It looked like an impossible restoration but when remove the mud and also remove the rust then i restored it like this i made it shine like glass made a very cute design on it It's still usable

You could use electrolysis to remove the rust or you could try a evap o rust.

personally I'd like to see all three methods used: electrolysis, then rust remover, and finally sand blasting

the cleaver is cracked, i think you had to weld it, and the bevel is not straight,

De verdad, no creo que esa arma sean tan antigua, mínimo un año de estar enterrada entre en cemento y el lodo, se observa muy liso el metal, no está oxidada, pero hicieron una magnífica restauración. Saludos desde Venezuela.
