What's crazy is I really consider Marcel to be Klaus's adopted son because he really is just like him the only difference is Marcel knows there a time and place for violence he keeps his cool and learns from Klaus's mistakes that's why u can never get rid of him and when he says he's gonna get something back he does I love Marcel.
I love how when he says “How did I fail “. He looks so vulnerable at that moment. He is scared of the answer. He is scared that he could have failed Marcel the same way that his father failed him.
I really wished that the writers were shown us more father son relationship of Klaus & Marcel they should've 🥺🥺😣 this relationship & bonding is needed to be fixed❤
Just been going through loads of deleted scenes, and I have to say as much as I love the final cuts, the deleted scenes are so much more better 💯 they show things we literally needed to see
Currently watching The Originals deleted scenes, and this scene (plus the scene where Hayley makes Klaus promise to always protect Hope) should've been in the show!
@@LeytonTLA1 yes because this is the extended version, they cut parts of this scene out in the official version that aired. That’s why the sound quality is so bad during part of it, they didn’t finish cleaning up the sound for the parts they didn’t use.
@CHARDRICJOSHPROJAS, the sub heading is incorrect or the knowledge of this person that uploaded this clip. I watched every single episode of the Originals at the time of these series. This was not a deleted clip and indeed did add substance.
It's funny how much Marcel was like Klaus but at the same time he was a better person in many ways he took the lesson he learned from him growing up but he also learned from the mistakes Klaus made in many ways Marcel is his truly his protege and successor I think that maybe Klaus was somewhat proud of him in his own way though would never admit it.
Marcel told klaus once "mercy is for the weak you taught me that" And in this scene he says "you wanted me to show mercy to my father" these two lines seem conflicting maybe that's why they delated that part
Its very nice to know marcel is the only peeson outside their family klaus ever love.. I see one moment where he was a kid kol ask him to sit with him in the french quarter for shakespeare live show where he let him watch breaking neck and feed him vamp blood and elijah come running straight away looking worried. Its amazing he is not that beast looking his upbringing🤣
Did he really believe that low of Niklaus? Perhaps demerits of Nik being unpredictable. Yet madly curious to see how next Season will revolve around this "Bond".
I watched the originals a long time ago so this might have been addressed and I don't remember, but I have a feeling the main reason Klaus didn't approve of Rebecca/Marcel was because of the fact that he raised Marcel. He saw him as a son, and even though he cared deeply about them, he couldn't bring himself to approve of his son getting with his sister. And he reacted like he always does, violently.
Thing is though is that Niklaus is the one who saved Marcellus from his abusive and neglectful parents or parental figures and took him in I do not fall Marcel And Rebekah falling for another what I do fault them for is that they pursued another before asking Nik the one that Beks favored most out of all of her siblings at the time and Marcel the one Nik took under his wing for his blessing before any such thing started first yeah.
I can see why parts of this scene were deleted tbh. It's pretty problematic telling a former slave who was a product of rape and abused by his enslaver 'father' and then murdered by him that if he takes revenge on said 'father' it makes him just as much of a villain and tyrant as him, plus the way this was filmed was sort of awkward, showing the flashback of Klaus turning Marcel and then shortening this scene was the best move creatively, it shows us that Klaus didn't want Marcel to become a vampire like him without getting sanctimonious about it. Deleted scenes are not only deleted due to time constraints, there are some scenes which are deleted for justifiable reasons.
The nonsense Marcel speech in Season 4 about how "I never became you" is just laughable at this point. He killed witches for practicing magic. He had a man carve out his own heart. He imprisoned a man for 5 years in a single room. Marcel was a monster. Just because he became strong and became stronger than Klaus doesn't make him noble.
I really wish there were more than five seasons and that they dived more into the backstory and went deeper into relationships between the characters. It would have been cool to see what actually transpired in the 20s instead of just little clips.
Why did they cut this?! It’s always “Klaus is so dangerous” “Klaus is so psycho killer” but this shows Marcel was no different “he was missing a heart.. i made my own assumptions” PAAHAH Mikael never taught Klaus to be merciful he pressed it on him that mercy was for the weak.. so the fact Klaus could still try and teach Marcel mercy just shows he’s not all bad
@@hali_55 not necessarily different. The dynamic in power was in favor of marcel being a vampire with mind controlling abilities and his bio father who was weaker and completely at his mercy like many of klaus's victims was to him but chose to sadistically kill him to satisfy his impulses mind you that he didn't compel him to free the slaves just to carve his heart out.
@@jawarafrazer8530 Its completely different. Marcels father raped his mom, shot and tortured him. Klaus almost always killed people he started beef with first or did nothing at all but be in his way. "Power dynamic" is completely irrelevant and stupid.
Only part of this scene is in the series!! They never showed Marcel killing his fathet, i know because I've watched ALL Marcel scenes repeatedly BECAUSE MARCEL IS MY FAVORITE ON THE ENTIRE SERIES!!
I'd love to see that assuming both Klaus and Marcel would have fought at 100% of their skills/power. We only saw once really pissed off Klaus when he was fighting with Marcel's minions (season 1). What a pity!
You can see in Klaus eyes how much he loves Marcel and felt truly bad to be fighting with him
He love Marcel like a son no to klaus Marcel is his son
yea he’s so good at acting it just looks so passionate
I wish the writers maybe developed their father-son relationship more.
So true
Series finale they should’ve had a formal goodbye🥺
Me too! I really wish we got more flashbacks to when Marcel was a child.
I also wish they they would have developed marcel and hope’s relationship more, and that he would visit her in legacies
@@madilynnrogers3327 Same! I want Hope to refer to Marcel as her brother so much! 😭🥺

YES! THESE TWO TOGETHER ARE JUST AMAZING!!!
I love how when he says “How did I fail “. He looks so vulnerable at that moment. He is scared of the answer. He is scared that he could have failed Marcel the same way that his father failed him.
I love the fact that klaus would teach marcel like father would even if klaus didn’t practice what he preached. He wanted marcel to be better than him
All the deleted scenes should be in the officials episodes
Wish they hadn't made Marcel's father's death a deleted scene.
Exactly!
I really wished that the writers were shown us more father son relationship of Klaus & Marcel they should've 🥺🥺😣 this relationship & bonding is needed to be fixed❤
You can see the hurt look in Klaus eyes despite everything that happened he didn't want to kill Marcel he wanted him to submit so he still be alive
That's what a true lesson a father should teach to his son not killing someone 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍that's very true.
Yh it's true
