Worse than a show trial, this process was a grotesque travesty of justice - the accused would have been better off with a summary execution - this was all about revenge and retribution.
It is important to mention that Friesler was known for this kind of show, this was simply not “staged up,” Freisler was known to do this. They recorded it because of his open hatred of the accused, as enemies of the state. He was actually told a few times before hand that yelling would not actually properly record, so we might be seeing him “toned down” because of the knowledge it was recorded,

@@marcelhoesen1001 Fouquier-Tinville war auch eine Marionette der Jakobiner, aber er tat auch mehr, als ihm gesagt wurde! Übrigens hatte dieser Kerl wie Freisler eine schreckliche Abneigung gegen Wissenschaftler, und als eines seiner Opfer vor Gericht Selbstmord beging, verlangte Fouquier-Tinville, dass seine Leiche immer noch unter der Guillotine enthauptet wird!

What we've never been told is that Hitler found out the General rounding up the conspirators was executing them on the spot, so he sent Otto Skorzeny, the man who organized Mussolini's rescue, to put a stop to it...Hitler also wanted to put the trial on hold until after the war due to the passionate climate. He felt it would be better to deal with the situation with cooler heads prevailing, but the trial went on anyways.
Hitler also placed no blame on Stauffenberg's family and had them protected from reprisals. Some "brutal dictator" lmao. People are such brainwashed sheep.
