The most upsetting thing about this interview was the fact that she dodged the question where he asked about her voice changing... She should have simply said "Yes my voice has changed drastically due to a variety of factors, But I still give it my all, some days I cant" I guarantee you she wouldn't get all the scrutiny she does nowadays about her singing capabilities.
Exactly!!! There is another interview she did with Fuse and the interviewer asked about her voice, and she said that it was still the same as the 90’s. The media literally gave her a chance to address her voice early as social media was soaring to new heights . Then fast forward to 2014 Rockefeller incident and the media ripped her to shreds, and it went viral around the world. And then 2016 New Years Eve. I wish she’d for once just have a sit down interview and talk about her vocal damage. We love you Mariah and a lot of people understand you gave it your all to the world.💙💙💙
3:18-3:24 I totally agree with her....she has a "multifacetic voice", she's allowed to use it however she wants...some songs all are belted, some have whistles and some have the whispery voice...but the point is they're all GREAT....ppl should really learn to accept that.
Ever sinc Butterfly she stopped doing big vocal performances on every song, tommy mottola made her a vocal showpiece in the beggining so yeah she does not like belting during an entire song. Yes her voice has changed and she knows it, but she still has an incredible voice!

She sounds vastly different from 2003 interview, just 6 years apart. It seems like things got worse for her emotionally and with trust issues, and the workaholicness is an addiction for her. She also said she suffers from low blood sugar. She gives off an insecure energy here even said her glow is gone at the beginning of the interview. I think Nick Cannon was the issue. To me Caution in 2018 was one of her best glow ups.

First I will say that I LOVE Mariah...but....@ 5:14 when she starts complaining about a diva being defined as a difficult woman, hinting that it is sexist, made her look so stupid. There are words in every language that distinguish male and female by different words all together that share a common meaning. 'Diva refers to women," and there are specific words pertaining to males that mean the same thing. Its not being chauvinistic, just identifying the gender of the individual. That's like saying the word "she" is sexist. Well we are certainly not going to call women "he," simply because that would be confusing and non-specific. Same type of scenario. That was a stupid comment.
No one calls a difficult man a divo. It just doesn't happen, relating the word diva to any woman who has high standards, is demanding, and inconsiderate to others is absolutely sexist. No one has a word for what a man is when he does though things, they just say he's assertive or other positive qualities
