Kitana has been hispanic, partially latina or at least racially ambiguous. Edenia is supposed to be an exotic realm and their most iconic people resemble more the people from the middle east (Jade, Tanya, Delia, Rain, Taven, etc). Edenia itself comes from the Garden of Eden, a mythological place associated to Middle Eastern folk and culture. Kitana never looked Asian until MK11. I was not okay with the race change Mileena underwent either in the movie. Names and weapons mean nothing. Shinnok and Quan Chi have Asian names and they don't look asian at all. Even Raiden in his human form didn't look Asian, and he's got far more reasons to be portrayed as Asian than Kitana. Overall, I want consistency among the characters.
Crazy to know this is just "Concept Art" instead of the actual game graphics, seems like gaming graphics and concept art are getting closer to identical in many ways, really good.

This is fuccn amazing. Usually the earthrealm characters have more of a calmer design to them. He made each character look like a straight up warrior full of aggression and animosity with a dark twist. Good shit!!!

we must not forget about the fact that in part 11 the scorpion became forever an ordinary person, and the demonic form is just for fans of this type of scorpion wandering from part to part, but the concepts are cool,I want to see Johnny Cage in this style

Anyway, I went off the rails and ultimately I'm just BSing.
