The bed I grew up in had guard rails all away around the bed so there was no way even as an adult, that I could lift the mattress off and replace the sheets.
You better believe I developed some amazing ab muscles and great balance trying to figure out how to change them without breaking my neck.
I love the convenient space-saving of lofts but there's two big issues to them: the sheets are difficult to change even without full guards, and accessibility is a huge issue if you get sick. I got the flu one year as an adult while visiting my parents and I was stuck in that bed for the entire time. My dad had to lift me over his head and out of the bed to get to the restroom because I didn't have the breath to climb the ladder.

It’s comments like yours that cause youtubers to push themselves only to make big dramatic hard work videos because they think it’s what the audience wants so they never allow themselves to post videos of their passion projects... then they end up having a burnout after a couple years and wind up either leaving youtube for good or taking an extended break.
I love to watch Simone post a video of something she’s passionate about whether it’s a leaf bed or a full blown Tesla truck process video, it’s all good content and even better knowing that Simone will enjoy her time on RUclips for much longer because she’s given the space to post what she enjoys posting not what she feels pressured to post!

I moved into a very small room when I made Sergeant in the Air Force. But I was glad to finally get a place without a roommate, and the room had a cool tall vaulted ceiling. I built my own space-efficient furniture instead of using military-issue furniture. I built a loft along one side of the room. On top was my bed with storage cabinets behind it. Under it was a booth-style table and a computer desk. The opposing wall was filled with a bookcase that included two built-in dressers. The whole project turned out awesome. But I guess I made the place too nice. Whenever some VIP (such as a general or a politician or foreign military members) visited the base, they got to see my room as part of the base tour.

Then she was employed by one of the guys from Mythbusters, she dealt with having a brain tumor, Kickstarted a cool light-up calendar, turned a Tesla into a pickup truck, and currently she builds quirky things on RUclips." is simultaneously a description of Simone's channel history and a pitch for a Clarissa reunion special

My current studio apartment is tiny as it is so I have almost no extra room and certainly no space for building stuff, having one of those beds with a desk underneath it would've been a good start in hindsight but I just have a futon style bed that stays permanently unfolded into a bed
I've also always liked the idea of a canopy bed, particularly in the summer because of mosquitoes and blocking out light, maybe I can have an elevated bed and mount some kind of curtain system onto the roof. Adding a future bed project onto the list for sure

hey Simone, i am a parttime CNC operator and i've noticed that your tabs are rather thick. you can bring them down to like 3mm if you want, then you can easily pop them with a small chisel. on your average 18mm plywood projects you really don't need a lot of tabs when you're not cutting faster than usual, so maybe my tip will cut (haha) some time for you. by the way i really really love your style! the way you show what you do makes it feel so 'normal.' a feeling that i don't have with all these "diy" channels that build epic stuff in less than half an hour and be all normal about it. when you finish something that you're proud of you really show it and that's what i like about your channel and overall style. cheers from the Netherlands!
