It's understandable that people don't really know how stacking works because it's unintuitive, but I totally feel you for getting frustrated, those comments were getting to me and I wasn't even the one playing lol
I agree it is understandable that people don't know what stacking is and ask questions about it. It is also understandable to be asked that question several times in a row as new people enter your chat. It is also understandable to be frustrated by it, especially if the questions are not tactfully asked. Often times, if I'm joining a stream and confused, I try directing my questions at people in chat in case they have been asked and answered.
The only things I wondered in this game is why he sold the wind fury magnetic from Jaraxxus for one gold instead of just adding it to the stack. Don't wind fury help play around the one that makes the card's stats 3/3. Forgot why it is called, and he wants wind fury for the last turn anyway.
@@arthena2130 He sold it because he would rather have the divine shield taunt. As he said, windfury didn't matter to him at that stage because it only really matters for buffing a foe reaper, which will happen at the end of the game because he wants to scale.
@@onegirltwojackets2835 Was he out of money and I just did not notice, maybe. Then it would make sense to prioritize one gold over wind fury and some stats.
Speaking of. If you magnetize 10 things on a magnetic then you pass it. And get it back. Then you magnetize it on something else. Now consider the tier 4 end of turn guy. Will it buff the new minion once or 11 times?
@@shadowfurydono 11 times. 1 for each magnet placed. If it didn't work like that there would be no use in chaining it to put massive amounts of magnets on beatboxer
I appreciate that you try to stay civil with the people pushing your buttons, it's really a poorly supported thing in modern times to teach people how to ask good questions, or at least well phrased questions, let alone practice some civil curiosity. I'm genuinely in awe of how well you keep it together when you have those situations where it seems like a lot of poor audience participation
I mean people don't understand how magnetic stacking works. Instead of explaining how it works he just says "we're stacking magnetics" and leaves it at that.
@@Jhawks4LIFE That's not the only instance I'm referring to. The slew of stuff like "Why didn't you X...?" Type stuff. He also explained several times what the idea behind stacking is. very cool explanation of why levelling is safer than spending gold on a shit shop. also was there not an angle for murk eye/battlecry magnetics - although i suppose you scale better with that you did
Murkeye BC mags setup is okay but worse than what he has. Scrap scraper is better because it puts them in hand so you can triple them to snowball the growth, and the random targeting from Murkeye means any that hit a Beatboxer directly are less efficient since it doesn't copy mags that go to itself, and any that hit the battlecry mech will eventually be sold.
Murkeye clunker comp is genuinely very slow unless you already have brann and drakari. If you think about it +1 magnetic per turn is nothing compared to stacking. That comp takes a miracle and a lot of health to pull off because you scale very slow at first
As a degenerate Mech addict this was masterfully played and beautiful to watch. I’ve never been to a Shady stream but the chat must be very different than his youtube audience. We love your work 👍🏾
@@WorldofNara magnetic stacking relies the way magnetics work where they bring all of their stats and effects with them. So if you attach say a Lullabot to a Prosthetic Hand, the Prosthetic Hand now has the effects of both itself and the Lullabot. If you then are able to triple the Hand, you can reattach it to another magnetic minion, say an Annoy-o-module. Annoy-o-module now effectively has two minions magnetized to it: the Prosthetic Hand and the Lullabot. Triple the Module and you can attach it to another minion. Now the stacking really starts getting crazy when you add a Polarizing Beat Boxer to the mix. Beatboxer's text says "Whenever you Magnetize another minion, it also Magnetizes to this." So that means when the Lullabot gets attached to the hand, it also gets attached to the Beatboxer. Then when the tripled hand+Lullabot combo gets attached to the they both get attached to the Beatboxer (which now has 2 Lullabots and a hand on it). This also brings all of their stats with. So when you triple your 100/100 stack of 10 magnetics, then attach them to another magnetic, your beatboxer gains 100/100 (or 200/200 if it is golden). Then you triple the stack again and attach to another magnetic and the beatboxer gains another 100/100. This gets out of have very quickly, especially when the stack has Accordotrons that give you extra gold. If you've attached 5 Accordotrons to the stack with beatboxer on board, the Beatboxer has 5 Accordotrons on it, but then when you triple the stack ad attach it again the Beatboxer gains 5 *more* Accordotrons. Triple again and it gains 5 more. And so on. It was even more ridiculous when spells were first introduced and you could use Fluidity to swap a non-golden magnetic to the shop then use the ooze spell to freeze it and double its stats (and then you stack a few of those for exponential scaling, buy the minion and attach it to another magnetic and your beatboxer's were sometimes gaining thousands of stats each turn. Does that explanation make sense at all?
Okay so you put 1 Magnetic mech on the board (Reasons explained later). Get a Beatboxer. Stack Magnetics on the Magnetic, Beatboxer also gets the Magnetizations as normal. Now you want to triple the Magnetic because you want to Pull the Magnetic back to your hand. After that get a new Magnetic minion and put it on board, then Magnetize the Golden Magnetic you stacked all the Magnetics on earlier onto the new Magnetic you just put on board. Now what happens is that Beatboxer Remagnetizes ALL of the Magnetics you already put on the golden Magnetic, you repeat this and the Beatboxer goes massive. Using the Tier 4 Mech scales even more because it magnetized all the already magnetized things on the golden Magnetic again.
Dunno if they changed the frequency that you get goldenizer as a trinket. But I used to get it almost every game. I've only seen it once since the update.
