My best Felbat game so far didn't even get the Portrait. I was Marin, got Goblin Wallet as my first lesser trinket, Dalaran Cheese Wheel as my second, and Dalaran Cheese Wheel as my Greater Trinket again. Shop ended up having +40/+40 from the greater and +25/+25 from the lesser cheeses. Also had two Urzul, and a Felbat to round it up.
Just got a felblood, fellbat and goldenizer portrait game (with merin), +200/200 stats to the whole board on the last turn with the fiery felbloods not getting value troughout the game since ppl failed to kill them. This strat feels kind of busted.
Also to answer the 2 felbats vs golden. 2 Felbats is actually better in this situation due to the portrait. With it always being 7 minions and golden drakari, each felbat causes every demon to eat 3 times so 6 times each (because 2 felbats). With a golden instead it's only 3 each (yes it is double stats, but sometimes you do low roll stats).
@EasterBunnyMurder I'm sure there's some scenario with tribes, minions, tiers etc considered that would swing liklyhood in favour of higher or lower stats but it's mostly negligible at this point.
Its just objectively better to golden felbat, It eats 6x both ways, mirage conjurer gets extra value from golden felbat, and it gives you an extra board slot, no downsides
I commented on your last vid that I had almost the exact same comp you're crushed this lobby lmao. Best thing on my comp was I also had 2 fellbats, but one of them was golden :D
I had an insane version of this with Marin Firsttrinket sucked, bobblehead, but second one I got goldenizer. I then got fellbat as my greater trinket, and with goldenizer I ended with double golden felbat, double normal felbat and golden drakkari. I had 3 more goldenizers in hand when game ended at turn 15
Now the non-golden version triggers the battlecry of ONE of the minions to the left or right side (chosen randomly) and the golden version triggers both sides.
I'm just not enjoying trinkets at all sadly. I just feel like if you're not strong enough on turn 9, the game just runs away from you and there's no way back.
Actually there are many trinkets which offer enormous comeback potential… Today I didn’t hit, played into pirates econ and had some ralliers on the board, but I kept losing. Lesser trinket didn’t synergize so I picked the voucher, and ysharaj hero power offered me 3/1 reborn magentic… and next I rolled two automatons. I got offered a greater trinket which resummons first mech to die… (and the lesser one became a copy of it) In a single turn I completel switched builds and started assembling divine shield reborn automatons and instead of 8th place I managed to get 4th. It was lucky, but it was an awesome damage control game where I cooked up something out of nothing. All this to say, I see your point, but I do believe various comeback strategies are viable. Goldrin, pirate exodia, automatons, bomb build and various scam card, high damage dragons with golden phaerix (which is easy to discover now thx to the new five drop)….. So many builds which don’t require scaling and yet offer immidiate power.
Totally disagreed. Playing different in low MMR makes sense, since you don't need to be worried about scam or tech users. When playing duos, I can easily sell my whole board and play my 30/60000 sleepy glass and even after multiple rounds, ppl just don't play scam. You can basically do this no matter what game state you are in and only after 9k MMR ppl suddenly start playing bramble.

same except i had souvenir stand and ended up with 2 cheese wheels + recycling wraith and ended up with +100/130 approx

And sometimes you do high roll, so it evens out it’s fine

unfortunatly didint have a lot of tavern buffing, minions were about 40/30's
literally had the same game, Tess with the same trinkets and everything lost to full full scam with clown car scam on top of it lol fun times

Why the Lamp Lighter over the roar? Lighter gave +5/+5 once, Roar would've gave +6/6 that turn and every turn after
probably the cost, 1 Vs 3 gold, economy or just you want to roll and try the luck

Because the trinket says: the tavern always has 7 minions, so the shop keeps refilling until felbat stop’s triggering
