Besides Michael Jordan, Tim Duncan might be the 2nd greatest basketball player I have ever seen!

@@qceaz11 As a spurs fan he might be right. LeBron just keeps playing at a high level despite his age. 2007 wasn't even fair. Is ginobili and parker better than lebron too? Tim duncan was an absolute beast but he didn't sustain his prime nearly as long as lebron. MJ is the Goat but lebron is 2nd in my opinion. Duncan is definitely 10 if not top 5.

@@kylemonsterdrywallfistbump5948 LeBron is my 2nd favorite player all time behind Jordan but LeBron deferred too much its a difference when you see a miss match & actually differing to a teammate if Duncan seen a miss match he would help the team exploit it but he never deferred to anyone when the going got tough he took control of the game especially in close out games so imma have to respectfully disagree

If u ask me I put him right with Jordan he has eliminated more competition/teams than anyone else in playoffs history.

Had to watch some of Duncan’s best games after Nick Wright spoke about them on his list. He was a monster.

The Spurs simply choked in 2004 and 2006, otherwise they could have won 5 straight titles

Duncan's shot was clutch but fisher countered with .4 left was not a choke in 2004. Manu's foul on dirk however in 2006 when the spurs would have won. That's on him. He took a stupid risk and it cost us game 7.

The real reason they did not repeat is after the 2003 run they lost nine members of their team, some retired and some signed bigger contract elsewhere (Capt Jack). So they have to go into semi-rebuild, this was similar to the 2011 Mavs team after they won a chip.

@@connormacleod1490 not exactly. They still went 58-24 and still had he court advantage. Yeah they trimmed some fat that they didn't need like will Perdue,, Steve smith, Gerard king, and a couple of other bench players. Jerome jersey was old and the one who did hurt us the most was Mario elie but he was replaced by derek anderson who was solid. But without duncan it shows how's how overrated pop was on the offensive side of the ball early on when he basked in tim duncan's glory. The Mavs on the other hand would have also been swept with Dirk. And in 2012 the Mavs if they had the same team would not have gotten past the thunder or the spurs. The spurs were a well oiled machine and the thunder were just too athletic. 2011 was dirks last stand. Jason terry was old, kidd retired, Shawn marion was a shell of himself as well as Tyson Chandler.

@@kylemonsterdrywallfistbump5948 im talking about 2003 roster and 2004 roster of the spurs. losing Stephen Jackson and Speedy Claxton was tough. Losing Robinson, Willis, Smith and Kerr was understandable because of their age.

@@connormacleod1490 oh my bad. They still could have won regardless. Lots of people were still thinking it was between whoever won the lakers vs spurs series would win the championship. And the .4 derek fisher shot when the spurs were about to take firm control of that series turned the tide. The T-Wolves and spurs would have been a fun matchup watch 2 top 3 pf of all time (depending on where you place garnett) both fresh off mvp's and unlike the lakers spurs or wolves don't receive special treatment from the refs.
