I think, rather than one being "better," it's just that this isn't the voice you're used to hearing with this band, so it doesn't sound "right," rather than it sounding "worse?" I don't know, after listening to both, I've concluded that they're both powerhouses with crazy talent and sound. and this song, it suits his voice so well.

Roy Mertines. Well. Christian Ericsson was a better vocalist with a better voice ! Twilight Force is not the same without him :( That is my opinion.

All TF's singers has been struggling with their songs. They are oreasonably high pitched so vocals has always been a studio product imo.

he's not struggling, no singer hits all the high notes in the whole concert, specially in power metal.
This might be an unpopular opinion, but the old singer sounded better. xD
