This trailer was great! My daughter and I are so excited to watch this together. We just started the final book. But book 2 was one of our favorites! The cast of this show is amazing and the production is top notch. I recommend the show and the books to everyone!
My excitement had waned after watching the first season (it doesn't follow the storyline perfectly), but after watching a few times I've grown to love the show too. Its almost like another story written by AP for all of us huge Wingfeather fans! A sequel, or what if scenario! I hope that everyone can really enjoy this second season (along with the first) and love it for what it is is instead of disliking it for what its not. I've been there, but I'm excited for the new story we're all gonna get to see! Watch the show, its awesome!!!
I get that. I usually prefer adaptations to match the original. But in watching one of the livestreams before the first season, I realized doing things a little differently on screen may help further a character's background or just add to the beauty of what's already been laid down. 🙂
In the books especialy the first two they end up in similar locations and situations repeatedly. The jail, and anklejelly. They have a budget and I feel they did a great job compressing the story into something that moves well for tv and still maintains the spirit of the story.
Especially since I'm a very visual person, I really like how each season seems to have a different aesthetic/vibe! Season 1 was very cottagecore, with bright greens and lots of sunlight and flowers. This season is very muddy-looking and dim, which perfectly suits both the tone and the locations!
When Janner sees Sara and they zoom in on her eyes... It gets me EVERY SINGLE TIME. In the book that part was so, so good, and it looks like the show will portray it excellently.

Ok jokes aside OMG THAT IS AMAZING I've been rereading the books recently and I realized that the kids hair grew longer actually by the time book 2 starts. Remember Nia cuts the boys hair? And in Kimera at the end of the book it says Leeli's hair was pulled into a long braid. Also by the time book three happens her hair isnt kept short anymore. A small thing I doubt will make it into the animated series but Im still wishing hahah. Would be a nice attention to detail only hardcore Featherheads would notice. Either way still. I got chills. I'm going to rewatch this now
Way better than modern day Hollywood. Sure, they still have some parts (Fionna and Cake, some Star Wars, Nimona, SpiderVerse, Invincible Fight Girl, and some others), but this show how the adaptation works in a good way.
Wow. There was some stuff in season 1 that slightly departed from the books, but this looks almost scene-for-scene from the books. Which is good because book 2 is the best one😌

Technically, we're told in The Prince of Yorsha Doon that he wrote a history of the Wingfeather War, and we know that he translated/wrote the Annierad, so it's entirely plausible.
Looks quite like how I imagined the book while reading it. Only difference is that some of these scenes take place at night or on cloudy days. For whatever reason I imagined some of these scenes taking place in broad daylight 😅
I know!! It looks so much better! In season one I thought the animation looked unfinished at times but I don’t think we’ll get any of that in season two.

I cannot get over how good the animation on this show is. The characters' expressions are very realistic! When I read the books, I can feel all that the characters are feeling, and the animation of the show reenacts that for me.

Season 1 was pretty awesome, and this looks at least as good (probably better). Can't wait to watch, we'll probably re-watch season 1 first too. My daughters would have watched this a while ago, and are 5 and 8 now.
