Started with a 7.5m MH Chausson, lovely van with a island bed and drop-down, slept 4 adults comfortably, 5 using the seats as a bed. Had 4 travel seats. Loved it but after 9 years downsized to a 6m hi-top camper-van, a great design but only 2 belts, sleeps 2 but feels more spacious as no fixed table. Easier to drive and park, but I preferred the bigger van for space. Size and finding a space with space for the overhang was never an issue for me, a bit of a challenge at times, but I love a challenge.
It's a matter of personal taste but I would never buy a camper without a small loo/shower room. We were in the Lake District a few weeks ago and the couple next to us were out the first time in their £57,000 pop top and were setting up their toilet tent! They were amazed that my 5.45M AS Symbol had a loo and a shower. It may be a small room, but ideal at 4:00am for a call of nature and 100 times better than going outside to a tent - in my opinion.
Great video showing the size options. I've recently moved up from an Alphard to a V Line. It suits us perfectly. One question though, have you any idea where that V Line of yours had the windows tinted? With them being plastic I can't find anyone to do mine. Love the privacy of tints.
Personally I would go for the Rapido though Autotrail is my favourite type of van, so on this occasion would choose the bigger van, question why are the European kitchens so different thanks for sharing 😊
