Being a saffron farmer myself from Kashmir, I suggest either pick saffron from farms or forget you will get the actual real saffron without any changes in it.

What if it changes its color while boiling in milk. First I’ve soaked it in water - it didn’t change in color. But after that I put the same saffron threads in milk, and it changes its color from red to yellow Now I’m confused whether it’s original or not?

Saffron (anglicised), "Kesar" (in Hindi) or "Zaafraan" (in Urdu) is the flower stem spice. It's is, as said already, the most expensive spice in the world depending on the quality. Authenticity tests: 1. Water test: when you add water to the saffron, the color is produced gradually and Not Instantly. Instant dissemination of color is due to artificial water soluble dye added. 2. Stem integrity: after adding water the color of the stem remains the same. The stem remains intact and does not dissolve or disintegrate. If the stem loses its color significantly or starts to disintegrate then it's fake. 3. Smell: after adding water, pick just one or two stem and sniff it, the natural odor would remain with the stem. If the stem loses its smell, it's artificial dyes. 4. Taste: original and good quality saffron, like all natural flower stems have a slight bit of pungency to them. This distinction can be made easily with experience. Brands: Always look for the "Govt. Of J&K Agro Produce" authentication. Report any suspicious / fake products to the authorities incharge of Food Quality Control. Thanks

It is not Shaffron, it is Saffron.
You should try soaked safron rub in your fingers and see if it turns light color, that is fake safron,from Toronto.
That was fake too, the real one you rub it on paper and it will slowly paint golden on the paper and not easily turn to dust
