    I think you’re one of the few people who actually recommends taking it easy and doing what feels good for you, as opposed to pushing that get up and go lifestyle that so many force themselves into. I’m totally like you and the best way to reset and get healthy for me is to slow down, listen to my body, and just eat good basic meals and get plenty of rest, even if that means having a bed or couch day in front of the tv. Thanks so much for all your encouragement 💕

    I love how you emphasize on what feels good individually vs popular trends out there. I've tried those trends: getting up at 6, cold shower, vegetarianism, going to sleep at 10. At some point, it starts to feel like you're living someone else's life.

      Totally get that! When I worked a time intensive corporate job previously, I would still let myself sleep in more but then do more things at night like exercise and such because that’s what made me feel best. But the point is is that sometimes sleep is more important than all the other stuff!

    This really made me rethink my quality of living. Getting back to cooking quality healthy meals again. I began with intermittent fasting this summer still trying to get used to the changes with my eating schedule. I enjoy making sushi (Nishiki rice, no raw), Japanese pickles, healthy stir fry, no fried foods. I crochet for my therapy and walk my dog. Thank you so much for your well thought out motivating video!!! ❤

    I think something important people tend to forget when it comes to morning routine is that, the time you wake up doesn't matter much. What matters is the productivity and what you can get done before work. I wake up very early (between 4:30 and 5:00) because I know I can't do anything after work, once I'm done, I eat, take a shower, and chill before bed, because yes I wake up early so I go to bed early as well usually before 9pm. So if you feel better getting stuff done in the evening and waking up later, just do that 🤝

    What you said about the balanced meals that regulate your blood sugar is exactly what I needed to hear. I've been undereating recently, mostly because I avoid all sorts of carbs, and my health (especially my sleep) has been suffering the consequences. Your formula sounds like it could help me out a great deal. Thanks, Jillz!

I'm also a big steak lover and the most important things I cut out of my diet which improved my health immensively were processed sugars and seed oils. I also do grounding pretty much every single day, and stretch daily as I was a gymnastic too and want to maintain my flexibility! Jillz, I know you mention in most of your videos that your content focuses on women, but I have to say, I discovered you just a few days ago and so many of your videos feel lifechanging to me.
    My biggest takeaway from this video - pay attention to your body and mind and determine what works for you as an individual. Too often we get caught up in the idea of what looks like a healthy lifestyle to others. But of course, forcing yourself to do something or eat something you don't like or doesn't make you feel good, is only going to lead to failure in the long run.
    There is one thing I would add to the discussion about diet. Cruciferous vegetables were a game changer for me. One of the best food groups for boosting the immune system. I used to get colds 2 to 4 times every year. I changed my diet and went vegan but that didn't change the frequency I got sick. Adding way more cruciferous (along with lots of mushrooms), I went five years without getting sick until I had covid about 4 months ago. By the way, arugula is considered a cruciferous, so it's become my favourite salad green.

    • @JillzGuerin
      @JillzGuerin  Год назад +1

      So glad you’ve found value from my videos! And oh yeah I forgot about arugula! I just meant that I tend to eat them in smaller quantities but I almost never eat broccoli unless it’s really roasted because I just don’t like it. Thanks so much for this thoughtful comment 😊

    I love your advice about slowing down and I completely agree…But I think the problem with that is some people don’t know how to. They need to fill their schedule and be busy constantly because when it comes to slowing down they don’t know what to do with themselves in their down time. They can’t see it’s beneficial for them because they’ve been so used to being busy. It’s like they can’t stay still being with themselves. It’s not okay to always be wired
