      It’s all about the company’s goals, who their audience is and what they want to be known for.

    This is the most informative video I have even seen so far!! 😃💯,
    - Breaking down what the client wants into key words.
    - Searching for competitors and what colors or fonts they use.
    - Getting inspiration from Pinterest
    - Adding all of the searching result images into one scene and extracting the color palette from them.
    - Having Strong Presentation showing the reasons behind creating the project the way it is.
    These all tips are really valuable for any designer and saves much time instead of doing countless revisions.
    Thank you Lauren for your effort in this amazing video. 🙏🙏

    Such a helpful video!!! Do you ever write a project description/creative brief for your client based on a phone call? My parents are former graphic designers and they used to deliver a project description and brief to describe what their work would entail along with a cost estimate. Wondering what is common nowadways

    • @4TheCreatives
      @4TheCreatives  Год назад

      Glad it helped! Yes, I do something called a proposal after that initial discovery call. It is a write-up of how I will help the client solve the problem they are looking for help with through my designs and show the budget and timeline along with samples of similar projects. So cool your parents were graphic designers too :)

    Thank you so much! It's very helpful. I have a question if you don't mind. So I've sent two moodboard directions to my client, and they gave me feedback that they like the second direction but they also mentioned they like certain elements in the first direction. Should I revise on the moodboard until the client is satisfied with the moodboard before I proceed to the next stage? (logo design etc)
    Is there a rule in the design process, or at least, could you tell me the best practice?
    Thank you again!

    • @4TheCreatives
      @4TheCreatives  Год назад +1

      At every stage it is important to delineate how many revisions you will allow the client. They should be happy with the mood board because otherwise you will go to the logo design and brand guide stage with a half correct idea of what style they have in mind. If they are being too vague, I would get on the phone with them at this stage and get exactly what they like about the last one and the second one so that you can incorporate those elements into both. Are they completely different color palettes or is there a way to integrate them?

    • @bloomelo
      @bloomelo Год назад +1

      @@4TheCreatives Thank you for your reply. It means a lot to me! Yes, it's too vague and I'm waiting for a more detailed feedback from the client at the moment. I can't contact the client directly since it's a freelance white-labelled project from an agency I'm cooperating with.
      I'm tempted to proceed directly to the next stage since when we start the project they give me a turnaround time of only 1 week (It's been 3 days since we start the contract). I'm quite inxperienced in this since it's my first working with an agency so I didn't foresee certain things.

    • @4TheCreatives
      @4TheCreatives  Год назад

      @@bloomelo It can be very difficult when you are getting feedback on a via. I have had this happen and it makes things much harder on your end with delays in answers and missed information. If you feel confident that you know the style they are looking for, then I understand you moving to the next stage, but the thing that always gets me is when I don't fully understand or clarify from the client and then create something based on what I am guessing they want, rather than what they actually want.
      Advice moving forward is to have extended timelines on projects and get the agreement of the agency to give detailed feedback allowing for a day or two in your timeline.

    • @bloomelo
      @bloomelo Год назад +1

      @@4TheCreatives Exactly! I've told the agency to ask the client for a more specific feedback. Thank you very much for your valuable advice.

    • @4TheCreatives
      @4TheCreatives  Год назад +2

      You need to think with an additional $100 of typefaces, mock-ups and imagery. Have you downloaded my pricing calculator? That helps you out. Plus at the start of a design project you should first send the contract, project brief form to fill out by them and invoice in one email.

      @@4TheCreatives could I ask about the consistent client blueprint class and the foundations class. Do students learn at their pace or do we need to be present for anything online like zoom? I work outside the home still, 8-5 m-f. thank you

    • @4TheCreatives
      @4TheCreatives  Год назад +1

      @@lisaarmstrong1599 I just answered you through Facebook messenger, but wanted to make sure you saw it here too. You have access to all course materials through an online platform to study at your own pace for both courses. The live coaching calls are not mandatory, but they are to supplement when you need help on something and want to talk to me. These are through Zoom on Thursdays at 8AM Pacific and 1PM Pacific, but possibly you could take a 15 minute lunch break if you had a question to ask me and go first in the coaching call. Plus all sessions are recorded so all in the program has access to watch them.
