This happens to me when I speak German . I want to say some fancy word while talking (lol you know, just to sound like I know a language well) and then I just block, and could not remember what I've wanted to say in the first place.
For me it's like when I say ' dass ', I always know I should put the verb at the end. But when I finally reach the end, I always forget which verb I wanted to say xD
i think he just forgot a word for a second in happens all the time even when you use your own language....
I feel ya, that's so frustrating and it ends up being without a verb at the end because the pause has been so long that it's not even worth saying that verb anymore @@bloedekuh

I love to hear the German language spoken. I'm an Italian American who likes German cusine. The Hof Brau House had wonderful German food. Sadly the children of the original owners didn't wish to keep the business going. Oh, and I still love Italian food too

@ Not true at all, there is a great variety of German food, but it often varies between regions. There is also a difference between rather urbanized and rural areas. Something characteristic for all of Germany is oc that we have a huge variety of different kinds of bread, sausages and beer.

When in Berlin we loved all the Curryworst stands- went to Curryworst museum- it was lots of fun - however I understand it closed in December.... Berlin has so many great restaurants from all over the world.

Aber natürlich auch regelmäßig Döner, Gyros, Pizza, Pasta und Burger - wobei Döner & Gyros nicht selbst gemacht wird.

also diese Umfrage sollte man vielleicht nicht unbedingt auf der Schönhaueser Allee machen, es wird hier ja so dargestellt als wenn es nur "Fastfood" gäbe! Ich finde man sollte sich in diesem Bereich etwas mehr Mühe geben..., wenn man Studenten aus dem Ausland Deutschland näher bringen möchte! Natürlich ist dies keine Kochsendung, aber mir ist bei einer anderen Folge schon mal aufgefallen, da gings ums Einkaufen in deutschen Supermärkten, da wurde Blutwurst, Eierlikör usw. als total ekelhaft dargestellt... Man muss es ja nicht mögen, aber ich empfinde es despektierlich... "Mei Katz mog Mäus' i mogs net", Grüß Gott aus Bayern! Micha

Eine empfehlung: manchmal die Übersetzungen sind nicht pünktlich. Es würde weil das Deutsch wörter ausgerichtet mit das Englisch wörter helfen. Vielen Dank! Immer unterhaltsam.

Bin immer ganz hingerissen, wenn es in der Kantine Bratkartoffeln gibt. Außerdem: Bratwurst! Da gibt es allerdings große Unterschiede, die weltbeste Bratwurst ist die von Dönninghaus in Bochum.
In Teneriffa war ich mal sehr entzückt, dass es da eine Bäckerei gab, wo es Mettbrötchen gab. Wie sich rausstellte, war das eine panadería alemana ;-)

Ich glaub um Leute zu finden die viel selbst kochen und auch viele verschiedene und traditionelle deutsche Rezepte müsst ihr in den Süden. Berlin schätze ich da mehr so ein das es schnell gehen muss (Imbiss, döner etc).

Hallo!!! Jetzt schreibe ich euch aus phu quoc Vietnanm !!!! Das Essen ist ausgezeichnet !!
Leider sind die Restaurants überall teuer geworden, besonders nach Corona. Früher hat ein Döner 2 bis 3 Euro gekostet, heutzutage kostet ein Döner mindestens 6-7 Euro. Das finde ich total schade, weil Deutschen öfters Döner essen als die Türken. Persönlich bevorzuge ich jeden Tag zu Hause kochen, weil ich mich gesund ernaehre. Es ist manchmal richtige Zeitaufwand zu Hause selber zu kochen aber man kann nicht jeden Tag im Restaurant essen, oder? Andererseits ist die Inflation ziemlich hoch geworden. Ein gutes Gericht im Restaurant ist 15 Euro. Currywusst mit Pommes ist mein Lieblingsessen in Deutschland. Ich esse sehr gerne und trinke ein Bier dazu. Ein typisches Essen ist Roulade, die unser Mitbewohner für uns gekocht hat.

i was surprised when i went to Germany that they still ate mainly traditional German foods, salami, all types of ham, bread, pate, all types of sausage, veg was limited to just a few things. i was surprised when i went to a supermarket the meat section was so limited to, it was so hard to get real meat? steak and chicken.. having to go to the butcher part of the supermarket to get it. Its been around 12 yrs since ive last been there though so maybe its different now? i wasnt impressed with the food though, so much processed red meat!
Depends on the area. ;-) Usually there are meals with meat but also lots of vegetarian options.
My answer is a bit late, but I have to say we germans eat a lot of different vegetables and love cooking at home with regional and seasonal inggredients, or even vegetables spices and fruit of our own gardens, but there are also a good portion of people who eat only things precooked from the supermarket with a lot of unhealthy things in it like sugar and so on. You could say the country is a bit divided between the unhealthy and more american style of eating and the other half likes to eat healthy. We eat a lot of italian food this is very true too. Döner from the turkish people is very popular too.

Nach einer Reise durch Deutschland noch nicht die Vielfalt der kulinarischen Köstlichkeiten Deutschlands entdeckt, nicht geschmeckt, nicht die Finger geleckt? 🤔 Dann KHÖRD EICH ZONG GSCHABD, wie der Schwabe zu sagen pflegt. 😛
Deutsche Kultur schön kleinhalten, das kennt man. Das fängt bei Sprache an, geht über Kunst, Städte-/Gebäude-Gestaltung bis hin zum Essen.
Currywurst schön und gut, aber die deutsche Küche (auch die polnische Küche) hat weitaus mehr Facetten als das, was hier genannt wird.
! Täglich ! essen gehen (vietnamesisch, billig oder nicht) und zuhause Mikrowellen-Essen "zubereiten" und wen wunderts, das auch noch in Berlin (Paradebeispiel).
Käsespätzle haben den Beitrag noch halbwegs gerettet 😋

Seems you chose a cheap hotel, where you didn't pay much for the breakfast. The other day we were in a more expensive hotel (just once for one day) and I was amazed by the superfluous breakfast table. So much choice, one would almost NEED twenty days to try it all. Not greasy, but healthy. You get what you pay for usually.
What did you eat for breakfast that it was greasy? Traditionally I can't think of anything that is greasy to eat for breakfast in germany.
Meine Gastfamillie geht nirgendwo in Restraunts... aber ich möchte eine kleinen Metzgerei in meinen Stadt. Manchmal ich gehe da und kaufen Chicker Taler. Es ist ganz lecker! So warm und perfekt.
Und jedem Nacht zuhause wir haben kalten Essen. Für Beispiel, fünfte Nächte in Folge wir haben Brotchen, Fliech und Käse.
