My wife just got a 2019, style before this, basically same interior, not a fan of buttons for shifting, I do like the bigger screen on the gauges on this one though
First, the Denali version are too expensive for what they offer, but in lower version like SLE, you can have a pretty good SUV 3 rows for the price, like us, we order a 2022 Acadia SLE AWD 2.0T with the elevation package for 44k canadian, so around 35k in USD, but the Acadia should be compared more with the Sorento than the Telluride for the size
It's really too bad they didn't build it off a RWD chassis like the GMT355 or even the Alpha 2. A longitudinal mounted engine that starts with the V6 and offers options for a small v8 or a turbodiesel... that woud have been brilliant. Also would have allowed for the AT4 trim to be something more than an appearance package (ok, Acadia AT4 DOES have better tires and an engine skid plate but it also has less than 7" ground clearance and a max approach of maybe 16-17 degrees... which really limits its "offroad" capability to hardly more than "dirt road")
I think the telluride is a better deal and you get the natural aspirated v6 in every trim level and the Kia is cheaper with a better warranty 100k sounds like a no brainer, or the transverse is a better deal a little cheaper same drive train as the GMC so maybe go with the Chevy if you want to stay all us made.
I like it but that screen is a major zonk for me and considering the fact other GM products have bigger screen for the same price it surprises me that the Denali trim doesn’t have it

Acadia‘s main strengths is ride quality and aggressive exterior although I think the interior stacks up well against most ticky-tacky Kias and some of the more spartan Toyota models but it’s no Audi inside. That being said I love driving my 2015 Acadia and it’s not even a top trim. Great review!
I agree with you over the Transmission. Especially the buttons for the manual mode just sitting there on the right side. Maybe some paddle shifters added to the steering wheel would make things easier.
Highlander limited is $52k, while the platinum is $55k. If it's hybrid also you pay 3k over msrp. I bought an 23 highlander xle with the gas engine and interior is small and tight. Infotainment sucks, plus no memory seats which i need, and no parking sensors, no navigation. Back up camera with no moving lines just basic, you cannot reverse the car without tiliting your side mirrors down because theres so many blind spots. At this time im gonna sell it.
Sir can you make a video on ford expidition xlt 202a with all the options? I asked you cuz i really need it, mine is coming in a few days and i wanna know everything about it and your rewiews help
Everyone always judges gmc. We’ve had 2 so far and they were great care. You have to drive a car before you judge it. The gmc is the car that everyone hates until they drive it, everyone I know who’s owned a gmc before always either bought another one once the lease ended, or kept it. As for the highlander, it may be more reliable, the Acadia is much more spacious and imo better.
Even though the info screen is small it’s still better than ugly tablets thrown in on other vehicles. Some look like the tablet that Moses made on the Ten Commandments and stuck it on a vehicle.😂😂
Thoroughly enjoy your walk arounds and descriptions, but would really appreciate your honest opinion on the questions you pose in your video titles. For example, do you think this Acadia is a better SUV than a Highlander or a Telluride? Some type of scoring would be much appreciated. Thanks for considering.
I don't know these are always had transmission problems throughout the years. I definitely don't think that four-cylinder would hold up over many years being turbo and all. I would get the Highlander with the V6 I just think durability overtime is this biggest problem with this thing and it's overpriced
I think the natural competitor to this is the Durango. Acadia's interior is roomier which is great. The Durango feels way smaller inside than it looks outside, to the point that I would have a hard time considering one. It somehow feels less roomy than FCA's contemporary RWD sedans. Thing is, for more traditionally "SUV" kinds of things, the Durango blows the Acadia out of the water. It's RWD-based AWD available, starts with V6 and offers a V8, has better ground clearance, better approach and depart angles, and almost doubles towing capacity. I think a lot of this is due to that RWD vs FWD based chassis design. Acadia has a big front overhang from its architecture and the transverse mounting prevents adoption of a V8. Probably would have been a much better vehicle if it had been derived from the Colorado instead of the Malibu (and especially if they offered 2 and 3 row variants as the GMC Jimmy/Acadia and Chevy Blazer/Traverse and associated Buick and Caddillac rebrands). Of course, then probably no one would buy yukons or suburbans or the RWD based midsizes would have price tags as ridiculous as the Silverado based SUVs... The durango does carry a sticker price a olid 5-7 grand more. At the end of the day, I'll respect that the acadia is a reasonably comfortable and reasonably good looking FWD unibody SUV. But I'll never get it out of the back of my mind that means it's really just a better looking minivan.
4 cylinder engine on a vehicle of this size ?!!! and its made by GM ?!!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 .. you're out of your mind if you buy this thing !!! don't take me wrong it looks grate . I like it the exterior and interior design. but the Relibitly is questionable in the long run !! honest ..
Which mid size has the most trunk room behind the third row? Currently have an aviator and can’t wait to get out of it. The transmission lunges and the electronics go haywire at times. Trying to go not as wide as the Lincoln and don’t care on length
I hope it's more reliable than my 2017 Denali Acadia. Had to replace my gear shifter, ac sprung a leak and dumped all the freon, and this morning every warning light on the dash panel lit up for the trip home.
I hate that they did not put electrical buttons to put the 3rd row down. Palisade and Telluride have that. I own a traverse that has the pull string and always wish I picked the one with buttons when I need to pull them back up. For a Denali strings are a no imo.

The freaking Cayenne is the most reliable SUV in America in the last 6 years. That’s laughable.
My wife just got a 2019, style before this, basically same interior, not a fan of buttons for shifting, I do like the bigger screen on the gauges on this one though
I appreciate you sharing that great ownership input!
Absolutely, I bought the SLE trim with elevation package for 37k and so much better than Korean brands
Tired of Toyota mark up prices too…
Love ♥ the Chrome Grill and the car overall smells like America 🇺🇸 as in awesome 👌
You're 100% right Joe. N/A V6 should be standard on a Denali trim Acadia. Have to say I always liked the looks of the Acadia. Great review.
I own a 2022 AT4 Terrain. What is the silver button on the wiper control arm. I have that silver on mine but it doesn't do anything. Is it broken?
I think the telluride is a better deal and you get the natural aspirated v6 in every trim level and the Kia is cheaper with a better warranty 100k sounds like a no brainer, or the transverse is a better deal a little cheaper same drive train as the GMC so maybe go with the Chevy if you want to stay all us made.
Last I heard the tellurides were made in Georgia. Definitely more bang for your buck with the Kia!
Can't find a new one on the lot amd if you do they have 8K markup unfortunately
I like it but that screen is a major zonk for me and considering the fact other GM products have bigger screen for the same price it surprises me that the Denali trim doesn’t have it
I would like Riati’s food references to reflect Holiday celebration foods when appropriate, such as Thanksgiving and 4th of July. You’ll have Halloween nailed down easy. Maybe reflecting fruits and vegetables that are in season at the time of your video releases. Also, what is the opposite of a zonk? Just curious. I enjoy your videos.
hahah that'd be funny, you could fit a whole turkey in the center console or somethin
It’s cruel for that little 4 cylinder to be in that giant car 😣
maybe got semi truck Detroit ENGINE! CYLINDERS!.😄!😱! I DON'T KNOW!
@@karloshernandezs5631 it’s gmc. It’s torture
@@Olvera_emi I know I had one in the past was a LEMON! beautiful ! no more!.. driving a Mazda! 9..👋 BLESSINGS to family!
It will do fine. I’m surprised Toyota hasn’t put their gas 2.5 engine in the Highlander.
Ford Explorer doing the same thing . The 4 cylinder turbo is quite powerful . I would probably stay with a 6 for towing and extra hp.
I just subscribed. I really like Joe's videos especially the SUV ones. I like the way you present your videos. Looking forward to see the full video for jeep grand wagoneer. Hope you become one of the biggest car reviewer's.
I will be waiting for the next video!
Love how the GMC indicates the pressure tyre
Acadia‘s main strengths is ride quality and aggressive exterior although I think the interior stacks up well against most ticky-tacky Kias and some of the more spartan Toyota models but it’s no Audi inside. That being said I love driving my 2015 Acadia and it’s not even a top trim. Great review!
I agree with you over the Transmission. Especially the buttons for the manual mode just sitting there on the right side. Maybe some paddle shifters added to the steering wheel would make things easier.
That Turbo 4 is nowhere near enough power for a vehicle of that size.
Agreed.
Remember it’s only a 4x2. The bigger engine will just spin the tires even more. It needs AWD.
@@user-tb7rn1il3q I don't think so since this thing weighs so much.
@@IamJay02 Incorrect, I spin the wheels on my grandpas minivan which is heavier. When it's dry
$49,000 us dollars for a GMC, nooooo, TOYOTA Highlander starts at $36,000 6 cylinders, better gas mile, better everything, and durability
At least I support American cars
Spoiler alert- the top trim Highlander (platinum) is even more money than the Acadia Denali
Too small
Glad to see it doesn't have a ridiculous oversized monitor
JC Whitney. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Brings back memories
Same here Bob! I am so glad that i can share some laughs with you!
I own a 2021 Arcadia love it I have a family of five and we fit perfectly looking at 2022 Arcadias now perfect family suv
Sir can you make a video on ford expidition xlt 202a with all the options? I asked you cuz i really need it, mine is coming in a few days and i wanna know everything about it and your rewiews help
I will get that together for you!
@@RaitisRides thanks mate
Hi...... any idea when will you post about it?
I would have to take the Toyota over the GM this time👌but the GM looks way 😁cooler😎
Only took watching the first 3 minutes to realize that the Toyota Highlander is a better option.
I knew the telluride was better before I clicked lol
Why?
Everyone always judges gmc. We’ve had 2 so far and they were great care. You have to drive a car before you judge it. The gmc is the car that everyone hates until they drive it, everyone I know who’s owned a gmc before always either bought another one once the lease ended, or kept it. As for the highlander, it may be more reliable, the Acadia is much more spacious and imo better.
I love this guy. Keeping it interesting. I live in the only town in MN that has a Blimpie lol 😂
Even though the info screen is small it’s still better than ugly tablets thrown in on other vehicles. Some look like the tablet that Moses made on the Ten Commandments and stuck it on a vehicle.😂😂
Gotta Zonk the review doing a front wheel drive 4cyl
Please do the awd 6C Denali 💪🏼
This is a fantastic car. I know someone that has one and its like a luxury car and has lots of room
Jeep Grand Cherokee L Limited.
$48,035. 3.6L 6-Cylinder Gas Engine
8-Speed Automatic Transmission
4 wheel drive. And it GORGEOUS!
Great Video 👍👍👍👍
Thoroughly enjoy your walk arounds and descriptions, but would really appreciate your honest opinion on the questions you pose in your video titles. For example, do you think this Acadia is a better SUV than a Highlander or a Telluride? Some type of scoring would be much appreciated. Thanks for considering.
Try the explorer😁
I don't know these are always had transmission problems throughout the years. I definitely don't think that four-cylinder would hold up over many years being turbo and all. I would get the Highlander with the V6 I just think durability overtime is this biggest problem with this thing and it's overpriced
Love the chrome look
I'm zonking the 4 cylinder on a Acadia Denali!!💥 V-6 should be the only option, unless you a turbo to the V-6 as an option.
Reliability of Toyota is unbeatable
4 cylinder engine on a vehicle of this size ?!!! and its made by GM ?!!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 .. you're out of your mind if you buy this thing !!! don't take me wrong it looks grate . I like it the exterior and interior design. but the Relibitly is questionable in the long run !! honest ..
Comes in a v6
looks grate huh
Which mid size has the most trunk room behind the third row? Currently have an aviator and can’t wait to get out of it. The transmission lunges and the electronics go haywire at times. Trying to go not as wide as the Lincoln and don’t care on length
Do you like this or the Terrain Denali better? Thanks.
Nice looking vehicle but not sure why GMC can't update the interior especially on the Denali level.
Love your videos
Like always great video’s guys 🇺🇸👍🏻
I hope it's more reliable than my 2017 Denali Acadia. Had to replace my gear shifter, ac sprung a leak and dumped all the freon, and this morning every warning light on the dash panel lit up for the trip home.
Will the trailer hitch on my 99 Terrain fit this suv
I love it my boy Joe keep up the work and I love the video lot real true 💯👍and funny 😄good 💯
The thing Toyota Highlander wins is the reliability that Acadia doesn’t have. The Acadia wins in no flat black on the fenders
Give the highlander. I need that high mpg and reliability
If I was to get a car in this class this would be at the very bottom of my list
hi JOES, my new BMW series 6 broke down. Can you please tell me how to fix it. It was part of the radiator and the AC too. Please respond.
Ready to upgrade my 2012 Acadia which I love except for the HORRIBLE gas mileage of 13 mpg city, 18 highway.
Love mine!
I hate that they did not put electrical buttons to put the 3rd row down. Palisade and Telluride have that. I own a traverse that has the pull string and always wish I picked the one with buttons when I need to pull them back up. For a Denali strings are a no imo.
Why no automatic windshield wipers yet!?!
