in this game were the longest ones
I played that game a lot and won also all
tournaments, but I never learned all the combos, it was just too hard for me and I came to the point where I wasn’t having fun anymore.
I hope they make it a little bit easier in KCD2
Combat is going to feel so different with only four directions in KCD2
I love the combos. If you get to know the fighting style of npcs you know when to start.
So hyped for the 2nd game later this year!
False edge will never leave my muscle memory it's the only combo that I could pull off reliably
Knocking an enemy down in all that gear is a death sentence
Remember to start with the blunt strike or the run through, it's an excellent opportunity opener. It's because though stabs are easy to block, they're hard to master strike, or even parry. So just stab, left swing, right under swing. Now you get to commit to any combo you like.
wow such cool video, please do more and teach all the combos
Ça me servira merci
You’re welcome!
I just reinstalled this to complete all the dlc and have forgotten the combat entirely 😂
All i do is false edge repeatedly 😂😂😂THANKS CAPTAIN BERNARD
Run through is just as satisfying everytime it lands as the first. Something so funny about making them fall on their ass
😂. Fr though
the only worth combo is scarmaker especially if you have headcracker perk. i can get it off quite consistently after master strike.
Just been getting a few of these down myself
I can land two hits at max before the opponent counters it. The only time I've been able to combo is almost always accidentally.
Let’s just say the clips recorded on this short are not typical(some I landed the first time, but the majority took several times to pull off)
I was today years old when I learned that you can still actually do the combo even if they block some of the swings... I've just been spamming clinch and face stab for years!
Yeah, all fun until the npc master strickes you back
I'm gonna buy this whilst it's on sale😍✨
The part I loved from this game was when I entered the castle just to steal the lord loot, or when I entered the smithy just to steal and run away, or when I was inside all the shops just to steal, only to sell everything to the miller and then proceed to steal the money left from his chest 😂
Lock picking makes you op
Il balivo bullizzato di Uzhitz... per pochi😊
Show him who the new bailiff in town is 💯
One day I'll successfully complete one of these
I really need to practice the combos.
I have probably around 1,000 hours, but only know a single combo
Me who charges in to try and spams head attacks in hopes to knocking them out
Totally worth the 1 time out of 100 you dont get an instant riposte to the face after your first swing
So satisfying to watch. Too bad i got annoyed while your in the church and haven't gone back.
I'm surprised they never once parried you.
Run through with the head smasher perk is highly effective
That bit on the Run through is where i didn't like to use combos because i cannot go for a killing blow as soon as the enemy lies on the ground... Tried poking at them a few times but Henry just swing at empty air. Frustrating
I still cant get my combos to land like this
If you’ve made sure you got the perk(s) to perform the combo(s), then it’s just higher stats and timing between strikes that’ll make the difference!
What I did was get the mod that allows you to keep spears and now I just go around poking everyone. If the enemy does a perfect block they can’t counter cause they’re out of range.
Hit em while hes down!
Such a great game and they finally announced the sequel. Let's goooooooooo
Playing it on PS4 I had a very hard time, learning the combat system and somehow it was almost impossible to correctly use the picklocks.
I imagine this would be a lot harder on console
There is a bugged longsword and shield combo which also knocks opponents down.
Lol really? Which one?
@@C4poRegim3 I can't remember the name. You actually unlock it with the *shortsword* combo (blunt strike?)
ALWAYS COMBINE FALSE EDGE WITH SCAR MAKER IF YOU CONSTANTLY ALTERNATE BETWEEN THE TWO ON THEM IN THEM gives you much better chances of not getting master striked to death which is how I usually die in tourneys
They need to make the damn sequel.
Frfr 💯
Just started playing the game a few days ago and the combat is super rewarding. Very punishing too, though 😂
Currently on my 10th play through … still such an awesome game beautiful countryside great music cool storyline
Only bad thing is the textures popping in n out
Couldn't agree more! There’s a mod on nexus mods that helps with the textures popping!
The run through is the Best move, You can lock an enemy in an infinite combo with it 🗿
Not full power bashing to the head after that false edge is a crime bro
Beat the game twice I’m not sure if I ever was able to successfully pull off a combo
Yeah they really aren’t necessary. I hope they’re slightly easier to land or at least deal more damage in the sequel.
This is top 5 game for me since playing games from 1980's to now, the combat alone is my favourite , it's not some hack and slash dribble from a console teens can easily play. It takes planning, I love the parry/counter, loved training with the Captain from early morning until he had to retire for the night. KCD2 I hope is just as good.
I personaly use the shortsword with no shield because of the master strikes that do one shot enemies if landed with a high piercing shortsword
Only the swordsmith from rattay and the blacksmith in sassau and an acient map have it🤫
Hell of a master piece, just got a STEAL of a deal on the xbox store for like 3.99 chaps, the whole game and dlc’s. I got the basic game disc version for my ps4. So it was definitely worth it having it on my series S.
💯 🔥
After roughly 400 hoursof gameplay - i sucessfully scored maybe 5 combos :D I didnt even tryed later - it was impossible to hit in hardcore mode with mouse but distance managing and riposts works every time.
Meanwhile I can't even lockpick
This game on console is the bane of my life waiting 8 years for development to watch the game turn me grey now i hear just in time for the second one and no haven't completed the first one
The only problem I have with the combat is there is no real reward for being aggresive so after unlocking the master stroke(I can't remember if it is stroke or strike) you have no reason to attack
Mad skill
I wish when you lay your oppenent down with the run through combo you can just finish him off but you can't even hit him.
와 .. 잘한다.. 😢 부럽
Need to play this game
Cant wait to see new games fight mechanics
Scarmaker is my favorite. Bitch slap with my sword, and easy as hell to pull off
Never could figure it out
those bastard always parry me...
Scarmaker is the best combo in my opinion, super easy to land. Still can’t get off any mace or short sword combos lol
Hai tradito la fiducia di Sir Razzig
And here I was thinking that a combo only works if you hit all strokes
Hah yeah. It’s hard enough to hand them in sequence at all let alone unblocked
My only complaint is higher level enemies perfrct block so often you barely get to do combos
За любимую игру однозначно лайк и респект!!!
Happiness is when you unlock parry
Unlock parry, unlock the game
@@C4poRegim3 be the Henry who comes to see them.
