Hi there! Great install. Better than a Curb Alert installation video I saw for the C6. One question: didn't you have to connect your camera to a power source? Not sure I heard you mention anything about that. Thanks in advance!
This is the camera that I bought. www.amazon.com/dp/B01C56G1P4?tag=viglink20400-20 If you look at the Front Camera View picture, it has a red connector. That's the power and ground cable. If you look at the Power Cable picture, that is the cable you plug into the red connector. If you look at the Video Cable picture, there is a red wire that is attached. You run this Video Cable to your head unit, then once you get there, you split the red wire and attach it to your head-unit's video power wire. The other end of the red wire, you cut it and attach it to the red wire of the Power Cable. Yeah I know it is sort of confusing.
Hey Geno, it's held up fairly well. Hasn't moved at all. I don't really drive my car in the rain and I live in California so I can't really comment on how it holds up to the elements. All the parts I purchased can be found here: www.corvetteforum.com/forums/c6-corvette-general-discussion/4092289-front-camera-microphone-and-gps-mounting-videos.html
@@echannelvids JFYI, thanks for answering all my questions. I was able to run the wires for the front last night despite the fact I have huge hands. Thanks again!
Dude thank you so much. I have a 13 GS and did it you way!
Just got a front camera. Was wondering where to route it,, know I know! THANKS!!

And perhaps look at this video: ruclips.net/video/igx3OCVfN7o/видео.html
Did my you have problems with the alternator causing interface?
I don’t think so. My camera and unit isn’t the best of quality so I probably wouldn’t even notice if it did.
Hello, which camera did you use specifically? How has it worked out; stayed in place?

How long does that wire need to be from the camera leading to the Kenwood stereo?
If you check a previous comment, the camera wire was 20 ft long which was more than enough. I would guess you need about half that.
Hey Eric, where did you connect the front camera power? Did you connect it near the stereo or did you branch it off way up front to something?
The wire that comes with the camera has a power line that goes all along the wire so I end up using the power from the stereo unit
For the ground though I just picked a metal screw in the engine bay
@@echannelvids So like the ACC line? Doesn't that mean the camera is always on when ACC is on?
Yeah I did the ACC so yes it is always on when stereo is on. The rear on the other hand I tapped the reverse lights
