We use dyneema loops or soft schackels on every metal to metal joint, much quieter now. They've been there rubbing back and forth for 15000nm and still look perfect.
Oh and I feel your pain. Go to all the trouble to set the kite then the wind changes. And I thought the wind gods were just against me, glad to see you're in the same boat. 😋

The pubs were only open for a short while when we were in Scotland and Belfast, but then closed again 😭 but glad to get a glimpse of it when we could. 🍻
