Jimmy is a nice guy, I bet he was feeling sorry for the disabled guy but had to keep it professional and in the spirit of comedy.

@@mrjan7002 He may have an edgy sense of humour, but even he knows where to draw the line (Although some may argue differently). I was at his show in Guildford and someone tried to heckle about Robin Williams literally the day after he died, but Jimmy said that it was too soon and continued the show like it never happened. Absolute legend!

The best thing is to treat him just like everyone else. He doesn't want or need to be treated differently.
When the guy said he wanted to get laid, I thought Jimmy was going to turn to the audience and ask "Any takers?"

Very good, a top tier comedian. I can be guaranteed with Jimmy to have some mighty laughs but can't say that for many other comedians.
It would have been cool if Jimmy had said he would matched the £2500 the guy raised for the Air Ambulance!

I started watching Jimmy Carr when Sean Lock died, its like he is right around the corner still when i watch Jimmy!. Jimmy is hilarious also, its just that Sean took it a bit longer. xD

Missed the show in Skegness as i had an accident fucking pissed off as it was to short notice to sell on the tickets.On the way to recovery and will be booking next show.So looking forward to the hecklers.Look out im going to get you this time.
I always enjoy watching him exercise his wit. Incredible how fast he can react and convert the situation into instant humour. That takes skill.
But my question is, given that I've never seen the guy in person... does he actually do a comedy show, or does the entire show consist of him working off the audience?
I went to see him in Halifax a few weeks ago and he does tell jokes as well as audience participation.
Primarily his jokes and one-liners, with breaks to work with the audience. As you saw, he doesn't always get proper hecklers but when he does it is comedy gold. This audience seemed a little bland.
Saw him in Edinburgh and he asked people to text questions to him, first part was was close to the bone comedy a very intelligent man and very quick witted
He does do a show, and then has segments where he invites people to heckle so that he can work off the audience. It's been his brand for over 20 years.
Not the brightest (that won't matter). 😂😂😂😂
The lady was so nervous that she looked unable to hold a simple conversation and Carr-y on with the tragedy !

I want a tv show with Jimmy and that young man going to Amsterdam. My daughter has mild cerebral palsy and worry’s she will never get a boyfriend ( she’s 14 and can’t have a boyfriend until she’s 30 anyway) This needs to be addressed and comedy is the best way.

Out of interest, having never been to a Jimmy Carr gig, how much of the performance does he dedicate to this ‘one on one’ heckler time? I feel in clips it’s good, but does it work for a longer period?

Jimmy did a show in NYC (as I recall) and the audience fell flat on it's face, they didn't get him AT ALL, he was totally wasted on them.

Yeah most countries with legalised sex work have sex workers who specialise in seeing disabled clients. Some disability organisations even help put their clients in touch with recommended ones, although it is obviously still a bit of a sensitive topic.

Air ambulance? Why do publicly financed entities need charity work to be done for them? The govt should be ashamed.
Air ambulances are not publicly financed in England and Wales (idk about Scotland/NI). The charities that run them are quoted as saying they prefer the operational independence that being outside the NHS gives them.

So you think that, even though Jimmy himself treated the disabled guy like anyone else in the audience, he has women working for him that would cruelly screech with laughter at a disabled person? Thinker might be too great a stretch but I'm sure critical describes you to a T.
I go to many different comedy gigs, I can assure you that the range of different laughs is immense at all of them (including loud women). That includes comedians that couldn’t include ’plants’ as they wouldn’t be able to afford them.
‘Proper’ critical thinking examines the big picture far more effectively 🙄.
