    What do you guys think of the anamorphic & aide-angle + ND filters? Thanks for watching!

      is ND8 a waste of money? can you tell in which scenario nd8 is needed?

    • @keith-knittel

      @@digitalavatar5699 Depending on where you live (in Ohio, it's generally not as bright outside as somewhere closer to the equator), the lower ND filters are worth it. I think an ND4 is one you could get away with not using, but a ND8 is useful for me. I have a video going over ND filters in more detail, check that out for a more in-depth explanation

    Smudging isn't much of an issue. I can't count how many times by fingers went over the ND filter lens. The kit comes with a cloth for cleaning, but I have so many from other things we have bought over the years. I clean the ND filter between by fingers before placing them on the lense. I also then clean the front of the lense and the back ND filter again before placing on the cameral. I also don't remove the ND filters if I don't have to. I only remove when I need to switch. I just store the lenses with them attached if I know I am going to use them the same way the next time I am out.

    This was my initial request of them when I received their initial anamorphic lens for the Mavic Air 2, they came out with the set of anamorphics with a range of built in ND's. It's great to see they listened to their user base creating these with the interchangeable ND's.
    Hopefully this continues on in some way as you suggested at the end of your video here, so you don't need multiple sets of ND filters. They should be able to apply this same technique to say a CPL or just a clear glass piece, so you can switch out these interchangeable ND's.

      I really like that they are listening to their customers and making more lenses/filters that we are asking for! Would love to see a more "universal" stacking option, but this is a step in the right direction for now! Thanks for watching and commenting as always, Alex! Appreciate your long term support!

    Quick question, which is a better buy? Freewell Bright Day - 4K Series - 4Pack ND8/PL, ND16/PL, ND32/PL, ND64/PL or this Freewell Wide Angle Lens with ND Filter Compatible with Pocket 2. Trying to decide before I order.

    • @keith-knittel
      @keith-knittel  3 года назад +1

      That really depends on what you want to do with the lenses. If you need a wider field of view at all times, go with the wide angle + ND filters. If you don't need a wider field of view, but need ND filters, go with the bright day pack. Really wish the ND filters of the wide angle were compatible with the camera without using the lens. Both are good options, but if you only need one - make sure you know what you're going to shoot mostly before purchasing. Great question, thanks for asking and watching!

    Great review. I am just wondering beside the “squeeze factor” and fancy bokeh then the anamorphic is basically a wide angle lense? Or what is the difference.
    I can only afford one of them and not sure which one should I go with, would be great to hear your inputs!

    • @keith-knittel
      @keith-knittel  2 года назад +1

      Hey there Toyrapy - sorry for the late reply, but the squeeze factor of the anamorphic does make the latitude of the frame wider, but the top and bottom of the frame isn't wider. If it is, it's not nearly as much as the wide angle lens. Id say as a more general lens, the wide angle will be much easier to use and pair with other footage. However the anamorphic lens is much more stylized and gives you a distinct look. Hope that helps!

      @@keith-knittel Appreciate your response. Guess I'll go with the Wide-Angle one. Thanks!

    Hi Keith. I couldn't find the set you show in your video anymore on the Freewell website.
    Can you tell me where I can order? Thank you.

      Ooh man, yeah it looks like the links to Amazon are for the old filter now - crazy. Not sure why they removed these or if they are just out of stock now? If I can find them I’ll update the links in the description. Thanks for pointing that out

    My DJI Pocket 2 wide angle lens fell out plenty of times because of the weak magnets - is this an issue of the Freewell lenses?

    • @keith-knittel
      @keith-knittel  2 года назад

      I haven’t used the pocket 2 wide angle in a while but I haven’t had any issues with it when I was using it. Are the magnets not stable in the lens?

      Hey there Michael - I'm trying to find an updated link but it looks like they removed the Pocket 2 lenses from their Amazon listing. Will try to find a good link, thank you for the heads up!

    Just picked this up, and am new to video stuff and editing. For the life of me I can't figure out how to desqueeze at the 1.15 ratio in Davinci Resolve. Any ideas?

    are they useable for Pocket one?

    • @keith-knittel
      @keith-knittel  3 года назад

      I havent done any testing, but I snapped the lenses onto the pocket 1 and they attached to the front, but the camera on the P2 is slightly larger. I can't believe I didn't test this in my original video here, but I'll try to test this if I get some free time. I'm working on a few videos at once right now, so I'll have to circle back to this. Sorry for the half-assed answer, great question. Thanks for watching
