@@thezombros2607 Yea, he seriously injured his voice back in 2013 or 14 and almost had to have surgery. Plus, he's not like 26 anymore. He sounds amazing given his age (not saying he's old) and the amount of touring he's done and continues to do.
I was lucky enough to see them when they started out in 2003 on and caught them about every time they toured through Kansas City.not only has his voice lost it's rawness that gave them their edge but the songs now are bland and mediocre when being compared to leave a whisper or us and them.hell even sound of madness was.sure miss the old lineup and the songs fro that time.
nameless989 Or about Her Name Is Alice. I don't agree entirely with what you're saying but I will agree that some of it has gotten a bit mediocre but thered still plenty new ones to respect, at least for me. Cut the Cord, Black Cadillac, Through The Ghost, How Did You Love, BULLY best freakin anti-bully song ever 👊 big fav of mine is Enemies geesh Bretts powerful vocals and the context whoop there it is lol. Anyways I guess I'm done but yes old stuff the best Peace
I don't particularly like Shinedown but this is a really great song, I was watching a vidoe of them performing this song in ST.Luois and the lead singer had a Metallica shirt, that's pretty sweet. :) this guy has such an amazing voice!!!
this was just when this song was breaking on radio witch means this just when the band was starting to break so the crowd was probably waiting to see some of bigger bands crowds are always like that with new bands.
What is the crowed supposed to do for "45"? I don't get it. I wasn't at this Locobazooka (they are shit now), but they are usually reserved for harder bands. Unearth, Slipknot, One Minute Silence, Henry Rollins, Biohazard, Disturbed, Darwin's Waiting Room, are the only ones I remember. Last time I went I was about 11 or 12 in 1999, 2000 and 2001.
There alot better than they get credit for. I never took the time to really listen to them. That singers has some serious talent, I might go guy some of there stuff.
i think they are in awe of how good it is. and plus this isnt really a song to jump around to. and they might be opening for a really big band so the crowd just wants to get this over with. know what i mean
Summer of 06... they headlined for Egypt Central and Trapt, I waited for 45 then took off; maybe it was just a bad show but Trapt and Egypt Central blew then off stage
I really really need to know how to play the live intro.. before the actual song starts.. if anyone at all knows the tab to it please tell me.. and i cant tell if its bass, guitar or both.. HELP me! Shinedown RULES
demanding isn't what honest people do.. they hope... I hope I can go somewhere with my music... it's my passion... should I demand a record deal or a new guitar? no... how would you like it if rather than HOPE for money, someone demanded it from you?
@jesslove13 i disacree man, lately it seems like that's all us rockers ever do, is stand around unless it's a national band. We need to change and support these guys that aren't on the national radar but should be.
I just watched the Brat Stop "Second Chance" video. He does not hit the high notes (for example: "I'm not angry, I'm just SAYIIIINNNG . ."). He can't without the help of studio sound. Simple as that.
its not an excuse but it was cold as shit and rainy that day but yeah i agree the mood is shit. but as some one working securty that day it made my job easy
Sure he said that but to say that Shinedown is 'heavier' than a long list of heavy metal bands because of there constantly changing melodies???? huh?? what?? did i miss something here, that makes no sense. Shinedown is a good band but let's be honest with ourselves, there not that big of a deal.
The way Loco was set up that year sucked. Three stages, they were on the main stage but most people were there for Mudvayne and Sevendust. It was a real shit lineup for the most part that year.
Worst crowd ever. But then 03 was when this song and the band itself came out so nobody prolly knew them and they must be one of the side bands then. However, Brent Smith shouldn't have improvised so much. You improvise once people already like the song, not when they've never heard the song before.
well i like shinedown albums,, but really gotta say, they are not so entertainting to watch live, in my opinion, papa roach really knows how to put up a show, but this wasnt really worth the money to go see live
I wish he would still sing it like this!
RBProductions815 I know what you mean but just the same he's still as always mighty powerful in his vocals, the lyrics and the life lessons
If he sang like this every time he would lose his amazing voice
@@thezombros2607 Yea, he seriously injured his voice back in 2013 or 14 and almost had to have surgery. Plus, he's not like 26 anymore. He sounds amazing given his age (not saying he's old) and the amount of touring he's done and continues to do.
@@blakematthews6374 I agree
this song is better live than recorded
Who else kinda misses Jasin Todd?
deadnightwarrior44 but just kinda enough to give him his due
the joker killed him, he was too young
I was there at this concert! It was amazing!
ME TOO!
Did they only played 45 and Fly From The Inside? :(
Everytime i wanna listen to 45 on winamp, i change my mind and play Locobazooka version on Yt. It's the best live performance ever.
This is the greatest version I've ever heard the adlib is the best for me and emotions of the instrumentalist gives the chills too❤❤
This was in '03. Not many knew of shinedown... they were probably just there to be on DVD lol
Love his hair!! He’s a great singer too!!
Omg that’s me yawning in the first 5 seconds of the video.. fml hahahaha
You got to see Shinedown during their golden era and you were feeling sleepy? 😂
Bradley Hudson lmao it’s was a very long day
Ungrateful crowd! They are playing an awesome song and they just standing there! whats up with that? Love this song!
Even with the rain this concert was awesome one of the best concerts ive been too!!

One of the best bands ever! I FREAKING LOVE THIS SONG!!!!!
How is this not good live music?? These guys are amazing.
1:27 is eargasm...
A great, hugely under rated band
I got chills.. This is like an ancient dream come true.
I love these guys. They are so powerful.
One of my favorite songs ever.
i was at this show like 6 "rows" back lol was awesome
@Ahvicious The crowd wasn't stupid, they were just too blown away at how amazing Brent's voice is to do anything.
this song is so good. i have the acoustic version and listen to it almost everyday.
This song kills me :(
God, I love it ..
I was lucky enough to see them when they started out in 2003 on and caught them about every time they toured through Kansas City.not only has his voice lost it's rawness that gave them their edge but the songs now are bland and mediocre when being compared to leave a whisper or us and them.hell even sound of madness was.sure miss the old lineup and the songs fro that time.

i agree. they used to rock now they're pop
Imo there newer stuff is better and it's still rock there not pop
i saw them 2 times and i got to meet them...awesome guys btw
this is one of the falling few that actually sound good live
True. I wouldn't kill anybody to see them live, but you know...yeah.
wow,i love his hair long!!!!!!!!
Omg me too its so pretty
God they need to get Jasin back..
he's such a good singer, i envy him mega loads!
Incredible voice!
Brent' hair is awesome with that length
I totally agree, loved brents hair like this
This give me chills everytime 3:47
brent smith is a rock god....alll hail
I hit this festival. These guys got blown off the stage. Sevendust stole the show. Even Ill Nino blew these guys away.
funny how things change. Sevendust opened for shinedown and got blown away a couple of summers back.
wow they are great live
i LOVE Shinedown!!!! they sound really good in this video.. crows blows
wow
I love in Flames as much as I do Shinedown
i agree with you on the crowd!! this band is soo talented and awesome live! =)
great singer.
This kicks ass. I love SD now but this is amazing
I don't particularly like Shinedown but this is a really great song, I was watching a vidoe of them performing this song in ST.Luois and the lead singer had a Metallica shirt, that's pretty sweet.
:)
this guy has such an amazing voice!!!
omg i wish i was there
Sorry, the only two songs that were filmed were 45 and fly. fly is on my other videos, but trust me, if there were more, id have them on here.
The crowds not dead there just listening to the music
they were pretty crazy... early in the day..
Strung out.....and still better than most
I hate the fact that there are no backup vocals... thats one of my favorite parts of this song...
🤘
i LOVE Shinedown!!! they sound gooood in this song live... the crowd sucks tho.. they are like sticks... just there...
No one in the crowd knew the song in 2003, it had just come out. Still, epic song, I would have shat myself if I'd have been there.
they are the zeplin/pink floyd of our time. their show are the ones you want to see
u do kno these guys were new and it rained all fucking day. it was one of the first good bands all day probly
as would i if i was in the crowd. i hate crowds like this when im in them but, when i have to watch over them is great
this was just when this song was breaking on radio witch means this just when the band was starting to break so the crowd was probably waiting to see some of bigger bands crowds are always like that with new bands.
I was wondering how he did the high. It’s for this song hahah they are hard and probably something he realizes quick he should avoid them hahah.
@TheItalianStallion54 The best that I've heard from a singer,that's for sure.Zebrina
@Metalmilitia1991 they weren't dead, they were just appalled at how good they were and didn't know what to say
What is the crowed supposed to do for "45"? I don't get it. I wasn't at this Locobazooka (they are shit now), but they are usually reserved for harder bands. hehe i was at this. front row with my buddies
Dude you rule you can give a normal comment on that this is not really your thing!! omg:P i think this is sooo good love his voice love the vibe ;)
Awesome! :D
I agree.
i think they are in awe of how good it is. and plus this isnt really a song to jump around to.
and they might be opening for a really big band so the crowd just wants to get this over with.
know what i mean
watch the 'brat stop' shows they did, he hits all the notes, live.
wow the croud dosnt know what there missing, i so wish i could of been there lol. Shindown rules
Juice3jmk, Do U have the full concert of this one and if so please post it and put the setlist somewhere. . . Plz.
terrible quality audio on the video but its a great song
Summer of 06... they headlined for Egypt Central and Trapt, I waited for 45 then took off; maybe it was just a bad show but Trapt and Egypt Central blew then off stage
A cancer hospital would be more excited with this song than this crowd
I really really need to know how to play the live intro.. before the actual song starts.. if anyone at all knows the tab to it please tell me.. and i cant tell if its bass, guitar or both.. HELP me! Shinedown RULES
@bobfitzgerald14 it gave me goosebumps!
no, it don't. but if you think so, why did they get nominated to the alternative band of the year?
Man someone get a real crowd!
demanding isn't what honest people do.. they hope... I hope I can go somewhere with my music... it's my passion... should I demand a record deal or a new guitar? no... how would you like it if rather than HOPE for money, someone demanded it from you?
why are the crowd so.. silent?
screw being like him.. i want to BE him!
No he told them to just listen to it...
@jesslove13 i disacree man, lately it seems like that's all us rockers ever do, is stand around unless it's a national band. We need to change and support these guys that aren't on the national radar but should be.
well its definately guitar... but TABS FOR INTRO? (live version intro) SHINEDOWN KICKS ASS!!!! BRENT IS A GOD AT VOCALS!
@matzchase who d fuck told u d band's awful..they r 1 of d best alt metal/post grunge band out der..with incredible music..! \m/
and people still listen to justin bieber? dammit they must know where real talent is... and it's on shinedown's Brent Smith!
@schatzke11 you're damn lucky..:)
Sure he said that but to say that Shinedown is 'heavier' than a long list of heavy metal bands because of there constantly changing melodies???? huh?? what??
did i miss something here, that makes no sense.
Shinedown is a good band but let's be honest with ourselves, there not that big of a deal.
Funny you should say they are no big deal they have been named best mainstream rock band of Billboards 40 years. Getting more popular 20 years in.
Ive seen them live... this is a very good show; they are horrible live
@matzchase awful band ?? who are you ?
prolly cause they didn't know it was supposed to be awesome yet, so they were just judging it based on its musical merits, which are pretty bad.
The way Loco was set up that year sucked. Three stages, they were on the main stage but most people were there for Mudvayne and Sevendust. It was a real shit lineup for the most part that year.
jasin todd could be a caveman but when he was with the band there best guitar work was being put out
wow the crowd did suck ... but it was funny when he held out the mic to the crowd and nothing happened
Oh man the audience is really bad! Had I been there I would have gone crazy! And they are just standing there doing nothing....
Wow, that crowd was terrible lol they looked dead O.o
what is there to get excited about?, should of put beds out for ppl to sleep on
i love shinedown. i just hate how he can't hit the high notes except for in the studio...kinda disappointments me.
mikeisalright he hits the notes here
Worst crowd ever. But then 03 was when this song and the band itself came out so nobody prolly knew them and they must be one of the side bands then. ouch, this is not my cup of tea...
check out in flames
come on man how can that audience just stand there....what are they all on heroin? hahaha jk, but really wtf up with them?
shinedown is sick, but the guitarists look like cavemen
