If you click "SHOW MORE" in the description above your be able to see Links to the Tools 🔧🔨🔧 I use. Also Clickable Chapters📋 📙 throughout the video and other Links 🎬 that may be of interest. I've had a few viewers request where they can buy the tools they see in some of my videos but it's not very clear that the "SHOW MORE" tab has a lot of information in that may be of interest. Admittedly the amazon links are associated with me and I would earn a small commission which helps towards keeping the channel funded.

This series of videos was a great help for preparing and completing my son's R50 engine swap, much better than a technical manual.
Thanks for the details and quality of the videos

Thank you so much for such a compliment. Really pleased your enjoying them. I do try hard to make them photographically as clear as possible.

I'm like you, marking everywhere even it's doesn't matter just to be sure. I also use a cardbord, with box pattern and holes for all the gearbox bolt to reuse them in correct order. Some gearbox are nightmares with several bolts sizes. This bit spanner saved you :D

Just best to play safe when your not sure isn't it Karim. If a bolt was longer or shorter it would be a nightmare to then try and find where it originally lived. One thing in my favour is I'm recording everything on video so I can go back and look over things. I panicked when I got to those E8 torx and found I had no other sockets than the one 1/2" short job.

Thank you Vespa Morelli pleased you liked it. Gives some insight to a MINI clutch if you've not seen one before (like me).

thank you very much. I am tackeling the midlands -> getrag swap soon and all bentley manual available have to be shipped from the US, which would take way too long...

Great video once again, i have a question, I changed cooling fluid on my wives mini r50 yesterday. i dont know how much came out but when refilling it would only take aprox 4L. Did all the air bleeding. Ran the engine for 20 mins and had to top up almost nothing. What I have noticed is that the coolant has turn from fluo yellow to a brownish colour. My question is does the block retain fluid and need additional draining. I removed both bottom and top hoses when draining. Thanks. Job

Thank you for the compliment. There is a drain screw above the starter motor behind the engine but its hard to reach. Here it is in my video. ruclips.net/video/5GlCTbV2i30/видео.html My cooling system was very poor and rusty coloured. Ideally you'd remove the engine thermostat and flush clean water around the whole system. Switching the heater inside to hot as well as water sits in that. I think if you look at my engine removal videos your see every part of the cooling system in detail.

The bolt holes on the flywheel only can only match up one way they are slightly off, if you put it on with your marks not lined up you will see that.
