After you listen to the album and eventually get to the documentary, you'll actually see the listening party in full and the guests etc. It was pretty iconic. The other members didn't do listening parties. Yoongi gathered a few friends and they listened to D-Day but it wasn't at this level.
Yeah other members didn't do listening parties of this scale just small gathering of colleagues and friends but for Hoseok it was more for him to introduce himself to his peers as a soloist officially and let the music speak for itself than it was actually for what u would think when u hear a listening party. It was basically his business card that he "handed out" by doing this event, personally reaching out to all the soloists, dancers, djs, rappers and to make connections.

Hobi’s guestlists are mostly soloist, rappers, dancers and yeah they didn’t film them out of respect, privacy and of course the tannies, the main characters 🤣 and the venue, it’s actually at hybe only, i still remember the videos posted on twitter and people be saying “what’s is happening up there” turn out it Hobi’s listening party

a cool part about chapter two is seeing the different ways the boys promoted their albums and the shows they chose to go to. hobi doing a listening party makes so much sense, joon showing his life and going to more chill interviews, jin on running man then going to argentina for coldplay, etc.
The craziest part abt this whole thing was we never even knew it was happening until ppl saw insta stories from other k-celebs at the listening party 😂 that was one wild day on twitter
Hoseok is such a legend for doing everything for his album by himself (having credits in all the songs, recording it himself in his studio, coming up with the whole jack in the box concept, preparing for the party single handedly) not a lot of other musicians these days can relate

Idk whenever I see Hobi stress about things I think of that time he was like “I wonder if fans will come to the concert, it’s a Monday” or when he thought no one would watch him perform at Lollapalooza. He’s SO hardworking, dedicated, passionate and serious about his craft, because he doesn’t expect everyone and their momma to be at his feet. He is humble and that pushes him to keep going. Just hope he’s less hard on himself after his military service and doesn’t stress himself out too much. Man’s a king and he doesn’t even realize it. 👏🏽💜

It was a packed event but they were only showing the boys. Only Jhope did a listening party.
This is another proof how BTS members support and love each other. Hope you get to listen to Jhope's songs too. His Hopeworld mixtape and JITB album portrayed such different styles and vibe that you get to really appreciate how versatile Jhope as an artist. The Lollapalooza performance is a very good start to check out his music because you get to hear songs from both mixtape and album. Equal sign is 💜💜💜 more people should hear this song of Hobi

I think I said this on the last video too. You guys should watch the 2022 Festa Dinner when you get there in your chronological journey. They announced their break their, discussed their plans for the hiatus and talked about what their plans were initially before the pandemic hit. It would give you all a lot of insight and understanding.

yes I think they should watch the 2022 festa before going into the chronological journey of the festa videos so they will get the over view of bts's plans and stuff. I have been requesting festa 2022 for a long time too.
The reason there were so many camera's was because Hobi was also filming his documentary at the same time (its on Disney+). The party doesn't looked packed but it was, so many people/artists attended, it's probably because they want to show it on the documentary instead of showing it on here so thats why they only focus on the members on this video. Hobi even said he reached out to everyone himself. He worked so hard trying to get everything perfect as it was his first listening party he had and was hands on in getting everything sorted from what food the guests would like to what drinks.

Only hobi did a listening party. And the venue is actually the top TOP floor of HYBE. They have an open area where they can arrange it anyway they want! Also all the solo album/single release roll outs are extremely different from one another. Al of them were so them. Seven very different promo styles. It's never boring!!!!💜🥳🎉

Jin can be a social butterfly in his type of environment like the traveling show you see on Bon voyage and outside place type travel places but he doesn’t do well or comfortable at celebrity type parties and events. He does enjoy himself and act funny and silly at many Korean music award shows in the past but he’s really an introvert that likes entertaining people to make them laugh and he said he that makes him happy when he knows that he can make someone feel good.
tbh i think Jin is a master entertainer and a pure soul- he can make friends anywhere he wants as shown in a setting like law of the jungle where your true nature has no choice to come out (and jins nature is extremely friendly/kind) but in a party setting like this, he's a lot more comfortable if he knows the people he's surrounded by- the way he was raised.

The Hybe building in Seoul is massive and tall!! This is the top floor of the Hybe building, with ceiling to floor windows, where you can see out and see the city. (And where they hold their official events.)
People on the street could see the flashing lights on the top floor of the Hybe building during Hobi's Listening Party, and they recorded what they saw but didn't know what the event was until it was publicized at a later date.
Listening parties are a very western thing and this was very unusual within Korea. The celebrities invited weren't other kpop idols but were from the Korean Hip-Hop, Indie and Dance scene. It showed how respected he is in the industry with Korean with how many people turned up. He had some amazing dancers including voguers at the party which was who JK was watching intently.
8:06 That's Rapper Tiger JK and his wife Yoon Mirae not Steve Aoki😅, they're like the godfathers of Korean hip hop. I don't think the other members are doing listening parties like this because there's not a single word about it. So many Korean celebrities came to the listening party, the party became a hot topic as there were lots of videos of the night's guests. I'm very proud of Jhope , the songs, the concept of the performance, everything about JITB is a masterpiece. you should watch Jhope's performance at lollapalooza, he was born to be a performer.

So this event space is actually a room in the Hybe building. If you watch the On the Street dance challenge with Yoongi you will see they do it in that room.
8:03 No, that's not Steve Aoki 😂 That's Tiger JK and Yoon Mirae, they're respected prominent rappers in South Korea. They're also married to each other. Both of them are in a hip-hop trio called MFBTY.
Namjoon featured in one of MFBTY's tracks along with a few other rappers back in 2015, the song's called BuckuBucku.
Namjoon also featured in Tiger JK's song called "Timeless" in 2018, where Namjoon shouted out Tiger JK's past songs and how they inspired him. Tiger JK mentioned in an interview how grateful he was for Namjoon's verse, as he gave free reign on the theme 'Timeless',,and it was 2018, and BTS were sketching their name in the west/globally at the time, so Tiger JK thought namjoon would rap about that, hence he was touched by Namjoon's tribute to his past songs.
Just seen that clip again recently (might've been CCWs TROB reaction) & I always get teary eyed seeing the guys, especially Yoongi, looking for RM's entrance, then hyping him up once he got close & later on saying they would've followed him on stage if there were no dancers. Such true supporters of each other.

And yess, the BangtanBombs only film bts, so even if they appear only talking to each other or if the venue looks a bit empty is because the cameras avoid other artists. We don't know exactly who went to the party but a lot of idols and korean artists uploaded photos on their insta :)

The party was held at HYBE (bts’ label) building. A LOTT of celebs were there, but they didn’t film them because it’s a privacy and copyright thing. Those who were present there themselves uploaded lots of pictures and videos, that’s how we came to know about the party. AND the man with the long hair you mistook for Steve Aoki is actually Tiger JK, he is a very respected rapper and producer and one of RM’s god fathers in the industry, the lady beside him is his wife Yoon-Mirae, also a very respected rapper singer. They have collaborated with RM in the song BuckuBucku in 2015.
the night when these party pics hit the armytwt tl was crazy. it was on the 19th floor of hybe and we were trying to get glimpse of whats going on from the insta posts of those who attended. but twitter was down that day and we had to convert videos into gifs to share.
For some context, BTS usually doesn't get to interact extensively with the industry. Although am sure they have had some meetups behind cameras, they themselves have acknowledged how they don't have way too many celeb friends. It's because bts had to do all things alternatively to make there way up as indie artists. That's why you see the nervousness. But it's also cute and ironic since they are THE BIGGEST CELEB in that room particularly considering how a vast majority of those who were invited aren't what one would consider the 'faces of kpop'. By that I mean, most of the most prominent kpop groups and soloists beside bts. This is because the Korean Music industry is lot beyond kpop. And don't get me wrong when I say biggest celeb. These artists may not be the most popular or the face but they have a pretty solid niche of fans and are extremely artistically inclined folks. Also goes to show that no matter how much bts gets into the mainstream space their ways in music is far different from glitz and glam of kpop and is a lot more rooted in musicality and the way that navigates in the industry!
Ps. That room was absolutely packed. The thing is bts official content is very careful with who they show. Though the members social media openly posted pictures with the celebs and so did the media folks that were invited.

Each member chose their promotions. Hobi did this listening party, which absolutely fit him and his album. They all made choices that fit them and their albums. It's been interesting to see what audience they're each trying to reach and how they promote towards that audience.
Every time they said and asked if hobi rented the place I answer in my mind "Nope, they OWNED it" with a proud smile 😂 The place was on the top floor of HYBE building 😊
In the Bangtan Bomb they didn't show the guests of the listen party because it's a BTS episode and also they wanted to keep the suspense because of the Jhope documentary where they showed a little more footage of the party.
That listening party is jam packed with idols and artists from different agencies. Hobi personally invited them. I witnessed that when that was happening live and I can still remember that chaos on my timeline everytime an artist who's present at the party updates in their socials. And yes, Bangtan Bmbs focuses only on BTS, that's why the other artists are not included on the video. But, you can still see videos and photos of them interacting, dancing and singing together if you searched it up. That's one of the most memorable thing for ARMYS, seeing them just having fun with other people (because it rarely happens coz they are usually from different agencies) Thanks to Hobi 😊💜
The venue is not really rented, it's the top floor of Hybe, their building company. That's where they usually held events. You can see a more clear sight in their Busan Expo event. They used the same place.
The guy with the long hair that Namjoon was next to is Tiger JK, a legendary Korean rapper since the 90s, and the women next to them is Yoon Mirae, a great female rapper as well.
Namjoon collaborated with them in the songs "Timeless", and "BuckuBucku"
He is as all the Bangtan boys a perfectionist and such a hardworker. We love and miss Mr. Sunshine. Hey, the most amazing concert I've seen is Hobipalooza. We shoul get together and watch it!!!

I highly recommend watching Boracity Magazines video about BTS chapter 2 solo activities- she explains JHOPEs Jack In the Box promotion strategy including this listening party - everything he did was very purposeful and deliberate. Same for the other members. They held this party in the penthouse of The HYBE building - the skyscraper BTS built w their blood sweat and tears 💜

yeah Bangtan Bombs usually focus more on BTS, avoid capturing other celebs/idols and blur faces that were caught in the video due to privacy. And I think if they want their faces to be seen, they're gonna have to let them sign a waiver/form to give them permission to show their faces. (That's how we do it here, idk in South Korea hehe)
Introvert Seokjin was so relatable in that listening party😭😭 Literally the only non-oficial video/photo that he saw of Jin in the party was in someone's IG story, it was him arriving with a drink in his hand and with a 👁👄👁 face haha. It was so funny because some armys were posting on twitter things like "omg Seokjin just arrived and he has a drink on his hand oh things are going to get lit tonight" and then I remember that day Jin went to Weverse and talked with armys and he said that he was just reading webtoons in a corner and then later we found out he went home earlier lmao 😭
It's so cute to see some of the members shy at the beginning and also sticked with each other a lot of of the time especially Jungkook with the other members lol I would say that Namjoon and Jimin were definitely the most extrovert there, we saw them talking and took pics with a lot of people (and Hobi of course because he was trying to talk with every guest, making sure everyone was having fun and stuff) and Taehyung was just there living his best life while dancing a lot too haha

Yoongi, Jimin, jin, and jungkook are introverts more than the word introvert. Someone who doesn't know them, seeing their crazy sides and these shy sides, would think they have multiple personality disorders.
introverts can be similar to extroverts (social introverts), it just means their social battery runs out quicker and they dont receive energy from the same activities/environments as extroverts do

There were actually TONS of celebrities there, it was so fun being on twitter at the time because everyone was posting and talking about the party at the hybe building and we didn't really know what was going on at first. They don't usually do this so they were super nervous. in bts eps/bmbs they don't usually show people who aren't bts, they will even blur people out because they are very conscious of privacy so i think that is why it looks like it is just the tannies here, but really a lot of professional dancers, producers, actors, and other singers were there.

When they themselves are the celebs of celebrities 😂 i think that shows how humble they are and how theyre never entitled and when they walk into a room they never assume theyre the biggest people there. I think thats very rare and why BTS is BTS. Theyre always so kind and sweet, even to staff. In the JITB documentary they showed more clips from the listening party and u'll see Hobi thanking all staff, even went all the way to the back to thank the staff that was serving food. 💜

Highly recommend- it's funny and touching and very well-written and acted... There's only one season out; they plan to do a second season, but one of the main actors had to enlist in the military last year so they have to wait for him to return

Jhope's aura is so captivating. Everyone coming out to support him was so well deserved he is a beautiful artist. The fact he had his members right by his side was so wholesome and precious as always.
the venue was actually the top floor of the bighit building, an army on twitter posted a video of the building and it was all in darkness and the top floor was just crazy flashing lights😭 it’s actually so funny tho bc other artists in hybe weren’t allowed on the top floor, there’s face scanners that only unlocked for the bts members and the guests were all given special passes😭

They usually use it for any events or hybe groups shooting stuff sometimes like tiktok challenges ect i don't really know more. And BTS made hybe so they can most probably do whatever they want anywhere😂
When the clips & video's were being posted that day by ppl who attended the party, there was NO Jin in any of the clips & armys thought that he didn't went. But after coming back from the party jin then replied to an army on weverse saying that he was just reading webtoon in the corner that's why he wasn't in any clips😭😂
There were Korean independent artists and underground dancers there!!! It was probably the coolest crowd and group of creatives that's ever gathered in Korea.

there were actually a lot of people! it shows in the jack in the box documentary. a lot of dancers, other kpop idols, artists, industry people etc.
Notice how anytime you don’t see a member it’s because they’re mingling, whenever you see Jin he’s on his own, Jungkook is in nearly every shot cause he stayed with the members, it shows how introverted they are or at least how they’re only truly comfortable with the other members and it’s so endearing and sweet! But then I also love the fact that Tae, Jimin and namjoon were mingling and having fun and seeing that outside of this bangtan bomb with all the photos we got that other celebs were hanging out with them and it looked so fun! J hope killed it and thought of everything for his guests to make sure it all went perfect, i loved getting all the content on Twitter when this was going on!

Hi, i am back. Good reaction, ty. No only Jhope did a listening party for his album. That is an American thing and so never been done in South Korea. JHope created a new thing. Ppl really liked it. So maybe in the future more artists would do it. JITB is a hip hop album. Hope World was not to me. It was a mix. There were a lot of celebrities, musicians, actors, etc. It was not only friends. about not showing the other ppl, i think its a matter of like rights to the image of the other celebrities? but there are other videos of this event where you see aaall the crowd. about the dancers, hope invited a lot of ppl from the dancing scene and so they all danced a lot during the event, it was super cool to see!!

The part where JK was lookign towards the dance floor, and tryna learn a move by observing then got up to dance, we don't really see other pplother than the members (since its a bangtan episode n bangtan-focused) but i rmmber watching clips online posted by dancers, dance crew members doing street dances just grooving along to the songs at the event, and how jk joined them
