In other games ppl often run past everything straight to the boss. In demon's souls getting to the boss is usually harder than the boss itself. I think nowadays people expect a really flashy bossfight with no runback, so this game is the total opposite.

the differente God's Wrath animation is because you were using the Ring of Sincere Prayer during the bossfight it's a neat easter egg that made our famous Praise the Sun Gesture
Yeah. Apparently Miyazaki's bosses wanted that gesture removed from Demon's Souls, but he loved it too much, so he hid it behind a secret interaction to keep it in game "...or so the legends say. What are you prepared to believe?"

breakable walls use some kind of time based system for how long a hitbox is in contact with the breakable object: there's a (I think) Zulle the witch video where they talked about the one weird illusionary wall in Mt. Gelmir of Elden Ring. They slowed down their animation of swinging a sword and broke the "50 hit" wall in one swing. Love your work Eleum Loyce, even though I haven't played a bunch of these older fromsoft titles.
Glad to see the OG DeS, I don't mind the remake (for the most part, for example Latria as a whole was done dirty with the redesigns), but for me the original has such a cozy vibe
This is stupid. The DS remake is one of the prettiest games ever created. It’s a 1:1 recreation of the original, just with 100x better graphics. You’re either blind or clout chasing.

Demon’s Souls / Remaster looks real fun. Who knew my choice to get an Xbox 360 15 years ago would seal my fate and prevent me from playing it though. 😭 Nice video though!
Atleast in the remake, if you boost your damage w stuff like monks head wrappings, magical sharpness ring, clever rats ring, morion blade and with the insanity catalyst,, basically all offensive spells deal insane damage, and the low mp cost and the fact that you can walk around while casting it, Fire Spray becomes one of the very best spells
@@eleumloycee yeah I highly encourage it, incredibly fun, you kill every single regular enemy within 2 seconds after locking on and all the bosses except for Flameluker absolutely melt. It should be a great NG+ build too cause you can keep pumping magic all the way to 99 and you're gonna get more damage, especially with all those percentage boosts you're probably gonna notice the difference. It only requires 1 spell slot so you could do a "Demon Souls ONLY leveling Magic" video and start as Magician or Royalty, Royalty even starts with the Fragrant ring which is obv very good for just going through the levels with this spell
I wonder: Is it possible to kill Ostrava, take the mausoleum key, kick Old King Doran's ass and get his sword this early? And would it be faster than doing phalanax with your fists?
Would the hands of God be usable since I think the flame lurker is big M since it punches you to death and he's the only person mentioned to ever punch something to death.
No sarcastic joke i swear i was always under the impression a Boss Weapon was the only way to play the game well, in future games using a basic fully upgraded weapon could still kick ass, but in Demon's Souls there's some clear struggling if you don't use a Boss Weapon, Demon's Souls was my first Soulsborne and my friend even back in the day adviced me to get the Blue Blood Sword right away and ditch my Mace, maybe its just me though since now i make everything Pure Black Tendency as i play :P
Funny, I thought the exact opposite. Other than the Dragon Bone Smasher and Northern Regalia, all the unique weapons seemed to suck in comparison to the proper infusion standard weapon for your character stats. It was very disappointing. Blue Blood Sword also works.. but leveling an otherwise pointless stat seems bad to me. 😂
would be interesting to see this kind of run in dark souls 2(my favorite) as it has some really good options and with the right knowledge of pathing you can do it in very few bosses before getting to Straidd. id say dark souls 3 as well. but thatd likely be pain since in my experience almost all the boss soul weapons in that game are garbage.(like most of the regular weapons.)

It is totally possible! I considered this at first, but ultimately decided against it since Allant himself abandoned the demonbrandt

Yes, this is emulated. It runs OK even at 60 FPS, but does have some stuttering issues
