    Too garish for me. All they did was replicate architectural details from Europe. With that kind of money they could have did something breakthrough. No pictures from the outside?

    • @SF-fb6lv
      @SF-fb6lv 10 месяцев назад

      True, they brag about how much money was spent, how much time was wasted, and how many people (who, like you said, could have been doing something productive) it took to build. AND - since it is just replicated details from existing architecture, it's not even new.

    So this is where most of the worlds gold reserves abide?
    But once again, and as I have always said, "Money is no barometer of good taste!"

    Good design does not automatically come from how much gold leaf is applied, and especially not from how much time and energy goes into creating detail, just for detail's sake.
    Nothing makes a house a home quite like a super expensive replica statue of a warrior dangling a severed head...
    This is why I like Los Angeles, California - at least they know what they are doing architecturally. I would prefer a simple Bird Streets house.
    Dubai is so embarrassingly nouveau riche...

    • @WellbredNfedKembleTV

      "Better Nouveau that not Riche at all"... was the sequin framed T-shirt meme worn by a Jewish American Princess (JAP in '80s pop culture) standing next to me at the Guerlain counter in Saks Beverly Hills. I concur. XoXo 💋

    But still no body lives here. This is not a beautiful home, but a dream home of any billionaires, who hv earn more money and spent money by his true heart. After seeing this beautiful palace, whosoever will live in this palace, will feel happy moment. When seeing this, good feeling comes in mind and heart. US $ 204 billion is too much amount whosoever spent on this palace.
    But no ody lives here. This is home insult. Somebody made too much hard work done in this home for making

      @@Armilus666 This just proves you have a poor person's taste in what an fancy house should look like. Give me clean modern lines, with minimalist decor where form follows function. You can keep this Donald tRump taste level of unsophisticated design monstrosity.

    Personally I find it absolutely hideous. A perfect example of how money doesn't buy good taste. Renaissance palaces stand for themselves in the era in which they were created - they can never be replicated and don't need to be. Clearly a huge amount of skilled artisan work is displayed here, but it's totally out of context in Dubai. A ghastly pastiche.
