To think that this littleman with a big fiddle started "Celtic Rock." It took so many years for its acceptance, he was the master. I vouch for this man, for I played with him at home, studio and on the road. His jokes made us happy in times of dispair.
To Shawnyboie and ApotatoWithaGun, he was from Eskasoni and performed all around eastern Canada. He was the type of person who would stop if someone was in trouble or need. The stories of generosity were great and small. Whether it was a lift to a store, or a fund raising for a sick persons benefit. He truly believed his music was a gift.
Magnificent fiddling, of course - damn shame they didn't give more of that Scottish set; Lee was certainly one of the very best of his generation at the Cape Breton style. As for the emcee - I don't know who he is, but probably a local media personality, doing his job. Lee was known for his wit and good nature, so the emcee is trying, a little clumsily, to give him set-up lines.
did lee cremo live around suagrloaf or bay st. lawrence once apon a time cuz this is where i live heard he picked dad up when his car broke down.. nice man and nice fiddler
I agree with the earlier comment that the way the announcer introduced Lee was a piss off. But Lee being the gentleman he was, rose well above it and as far as I'm concerned, he stole the show. Can someone post Lee's tune "Road to the Island Forge?"
Lee cremo was my bus driver way back in the day.. he always had funny jokes, and if there was time before school he would play the fiddle for us..
Nice stuff.
These folks had and continue to have immense respect for his talent on the fidlle, and had fun with his character and humour. Great guy...
None better!

Another Canadian gem.
It's a pity, some unfortunately didn't have the opportunity to see and hear the rock side of Lee. I did, for I played drums for him, so I should know.
