    Im legally blind, and dont get to drive anymore or get to rid anymore, my last atv was a 2015 Outlander Max 1000 XT-P, it was a blast. I ended up selling itbecause the local dealer, which was a firstmost a Kubota tractor dealer that sold Can-am atv’s and side x sides aswell, i called them up one day to ask a question not to long after buying it, and they said they no longer sold them and id have to ask another dealer, which was 1 1/2-2hrs away. But i loved the Can-am, the sound, power, the look. It was a fun time in life

    My friend and I both have Scrambler XP1000 S and we both said that once you have 55" wide and 14" suspension you can't go back to a normal ATV.
    I prefer the Polaris AWD system over any other brand because of not having to lock then unlock the front gear case to climb a steep hill.
    My highly modified
    Scrambler XP1000 S has 81'' wheelbase and 60" wide with 32x10x14 Roxxzilla Competition on bead lock rims, SuperATV 600w EPS, Highlifter gear reduction, 3/16 steel skid plate welded to the frame, battery relocated to the lower frame , Kryptonite wheel bearings, oil pressure gauge and oil temperature gauge and countless other upgrades.

    So all of the things that owners wanted changed since 2017 have been fixed in one model change .
    Notchy impossible shifter,howling rear end gears are now quiet because they got away from straight cut teeth, whining rattling clutches,larger rad and fan , front locking diff is now available (1000model) .
    This compliance to customer demands is coming across like it's can ams idea ? Ha ha
    The amount of money they will be asking for these machines will be up there and the 850 doesn't come with a winch lol
    Cf moto has really put the fear into the game .
    I think it's a real insult to can ams loyal customers to have dragged those issues out for this long and all of a sudden oh we decided to do a redesign.
    Good luck selling 2024 models with the long awaited overdue redesign 2025s hitting the show room floors .
    Great review , great video
    Thanks for your time

    • @EC_ATV_Outdoors
      @EC_ATV_Outdoors 4 месяца назад +3

      I think holding back in the full locking diff is a bad decision in Can-Am.
      Especially in the v-twins lineup. You are paying through the wazzoo for these 2 models. There is no excuse to be paying that much and not getting the locker. And even more so when you pay less for a 700 that has it.

      “CF Moto has really put the fear into the game.” This is exactly right. This company is in every other manufacturers’ heads. China is no longer just producing low end products and now they play with the big boys in many markets… at a lower price. Hard times are coming for legacy brands.

    Every review I watch from these test drive sessions in BC the rider says basically exact same thing “can am made the 101hp so manageable with the throttle response but you can still feel the power”.
    Personally if I’m buying a 1000R I’m looking to scare myself every time I pin it, yes I would definitely appreciate a riding mode that makes the power manageable but not all the time. So I guess my question is when set it the highest performance mode does the 101hp come out and kick you it chest like a wild banshee or does it still come on in a tamed version. If it still feels very manageable then that’s a problem to me. Im sure you’ll be able to tune it so I guess that might be what riders like me will have to do to unleash the pure raw power of this engine.

    • @JokuJoku-yk8vg
      @JokuJoku-yk8vg 4 месяца назад

      I have 23 year xtp and it's very manageable in normal mode but when you put it in sport mode the power really kicks in

    • @muddybadgers5205
      @muddybadgers5205 4 месяца назад +1

      I was thinking the same thing. In eco mode, make it easy to ride all day. But if I put it in sport mode, I want it to be like riding a bull

    • @pavmentsurfer13
      @pavmentsurfer13 3 месяца назад

      Well, I completely disagree with you on this. And no, in sport mode it’s still “totally manageable”. I don’t know a single person who doesn’t ride in the mud that actually likes the overly abrupt engagement and throttle response of previous outlanders. This one is so nice to ride at trail speeds, even in sport mode, but when you DO want to get crazy, just grab more throttle. It’ll wheelie on command, it’s not soft, it’s just not jerky like the old ones were. Some of this is the new clutch, some is throttle tuning. But it makes for a far nicer to ride ATV that still rips harder than anything I’ve ever driven.

    • @JTwelder.
      @JTwelder. 3 месяца назад

      @@pavmentsurfer13 I don’t care about the power in the mud, the xtp isn’t a mud version anyway. Yes it would be nice to have a setting for most riding where the quads power is completely manageable and I’d probably leave it in that setting 90% of the time.
      What I’m saying is that in its highest performance mode the thing should just output the raw power without too much computer interference on the throttle control to give you the raw non buffed power like the 80hp setting on the stark varg dirt bikes. Best place to use that setting would be wide open trail, roads and fields.

    Love my 2019 Outty Max 850 and I'm sure the new ones are fantastic. Do I see A-arm suspension in the rear compared to the trailing arm? Looks like it's really soft and squats quite a bit especially in the turns which translates to loss of ground clearance? Would need heavier springs I'm thinking especially to carry more weight when all decked out.

    • @pavmentsurfer13
      @pavmentsurfer13 3 месяца назад +1

      Yes, A-arms in the rear. So it now rides like an ATV should… and handles even better. You can go ahead and put stiffer springs on it, but it’ll ruin the ride quality. IMO, this is the best riding ATV the industry has ever seen. If your loading it up with weight, obviously your going to need to bump up the preload, that wont effect overall ride quality, but just bumping up the springs to gain more ground clearance just kills the ride.

Plus my Honda dealer doesn't charge any made up fees or anything beyond the Honda set freight/pdi charge. @pavmentsurfer13 3 месяца назад +2

      So, let me get this straight… your DEALER tacked on a bunch of extra charges and fees and your mad at Can Am for it. That was the dealers choice. Not Can Ams… you should call corporate and complain. Furthermore, your argument about price is getting so tired and worn out. Yes, it’s expensive but… hear me out on this one… YOU DONT HAVE TO BUY IT. They make 500’s and 700s that are WAY cheaper and still WAY better than your Honda. I’m not going to argue Honda reliability. And if that’s ALL that matters to you, but the Honda, it’s the best choice. But if you’re looking for a great trail machine that has excellent power, ride quality and handling… you’ll look at a Can Am (among others) But this isn’t the only ATV Can Am builds. They build price point units as well. What you’re forgetting is that the model that Can Am sells the MOST of, are the high end units. Same for Polaris. They sell every one they build. So while you might think it’s too much, your thoughts on the price point stalling it… is not correct at all.

      Have you ridden one? I thought I might not like how it felt to ride either, but I was way wrong. Everyone is different so your opinion is valid… but if you haven’t ridden one yet, give it chance.

    Still has no room for bigger tires.. why do they keep screwing us by not letting you fit a 30-31” tire. New an arms in the back don’t even loop arched either? Only on xmr?

      No CFMoto holds a candle to a Can Am. Like comparing a Kia to a Porsche. Quality are miles apart.
